Winter RV Camp at Porteau Cove Park, BC with Friends!

So it's been a little while since we've been out on a camping trip and taking our van. So we're heading out now finally to Porto Cove and to meet up with some friends. Yeah actually if you've watched our channel for a while you'll sort of know Stephen and Darlene. They have Transporter. It's a Zion SRT so very similar to ours. They've passed us on the road. And we're also meeting up with Pete and Alex who you may remember from one of our videos at Pacific Rim National Park where we covered their van building. They are looking forward to getting together. Hopefully the weather will be nice there. It's a bit foggy everywhere else but hopefully sunny. Probably close to freezing at night. So we hope you enjoy this video. Yeah many times. All right. Are the rules in? We do. Very good. I think we know those people behind us too. So just an appetizer plate we put together for our friends. Everything's all frosty still so I'll wait for the sun to come around and melt some of the frost in the logs. We're just enjoying the sun just coming up over the ridge and Stephen and Darlene just left in their Roadtrek Zion SRT, the Transporter. And we had such a great time with them. Pete and Alex are still here so we'll go for a walk with them a little bit later. But yeah we had a great evening chatting around the fire and also this morning. Nice morning coffees in front of the fire. It's great and the weather's just fantastic. We're so happy. And Finch is sleeping in his usual driver's seat spot. Very high tide this morning. Don't think this camera will pick it up. A couple seals were poking up their heads out there. Temperature's right around freezing. Maybe slightly above. I noticed just a minute ago a few snowflakes. Such a beautiful view here. We had a nice fire about four o'clock until maybe six and Alex and Pete joined us for some hors d'oeuvres and sampled some wine and we overlooked this view. It's just always amazing. Finch seeing what's happening. Hey buddy. So we're just about to head out. We packed up. Weather has changed probably for the worse and even saw a few snowflakes a few minutes ago. Yeah so it's a good day to head out. We've had beautiful weather. So lucky. Usually when we leave a campsite the weather actually gets good as we're driving away so this worked out really well. Yeah and we had a nice time sitting by the fire with Alex and Pete last night. Had some wine, had some appies. It was fantastic. Yeah it was a lot of fun. This whole trip we did far less outdoor and not too much filming. We've been here so many times too. It's always so beautiful. But we had a lot of fun just socializing with Stephen Darlene and Pete and Alex as a group the first night and Stephen Darlene had headed home and Pete and Alex were over here last night. It was just fun. Such a beautiful place and I don't think we've talked as much about vans and camp spots you know for a long time so that was a lot of fun. Yeah and yeah there's so much to talk about with van folks and Darlene and Steve they've really kitted up their Roadtrek Zion SRT. They've done a lot of improvements and hope we have an opportunity to maybe tour their van in the future. Yeah they've done some some great work. We'll get a chance to show that to everyone at some point in the future hopefully. So we're going to head home. Finch might jump up in front of the camera we'll see. He's kind of fussing around the front here. And there's Finch. You might see his nose or his fur. There we go.
