Hello friends Merry Christmas Merry Christmas hello everyone how are we all doing today it is time for a little Christmas book haul usually my Christmas book hauls are massive this one's going to be a little bit smaller this year because I have purposely not asked for books from my family usually my family get me a lot of books for Christmas and my birthday but I have a lot of books at the moment and I tried also to like cosmically not encourage people to buy from my wish list I like you guys I couldn't shut it cuz my family did use it to buy me some books but I Tred to like cosmically encourage you to spend your money elsewhere even though I do appreciate it I have got a couple books from you guys as well which I'm so grateful for but I thought today who we got a bit of a creaky chair but I thought today we would just open them together like we usually do and do a Christmas book haul I'm very excited to see what I've got shall we just get into it it's going to be a bit shorter but I'm very excited all the same it's Christmas I film this on the 23rd I always film this like just before Christmas Christmas Eve on the 23rd and it's like pregaming Christmas it's like starting Christmas out so I'm so excited and I can't wait to see what we've got should we just start should we just start should we just start let me know what books are on your Christmas list let's see first book I want to see the note first who is this from I'm going to start with all the ones from you guys and then do my family the very mysterious Discord elf we've got okay if you don't know the Discord elf Discord Miss elf is a big thing on my Patron Discord we have Secret gift givers who call themselves a Discord elf and like we have like I don't know which one this is there's a lot I don't know who this is at this point so I decided to go and investigate [Music] it the very mysterious Discord L says Merry Christmas I hope you have a wonderful day thank you M for all the brilliant content you've put out this year I hope 2025 is a better one for you thank you very mysterious that's definitely the energy we're trying to take in to 2025 but yes my patreon God they are so kind and generous and love to each other and just like these people gifting everyone books anonymously is so amazing so let's see what the very mysterious Discord alha has got they have got oh okay we have got the fall of RIT Rivera by Crystal malardo this is a ya author who I really enjoy she wrote um fat chance Charlie Vega which is my favorite one from her then she wrote what was that one no filter and other lies oh I don't know that could be what it's called that could not be what it's called but I really like her writing style for ya what is this one about could you plan homecoming with your hot Nemesis or enemies to lovers enemies to lovers babes oh x x lovers to lovers to enemies to lovers seriously because no she's eating she ate with that gobbl clear the plate they broke up and then they're enemies oh how exciting I'm very very excited is a snug and cozy Autumn romcom that also handles weight tier topics like PCS chronic illness sexuality fat phobia Latin identity and class interesting I feel like Crystal man does a really good job of covering topics That You Don't See covered a lot elsewhere so I'm really yes okay it was no fil other Li I just seen on the back thank you so much very mysterious Discord elf that is very exciting I've really enjoyed reading Crystal madoo I feel like I don't read a ton of ya contemporary SL romance anymore but I feel like crystal madoo is an author I will keep coming back to okay what's oh my God these Parcels are so hard to open I can't get in I'm just tearing it open at this point I've just seen a corner and I think I know where that is I would know that anywhere oh no there's no note I feel like this always happens with this series okay if this was you please let me know if I don't have my Discord secret Center I'm guessing this is from them if not it's from someone else please let me who you are but we have got a fire at the exhibition lady hard C Myster by T KY this is the next lady Hard Castle need to read I will read this pretty soon I love lady Hard Castle if you just watched my Christmas manies video I wasn't even supposed to reread Christmas at the grain which is a little christmy lady Hard Castle Noella but I just couldn't resist I just love lady Hard Castle FL this is a five star five star five star cozy historical mystery series to me where we follow lady Hardcastle and her maid flow who are like besties and they solve Mysteries and it's in this quite English town that happens to be the murder hot spot of the world and they have like a SP by Espionage past that's really fun and I love their relationship and I love the characters and this one it seems like it's in Littleton Cal which is my favorite sometimes they go out to like nearby cities and stuff but I love the stuff in the town The Villages inaugural art exhibition but at the exhibition opening there a panic shout of fire an extremely expensive book is stolen as is a valuable painting led by Sir Hector Farley stoud oh then the race the bicycle race starts out as a Charming day out ends in a shocking death and the fary STS are real their in debt and might lose their house holy [ __ ] I would be lying to my core if I said that I hope there's no more drama here oh my God that's a big plot point the FY shrouds are a big part of this series interesting I love I love this series I love the series I Le there's only two more well this and one more out currently and then I'm up to date I just love them I love them you guys you need to read lady Hard Castle if you read lady Hard Castle lady if you read lady Hard Castle listen to the audb listen to audiobooks listen to the AUD books the AUD book narrator is one of the best one of the best in the business I love her I would love to see actually I should look at what else the AUD book narrator has done cuz she is just outstanding and I love these characters thank you so much for ever got this for me please let me know who you are oh my God I feel so lucky oky dokie is there a note okay okay I know what it is but I want to look at the note first this is from esie Hi Megan happy holidays I hope you enjoy this one I really did from ese thank you so much ese we have got Funny Story by Emily Henry I shall be read this in January so this is a great purchase I have now read two Emily Henry's and I've given her a 4.5 and a four I feel like Emily Henry is going to be a fourstar author for me the kind of author where I can admire they're a great writer they always serve it to me they always give me something fun but they're not like five star I have CJ chuda in mystery thriller I have Christen Hannah in historical these are four star authors to me and I feel like em Henry is that for me so I'm very excited for this I think there's nothing wrong with having an author you can like rely on for a four star right I think that's a good thing so sorry I keep touching my face there's like cat fur in the air is always the way I actually don't know what this is about I just know that I'm read again daely always loved the way Peter told their story that is until it became the prologue to his actual love story of his childhood Bessie Petra oh yeah and she ends up rooming with Petra's ex so they've both been dumped by their respective partners and then they find each other okay interesting interesting interesting I'm very excited thank you so much SD I shall be reading this in January so a great pick cuz it all enter my TBR and leave my TBR fairly swiftly but that is very exciting love the Emily Henry I'm intrigued to see if this one could be my first five star or just another solid four I don't think I'll ever give her less than that I just see her as just like she made like Ali Haywood and Abby Jimenez are romance auths for me in the way they might not be for other people I don't know if Emily Henry is quite that but I have fun okay next one whoa whoa whoa what do we got going on here holy [ __ ] let me see who this is from first this is from Emma getting you to two volumes happy holidays oh my goodness Emma has only gone and got holy [ __ ] Emma has gotten me volumes four and five of saga if you don't know this is a Sci-Fi comic book SLG graphic novel series that I'm very slowly making my way through I read like one a year but that is so exciting the fact that I got two volumes maybe I could read both of these in very quick succession I really enjoy Saga saga's like I feel like a little bit different than some other stuff I read where it's a bit like har like a lot of the graphic novels I read are like cutesy silly he he romance teddy bears fun and cutesy this is the only one I read that's more like dark and like edgy um it's about a young family where the parents like Society doesn't believe that those two races I guess should mate sorry I had to let daa in cuz she was making loads of noise at the door but now she's making loads of noise in here and I can't remember what I was saying what was I saying about Saga yeah I really enjoy this I really enjoy Saga again like I've kind of four star series but it's I'm enjoying having kind of like a Sci-Fi graphic novel also they're like so short they're so quick to read so I don't know why I'm only reading one a year it's more just like getting my hands on them these are so so expensive for like how quick you read them so in my brain I'm like oh can I justify it so I tend to like hope that I get one every year for Christmas or birthday and then I read that that year but now I've got two we'll see how quickly I can get through thank you so so much Emma okay and this is our final one from from you guys oh my goodness there is a note there's a big note let's see who this is from okay I think this is my secret Santa I'm pretty sure it also says the Christmas Discord elf from the Christmas Discord elf but then it but then but it says love secret Center so is my secret center from the patreon you you can message me on alster secret Center are you also the Christmas Discord elf have you been masquerading us both I'm here to investigate and find out what had happened you've sent me a lot of books you've sent me a lot of books so let's let's see I think we've got three holy [ __ ] this is far too generous oh my God okay first you have got you'll never be me by Jesse sento I have not heard much about this considering this author has had so much success with daray for aunties or with ver Wongs yeah I haven't heard a lot about this considering this author's success this is more of like a stereotypical Thriller I'm stalking my best friend there's no use denying it Aspen Palmer with her excuse me I'm trying to talk here with her millions of followers and beautiful family has everything I want worst thing is I showed her how to get it and now I'm dead to her oh but she wants to take her down okay this is interesting obviously I've only read ver Wongs from um Jesse Kanto or this one's Jesse Santo but um I'm very intrigued by this one very intrigued for like a more stereotypical Thriller and maybe seeing how her writing style is different then we've got a new release that I've been w interested in it is the house of Last Resort by Christopher golden moving to the half rued Italian town of beina feels like a romantic adventure for American couple Tommy and Kate pigi but from the moment they move in they feel a shadow has fallen on them their home was owned for Generations by the church but the real secret is what the priest did in the house all those years and how many people died in the strange Chapel inside okay interesting I feel like religion I haven't read a lot of religious horror books I I was going to say I feel like religion is underplayed in horror but it's not surely like especially in horror films there's a lot of like religious Exorcist undertones but I haven't read a ton of it so this is very exciting very intrigued by this one I've never read anything from this author but the plot sounded super interesting so thank you so much to my secret Center and then this is the P resistance I am so excited for this one the seventh veil of salom by Silvera Garcia that's what we've been waiting for it's what we wanted all yeah I'm so excited this is a new release from 2024 that's probably one of the ones I'm most excited to get to you it is set in Golden Age Hollywood and ever since I've read the seven husbands every Hugo I've been like why are there not more books set in Golden Age Hollywood it just feels like a gold mine a gold mine for like sorry I just coughed I've cut it I've cut it out probably but if I look a bit teed it like got me um gold mine for interesting character and drama and just oh atmosphere everything I just feel like it's such a good setting and it's about this like character that everyone wants to play but a unknown Mexican anenu is cast in the lead role she quickly becomes Talk of the Town I'm very interested in this I'm interested to see what s Garcia does with the time period I'm interested to read another like kind of historical one from her cuz I feel like I've read a lot of her more horror leaning stuff or thriller Noir and I think maybe her historical stuff could be more what I lean towards I I think it's crazy that t Jenkin read they've got blur from on the back here but the she's credited author of Daisy Jones and the six when you have EV who go right there what's going on that is not good Marketing in my opinion but thank you so much secret Center oh I'm so happy I want to read this one so bad I just think Hollywood P to resistance P to resistance why have we not got more set then okay and then finally I have got three books from my family this first one is from my grandparents I believe let's see what it is I've just torn it and look oh my God oh my God between this and the SE Garcia two of my most anticipated books we have got holy [ __ ] I can't even look at it the untold story of the rise and fall of Disney Channel's tween Empire Disney High by Ashley Spencer it's got decl edges as if it couldn't get any better it's got deed edges oh oh oh my God okay if you don't know the law I put this in one of my most anticipated releases videos of the Year okay I found this on Twitter just the author tweaking about it and I said yes please yes please I [ __ ] love Disney Channel I grew up I was raised by the Disney Channel and I lived at the peak you know when I was young Liz Maguire and that's a raven one and I hit like six or seven probably I mean does it say is that oh there's a timeline when did Hannah Montana start 2006 okay when I was six T Montana starts and you've got like Wiz the wavering place you've got Sunny With a Chance Sweet Love second Cody you know all that [ __ ] I was at the peak okay so I love it and then my patrons have read it and started loving it it was then nominated for the good reads uh choice I just say good re mystery good re's choice was in the non-fiction category and we believe it is down to us it's down to me promoting it in that video and then my patrons reading it and making everyone else read it and reading it amongst themselves and all giving it five stars yeah this is us this is us wait is this [ __ ] play about us not to be a conspiracy theorist or anything but this is us oh my God I have heard such good things about this all of my oh my God I'm going to scream all of my patrons who have read this have given it five stars I am high schoool school high SCH music higho whenever I see scream from High School Musical 3 appear on my Twitter timeline I simply have to watch it the whole way through I love scream Kenny Orga should have directed with kid there I said it there no I love wi I just imagine read more Kenny orer in the world this is going to be five stars without a shut of a doubt this is going to be five stars I'm going to love this it is probably everything I want from a non-fiction it is going to be so interesting I love this I love this kind of thing I'm just looking at the chapter titles High School Musical oh That's So Raven Simone halary D Miley Cyrus Hannah Montana oh my God thank you so much my grandparents well my mom probably picked this for them but what I I just hit myself in the ey with the bu B but what a pick okay then we have got two books from my parents let's see what we've got oh okay another good pick cuz I'm reading it in January how to end a Love Story by Ulin Quang I honestly don't know a ton about this I'm reading this because it won Best debut in the Good's Choice Awards we have got Helen Zang is the bestselling author who can't write her own happily every after Grant Shepherd is the screenwriter with a movie star looks who can't afford his therapists they're put together to adapt her books for television only he's last person she ever wanted to see again she's never forgiven him for what happened 13 years ago I'm inted by this one I'm surprised at one debut I was expecting another book to win debut especially because this one was it even nominated in Romance or I think I don't think it came very high in Romance so I don't know it's just fascinating to me that this one and I want to see why I'm very intrigued by it so thank you so much Mom she's buying me the books I need to read and this another one yeah okay okay well done mom she's got me another one for that video we have got ruthless vows by by Rebecca Ross so this is a sequel to Divine Rivals which I enjoyed but didn't love I gave that like 3.5 and I'd like on my own probably wasn't continuing with the series but it's only geology so at least we're going to finish the series with this one I really like the UK covers for these with the people like these Illustrated people on them I know that's unpopular I hate the US ones I hate them I think they're so ugly yep yep yep yep yep but I really like these ones what can I tell you what can I tell you there's like a war going on on and they both write stuff and it's like a romance War Fantasy book I don't want to tell you much more than that cuz I can't remember what's a spoiler or what's not but Rebecca Ross is so interesting to me because I read a river Enchanted by Rebecca Ross which is like a previous kind of adult fantasy and I just felt like that one was so unique right I didn't necessarily love it again I had issues with it but it was so unique the ideas the tropes the relationships between characters like the types of relationships the way people reacted to things and Magic system all felt very fresh or very like never been done before right I had issues with the way it was implemented but this one felt very like Tik Tok tropes which I guess is like maybe difference between writing for adult versus ya but it was like these are the tropes Tik Tok people like let me write them and that it's done a well cuz it bloody one wins every year and has sold probably millions of copies but it's just interesting reading from an author in different age brackets and seeing a drastically different approach but anyways I'm actually excited to continue SL finish this series now like I said I wasn't going to continue it of my own valtion but I'm actually glad to be reading it for a video in January so there we have it friends that is my little Christmas book haul let me know what you thought of any of these books I feel so lucky the standouts are silver Garcia the 7th F salom and Disney High absolutely absolutely I'm so excited for both of those but I'm excited for all these These are great picks thank you so much if you bought me one thank you so so much um and I love you all so much and I'll see you very soon I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and I will see you very soon soon in another video bye [Music]
