Welcome to Bali, a land of vibrant colors, exotic aromas and stunning natural beauty.
If you're looking for accommodations on this island, then you've come to the right place.
My name is Camilla and I'm a YouTuber and a travel photographer
and I'll take you on a journey through the most incredible accommodations in Bali.
From the luxurious Ayana resort to the budget-friendly $15 a night, there will be something for everyone here.
The places you'll see in today's episode are arranged in three categories, luxury, economy and budget.
I'm here to inspire your next adventure and show you the best places to stay around the world.
So let's dive in and see what Bali has to offer.
Good morning, guys, and welcome to a new video here from beautiful Bali.
In today's video, I'm going to share with you some of the best places to stay in Bali.
We're going to do some luxury and we're also going to do some budget versions for you guys,
so there will be something for everyone.
Right now, however, we got invited to Nanuku House by our friends Laura and Nicholas.
It's so cool to be here.
I watched the house tour from this villa like so many times, so it feels a little surreal to be here
and I'm just very grateful to be here and this place is just stunning.
There's already a really good house tour that Lauren made from this house that I'll link above.
This is, of course, a more high-end option, but it's four bedrooms.
I'm just going to show you quickly how this space looks.
It's so massive that I'm not going to do a full-on house tour.
This is the pool area and it's, of course, my favorite area because it's so beautiful.
We have an outdoor shower, a massive pool, and it's great for kids as well.
I will take you inside where we just had breakfast and then show you the rooftop at the end.
The outdoor kitchen as well is so beautiful.
We were cooking here last night and it's so good.
This is the common area and we just had breakfast at this beautiful table.
I love the art throughout the whole house. It's stunning.
Yesterday, for Neopi, we were just having all the lights off.
The day before, we even used the projector screen.
There's a big projector screen that goes down there that you can have movie nights and everything.
We've been cooking a lot at this kitchen.
It's all just so massive, but the cool thing about this place is that it is fully staffed.
You can have people make the food for you and clean up and do everything.
And then there's a lot of different bathrooms here.
Pink. All the bathrooms have different colors.
I'm going to take you upstairs and show you another favorite part of this house.
This is the upstairs area where they have such a beautiful lounge area where you can have a barbecue.
They even have a plunge pool and a sauna.
They also do still have some views of the rice paddies.
Over here is the plunge pool.
That actually also has views for the rice terrace right there.
It's so stunning.
And the plunge pool is actually cold, so after you go in the sauna, you just jump right in here.
It's four bedrooms here, so if you guys are four couples or a bunch of friends,
renting this place actually doesn't turn out to be that expensive.
And it's in a great area here in Canggu. Now you know.
Thank you for having us.
Get ready to be blown away by the stunning Ayana Resort.
This luxurious hotel is so massive that it can be overwhelming to decide which of their four properties to stay at.
But don't worry, I got you covered.
In an upcoming episode, I'll give you a tour of all the properties, including their private villas,
the modern Sagara by Ayana, their budget-friendly Rimba by Ayana,
and their original property, the Ayana Resort.
And believe me, with 220 acres of lush tropical gardens and stunning pools, you won't want to miss that.
Check this out, guys.
This place is called Villa Yapun, and it's located right here in Ubud.
This place has six bedrooms, and it can sleep up to 12 people.
And the best thing about it, it's like $300 a night.
Okay, so Laura and Nicholas invited us to this villa, and it is really cool.
As I said, it's located 10 minutes from Ubud center.
I will just take you into the common area, because this place is massive.
It literally looks like a mini hotel, but you can rent the whole place.
It has a full-on kitchen that has everything you need.
It has a table for you, your friends, and your family, and probably your neighbors.
We've been relaxing a lot here, getting some work done, and it's just really nice.
Okay, the best part about this place is, of course, the pool and the view of the beautiful rice fields.
When it's sunset and sunrise, the light shines beautifully throughout the whole place.
I am not going to show you all six bedrooms, because they almost all are identical.
The two master bedrooms look the same, and the four smaller ones look the same as well.
I'll take you to one of the master bedrooms first.
It has a big king bed that was super comfortable.
I did the bed, so it's not as clean as it is when the staff does it.
And then behind this wall, you have the bathroom.
It has a large bathtub, big vanity to get ready, and then on this wall, you can leave all your luggage.
It is an open bathroom, so you do have to share the room with somebody you really like,
because you will hear each other when you go to the bathroom.
And now I'll take you to one of the smaller bedrooms.
None of them are small, it's just that those are larger.
And yeah, it's a bedroom here, here.
All these bedrooms are the same, so I'll show you one of them, and then you get the idea of how they look.
Yeah, they all have large art pieces on the wall.
So the only difference about these rooms is one of the rooms has an indoor bathroom,
and the other ones have an outdoor bathroom.
You can now take a shower outside.
They even have a little pathway here.
You can walk to your shower, and then if you like to shower outside, you can do that here.
So yeah guys, that's Villa Yipun.
Again, $300 a night, so it's a pretty good deal,
especially if you have a whole group, friends, family traveling.
This is a perfect place to bring them.
Thank you so much for having us.
Thank you, Laura and Nicholas, for inviting us again.
And now, on to the next villa.
How cute is this villa?
We are now at Yuka Villas, and this is a two-bedroom, tiny apartment here in Bali,
and it's perfect for couples.
We shared it with Laura and Nicholas last night, and it has two bedrooms.
There is a one-bedroom on the other side, and they're all listed on Airbnb.
We paid around $180 for one night, and between each couple, that's less than $100 for a place like this.
We have an outdoor shower, we have a beautiful pool,
and the little bridge is just so cute that makes this whole place.
It's like we're in this little village.
It's, of course, Mediterranean-style, mixed with a little Balinese.
So this is the common area, and it's outdoors, which is totally fine because it's Bali, so it doesn't get cold.
We have an outdoor kitchen that has everything we need, stove, filtered water,
and a good fridge that's actually freezing cold, so all the sodas and bin tanks are ice-cold, which is perfect.
This is the master bedroom.
They're both pretty similar, but this is the one that is a little bit larger,
and they are pretty similar.
I'm going to show you the other one too, but yeah, it has a large bed, a big closet to store your stuff in,
and then they both have similar bathrooms as well.
It feels like an outdoor bathroom, but it's just because they both have a skylight.
But what's cool is it's two showers, so couples and friends and everyone can shower together.
Friends can shower together.
If you're into that.
And then the other bedroom is, as I said, almost identical.
I do love all of these glass doors.
It's like, I would be so happy living here.
This is everything I need.
Yeah, you see, it's the same.
It's just a little tinier, but the bed is super comfortable.
I love a low bed.
In here is where we've hidden all our luggages.
And then the same with this bathroom.
Again, two showers.
Exactly the same as the other one, just smaller.
This little common area is perfect.
We sat here, had some drinks.
This location is also pretty good.
It's right in Canggu, so you have everything you need within five minutes.
Scooter ride.
Overall, we've been super happy here.
I wish I could stay here longer.
And we're probably going to come back to this place.
So yeah, on to the next villa.
Welcome to Besit Bali!
Thank you!
This is one of the places here in Bali that I'm most excited to show you.
Because this has been where we spent one week.
Here in Ubud.
And I'm going to give you a full tour of the whole property.
Because there's so many beautiful places.
But first, come and I'm going to show you the room.
And it's so stunning.
Me and Tora are so happy.
Let's go!
So, we're here to have Tora's yoga retreat for one week.
We've had like a little sleepover every night.
We've been falling asleep while talking to each other.
It's been so nice.
And then, over here.
Here's all the luggage.
We tried to hide it for the video.
But let's keep it real.
This is the couch where we sit and write all our notes.
And share our thoughts.
It's so nice.
And then, we have a pretty cool bathroom.
This is the bathroom.
And it's massive.
I have no idea why there is a bike in this yoga retreat bathroom.
Because it's not very on brand.
Maybe it has a history to this place.
We might have to ask the owners.
We have a massive shower.
This is my favorite part.
The toilet is right behind Tora.
This is literally the sign you see when you sit at the toilet.
So, if you're feeling constipated, just look at the Buddha and let go.
Then, let me show you our favorite part.
Which is the outdoor pool.
This place is literally like a zen garden.
It forces you to relax.
And it's been so good.
And the pool is actually a little cold.
So, it's perfect to cool down and feel good.
And then, the other day, we had a monkey visit.
It came around the corner and said hello.
And it was hanging out for hours.
And then, right down there is where we have a little meditation platform.
Down there is the yoga shala.
Okay, so let's check out the rest of the property.
There are these two butterflies that keep following us.
This is actually the first time I see this room.
And it's so spacious and beautiful.
This place is really built into nature.
This is one of the other rooms here at Vasundhari.
And it's just stunning.
This room is on the top floor.
So, you have a beautiful view when you wake up.
It's two rooms up here.
And then, there's a shared little middle space area where you can have massages.
When you tilt your head right over the balcony, you have the view to another pool.
I'm going to show you the bathroom here as well because it's pretty cool.
All the 11 rooms here vary if they have an indoor or outdoor bathroom.
I mean, showering outside right in the sun.
You literally tan while you're showering.
There you have it.
This place is absolutely beautiful.
So, if you are in the Ubud area, check out this place.
They're not always renting out rooms here like a hotel because it is mostly a retreat center.
But sometimes, there are options to stay here as well.
And if not, join one of the retreats.
It's totally worth it.
Thank you so much, Vasundhari.
Thank you, Toro, for having me here.
And on to the next one.
Now, let's move on to our mid-range budget options
where we will show you comfortable accommodations with prices ranging from $140 to $60 a night.
Located in Nusa Penida, our number six pick is the charming Silavi.
So, guys, we are staying at Silavi here in Nusa Penida.
So, this suite is pretty big.
We have a little minibar section over there.
And we even have a little hangout area with some chairs and stuff where we can watch TV.
But, yeah, we have a massive bed with a view straight to a volcano.
And it was pretty cool to wake up here because we didn't know that was the view we were going to have this morning.
So, that was a good surprise.
The bathroom is really large.
Way larger than we are jogging.
And we have a cool bathtub situation going on here.
Again, with incredible views.
That is pretty much the entire room.
I'll also show you quickly our balcony.
So, this is our balcony.
That was one of the highlights about this room.
You have the best view in Nusa Penida, in my opinion.
We can see the volcano in the background in Bali.
And then we can also see Nusa Lembongan from here.
It's just nice to have your own outdoor space.
It is pretty pricey for being in Nusa Penida.
We paid $150 for this room.
You can get nice places here for like $20, $30.
And then one thing we have to keep it real with you guys as we always do.
While this place is beautiful and everything,
it's located in a pretty remote place.
It was hectic to get here to say the least, right?
We had no idea because on the map it just looks like a little further inland from the coast.
And then once you're here, it looks like we're right on the beach and on the water.
So, it doesn't look that remote.
The only road to get here was really rough.
Camilla was in the car with our luggage and I was following behind by scooter.
And the driver tried to warn us in a WhatsApp message.
And we're like, okay.
We started driving and I'm following by scooter.
And it's getting progressively worse and worse.
And this is at night.
And the road is so rough that I kept feeling like I was about to blow out my tires.
And once we arrived in the parking lot,
the driver stepped out, took a good look at me and I was like this.
And he was dying of laughter.
He was like, I told you.
And it looks like a construction site when you do first arrive.
So, don't get discouraged.
It's still nice.
It is.
So, the part we're at is really nice.
But they're building around it.
So, there's a lot of construction going on.
Just keep in mind, if you do check in here,
you're going to have stunning views, an incredible pool,
really nice staff, great rooms, AC, the Wi-Fi was decent.
Yeah, but you won't have towels sometimes at the pool.
Yeah, so we didn't get towels at the pool because they're washing them
and it's going to take all day.
So, just no towels.
Yeah, and they don't even have like smoothies or fresh juices.
Everything is like syrup.
Yeah, they run out of stuff a lot.
They ran out of rice last night.
Yeah.
And it would have taken an hour to get rice.
For what it's worth, I still think it's somewhat affordable.
It's 140 for one night at a pretty nice place
where you know you're going to be comfortable.
That was worth it.
And good.
I'll leave a link to this place below as well.
And you can check it out.
And now, we will show you the next place.
For number seven, we head back to Canggu
and meet up with our good friends from the YouTube channel Jits Into The Sunset.
Come on in.
Good morning, guys.
We are here with Tania.
Adam.
And we're at their jungle cabin.
Yeah, call it a jungle cabin.
It's more of a cabin than anything else.
100%.
It's located here in Canggu.
And they're going to give me a little tour
so we can show you guys an option, a place you can stay here in Bali.
And I'm excited.
Let's go.
So, this is the main living space.
We've got a very comfortable bed.
It's a massive bed, actually, because it's quite spacious in here.
It's raised off the ground.
You've got the mosquito nets,
which are obviously a must for a really comfortable sleep.
And this is the work area.
This is the work area.
So, this is where we will do all our work.
We'll record our podcast, edit, and everything.
It's just a good, solid little desk with chairs.
We really like how it's decorated
because straight away, you feel like you're at home.
This is our first time in Bali,
so we really just feel like a slice of heaven.
We're very lucky.
And it feels really homely.
And Canggu is just out there,
and all the hectic energy, and the mopeds, and the noise.
But then you just walk into here, and it's just like,
ah, a little oasis.
It's like a zen space.
Yeah, it really is.
So, it's perfect.
Show them the bathroom.
Bathroom?
Yeah.
It's kind of basic, but it does exactly what you need.
Lovely warm water.
Yeah, great pressure.
But lovely decor, really nice.
Does the job, yeah.
Does the job.
Thank you.
Anything more?
We have one more room.
Yes.
I say room.
Section, section.
Functional, but not beautiful.
So, we've got this room here,
which is,
we kind of just use it as storage for all of our clothes.
It's a bit of a mess, but actually,
this is just the reality, and it's nice to show it,
like when you've got your backpacks,
and have everything out.
But the great thing about this is that
often when you get bungalows like this,
they don't have this space,
so then all of your stuff takes over the room.
So, we're able to leave the rest of the place nice and neat,
whilst here we just put all the bits that we don't need, so.
It's incredible.
Yeah, it really is.
The spaces come with a little, like, storage room.
Storage hole, yeah.
Yeah.
Well, obviously, we've done the tour now,
but it's just amazing if you look out of the view.
Yeah, look at this.
This is the best thing.
So, how much are you guys paying?
We are staying here for one month,
so we managed to get a 20% discount through Airbnb.
We're excited about $1,400 for a whole month.
$55 a night or something.
And you like it?
Oh, we love it.
Yeah, we love it here.
We love it, yeah.
Thank you, guys.
Come over again anytime.
In the heart of Seminyak,
we find number eight, the Vince Sky Hotel.
So, this hotel room is pretty massive.
It's right here in the heart of Seminyak.
It's super central.
It has a great location.
It's spacious,
and I'm only going to stay here a few nights to do some editing.
The Wi-Fi was good.
It's breakfast included.
I'll show you a little bit of the rooftop as well.
Yeah, this is the bedroom.
It has a massive king bed.
I literally have been laying this way and that way on it,
and it's been so good.
And then there's room for all of my luggage right there.
It's pretty messy,
but that's what that luggage stand is for.
And the coolest thing about this room is the balcony.
I'm going to show you.
So, yeah, here is the balcony.
We have two lounge chairs just right there.
And then the cool thing,
we have a big hot tub that me and John are going to try out tonight.
This hotel room was around $40 or $50 a night.
It's a little expensive for Bali.
You can definitely get cheaper.
I just wanted something super reliable,
like great location, breakfast included,
good Wi-Fi, and a great space to work,
and it has worked out perfectly.
The staff is so nice,
and they even have a little boogie
that takes you back and forth to where you need to go.
So overall, a great experience.
And finally, for those budget travelers out there,
we have four amazing options in Canggu, Ubud, and Nusa Penida
that won't break the bank.
Located in Canggu,
our first budget option is number nine,
Anjin Sepoy, with its beautiful, cool, and perfect location.
Today, I'm going to show you a quick tour of where me and Tora are staying.
We have actually stayed here before,
and that's pretty funny because we didn't realize until after we booked it.
So this place is around $40 a night,
so $20 for me and Tora,
which is a great price because we're right by the beach.
We have a balcony.
We have a clothing rack where you can hang your wet bikini.
And then, ta-da!
Me and Tora, we have our own little twin bed,
chairs, a little desk.
Me and Tora have been sitting here working a lot.
It's a complete lie.
It's actually pretty spacious for like $40.
We have a big closet.
We have AC.
And then, we do have a bathroom.
And for Bali, this is pretty good.
A lot of places, if you book low budget,
a lot of them just come with this one,
but this one actually has a shower head,
which is really convenient
because both me and Tora have really long hair,
and it's thick.
So this is really good.
That's it.
Now I'll show you some of the common areas.
In Ubud, we found our number 10 pick, Evitel Hotel.
Though the rooms were small,
we had a cozy balcony with a view over this magical tower.
We booked this hotel for its proximity to the monkey forest,
and they had breakfast included,
and the rooftop was pretty stunning
with beautiful views of Ubud.
The friendly staff at the front desk was also an added bonus.
Now, the last two options.
Let's take you back to Nusa Penida.
Okay, guys, so we just checked in to Saka Boutique Hotel.
It's located right in the heart of Nusa Penida.
It's pretty close to the shore as well,
so we're going to head over, rent a boat,
and do all that later.
But yeah, this is the third place we stay in Nusa Penida,
and we're already loving the vibe.
This place has great reviews.
The staff is really cool.
It has a pool, and it's small but so charming.
Let me show you.
Ta-da!
Hello.
And the lighting right now is so good.
God raised.
We have a big bed.
It looks pretty comfortable.
Night stands.
The coolest part about this room is that we have a balcony.
And we can literally pick bananas from our balcony.
I think you need really long arms.
Okay, it's down there.
If I'm like Michael Jordan's Space Jam,
then I could make it happen.
I don't like using the word Bible,
but it has a great vibe.
The only place I haven't showed you yet is the bathroom.
I can barely see you, but a little better.
This place does get used,
and it just feels very clean, very good.
There are other guests here,
which is also always a good sign.
We've been to places where it's a red flag
when there's nobody else there.
So yeah, excited to stay,
and we'll check out tomorrow.
But that's it.
Our final pick is Lamogi Cottage in Nusa Penida.
It's the most budget-friendly accommodation
we stayed at in Bali,
with its simple but comfortable rooms.
This is our homestay.
We paid $15 for one night.
The rooms have AC.
It's a beautiful pool.
It's maybe five minutes from the harbor,
which makes it super convenient
when we go back and forth.
But yeah, I wanted to show you quickly
what you can get for $15 here in Nusa Penida.
We even have a little garden outside.
John is dying of heat,
so he's laying in the bed,
waiting for me to show you guys the room.
Hey. Hey, YouTube.
AC is working?
Yes, it's really good.
Have you ever stayed in a hotel this cheap before?
Well, in Toronto, in Sara.
I was 11, this is 15.
This is a pretty nice room.
Yeah, I'm happy.
And that's the view to our bathroom.
We even have a TV.
This is our bathroom.
We even got a little shape on the bathroom mirror.
And we even have some plants.
For $15, this is pretty incredible.
Okay, I'm done filming.
Yeah? Wow, that was the best room tour you've ever done.
Why?
Quick and easy.
And that was not a ball.
That's a wrap on our adventure
through the most incredible accommodations in Bali.
I hope you've enjoyed this journey
and feel inspired to book your next trip.
If you end up staying at any of these accommodations,
be sure to let me know.
And don't forget to tune in next week
for the full Nusa Penida guide.
Thank you guys so much for watching
and until next time, happy travels.
Bye.
