A WEEKEND DAY IN THE LIFE with the GOMEZ FAMILY!

Girls night! You ready Ty? No. Oh my gosh. I am freezing. Warm in the sleeping bag. Baby, what you say? We can leave today. Anywhere we'll go, we'll be alright. It's all about you. Hey guys and happy Friday. Today's going to be a fun day. Marcos and Ty are headed on a little fathers and sons camp out. Me and the girls are going to have a girls night here. Not really sure what that's going to entail with camping. No idea what they're doing up there, if they're doing hikes or what. But Marcos is going to take you along with him. I don't know what I'm going to do with the girls yet, but I have some fun ideas. I'll kind of let them choose the night. So it's a day in the life with the girls. Day in the life with the Gomez boys. And we're taking you along with us every step of the way. Hey guys, it is Friday. Ty and myself with you right now. We are getting ready for a big night. We're doing an overnighter, a camp out. Now the weather is supposed to be pretty good. Well at least that's what it said all week. Except for tonight. It's supposed to dip down into the 40s, possibly the 30s. So we're going to be camping out in cold weather. We did make a list here of what things we need for a camp out. We haven't camped out probably in a year, right? Seems like a huge list. Drinks, ice for the cooler, some s'mores stuff, cereal cups for breakfast, mini donuts. We're going to sleep in like we did last time. I don't know if you guys remember. Check that vlog out from last year. So this camp out is being organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's just our little congregation that's up in this area of the woods. It's a fathers and sons camp out. So all the fathers and their boys are going to come out all ages. Which is fun, super fun. It builds camaraderie, which we love. We're going to get on the road in less than two hours. We've got to get going, so we've got to get packing real quick. You ready, Ty? No. Yeah. Uh-oh. We might have lost the tent. Well, that wouldn't be good, would it? We need a tent to sleep in. Where would I put it? Maybe it's up there. So, yeah, we don't have a tent. That's probably the most important part of a camp out. A place to stay. We could probably sleep in our truck, yeah. But the whole fun of it is to have a tent. We're going to have to go to the store. There's the tent. Wow, that was surprising. Great, that saves us some time. Got some hand warmers. These are super, super helpful. When it's cold, your hands are freezing, you can't get them warm. And there's no fire around if you're trying to sleep. Shake these up, they get warm. Put them in your pocket, put your hands in your pocket, and they stay warm. All right, so the girls are just about to get home. Marcos has been prepping all day. It's Friday, so we usually do something fun on Friday. Halle might have dance. We've got to check if that's canceled or not. We're going into that final week of school, so it's time to celebrate and do something fun. So we'll see what they choose. All right, Dad and Ty are heading out. What does that mean? Girls night. No boys allowed. Give me five, Stella. She's a little sad that Dad and Ty are leaving, but you have no idea how much fun we're going to have. Kids are out of school. You only have two and a half more days of school. Can you believe it? Because they don't need to know how much fun we're going to have. Stella just woke up from a nap. She's got crazy hair. 100% of fun. Yes. You know what? It was 100 degrees and now it's cold outside. So I thought we could have gone swimming in our backyard, but that's probably not going to happen. Where are you guys deciding to go? You'll find out when you watch the vlog. It's not really warm enough to go on the slides today, but we could just get our passes so next week we can go on the slides. We don't have to wait in a big line. Hallie doesn't want to do that. I have money. Do you? Did you bring it? Okay, so it's been 40 minutes since we left the house and we're still just barely getting on the road. We've had some delays. Number one being what, Ty? I forgot my bag at the house. Forgot his bag, cannibalism. 20 minutes down the road, almost at Walmart to get some last minute things and Chelsea calls and says Ty left his bag with all his clothes. So we decided to go to Walmart and get some last minute things, head back home and get Ty's bag. Wasted about 40 minutes. Another quick update. We are in the drive-thru for dinner. Dinner's gonna be McDonald's tonight. Just some quick cheeseburgers, hot and spicy, you know, all the good stuff. We'll have food, we won't be starved and we'll have a good time tonight. And Stella, you didn't want fettuccine Alfredo. What did you want? Banana ketchup hot dog. Yep, she wanted a hot dog with a banana. So Millie made it while we were gone for three hours. It is late at night. I am freezing. It is cold here. It is probably like 35 degrees. It's supposed to be in the 30s tonight. And it's 10 p.m. right now. I just don't know how we're going to survive. But Ty is by the fire right now. We might have to come into the truck and sleep for the rest of the night. It is so cold. My hands are like numb. I can't even feel them. Hey Ty, how cold are you? I'm actually okay. It's warm in the sleeping bag. But she brought some Swiss Miss. Right? You want hot chocolate? No? That's not a bad idea in this weather. Good luck to us. But this is where we're at. It's beautiful. Both of us slept terrible. It is so cold. The ground is hard. I think it's time to upgrade our equipment. Right Ty? Ty went out and went on a big hike with all the other kids. Ty loves doing those type of things. He saw lizards, other animals, other things. So it was super fun. This is the end of father and son's camp out. How was it Ty? How would you rate this camp out? It was, I would say an 8 out of 10. Just because it was like really cold. I don't think I slept at all. Maybe a cumulative 30 minutes of sleep. So I need to go home and nap. Ty hopefully got some more sleep than that. But all in all, these camp outs are always fun. So on our way, we're going home. Seeing what Chelsea and the girls are doing. And see what this Saturday brings. We are home. And we've got everything unpacked from the truck. And we have joined the rest of the fam. So we're eating Jimmy John's. We love Jimmy John's. Mom got it for us. Lots of conversations. Pretty good food. But we didn't even eat half of the snacks that we brought. Like hardly anything.
