Arduinna - Goddess of Hunting and the Ardennes Forest

Arduinna was the goddess of hunting and forests in northern Gaul. Her devotees believed she was the divine guardian of the Arduenna Silva, or Ardennes Forest. Arduinna protected the wilderness of the ancient woodland in the form of a wild boar. The Romans paired Arduinna with Diana, their goddess of hunting, wild animals, forests and the moon.
