📸 Equipment (*Note that I value lightweight, compact and budget friendly options because of the type of travels I normally do)
iPhone 15 Pro Max - https://amzn.to/3SKEOPR I have moved over to the iPhone for most of the ground footage - it actually takes amazing videos and my phone is always close by.
DJI Mini 4 Pro - https://amzn.to/3W8MVI5 I absolutely love this drone - its small, compact and provides amazing footage.
GoPro - https://amzn.to/3W88ok9 I still use the GoPro for the ‘on the go’ shots. It has great stablization, battery life and quality.

After months of lockdown, confined to our four walls and endless daydreams of freedom,
we finally had our chance. The moment restrictions eased, we laced up our hiking boots, rallied two
of our closest friends and set out to rediscover the magic of Cape Town's rugged beauty.
This wasn't just any hike, we craved something wild, something untamed.
Woody Ravine called our names and what followed was an adventure we'll never forget. This is our story.
The day couldn't have been more perfect. We all met at the car park, buzzing with excitement.
The trail began with an easy, picturesque walk and the scenery was straight out of Postcard.
Table Mountain loomed majestically above us, with Lion's Head, Signal Hill and the vibrant
city of Cape Town painting a breathtaking backdrop. We took our time catching up and
savoring the fresh, crisp air that felt like a gift after months of being cooped up.
Then the sign appeared, Woody Ravine, a steep, no, very steep, uphill section lay ahead.
Undeterred, we dug deep and pushed forward, our legs burning with every step.
As the climb grew tougher, the views became even more extraordinary.
Towering mountains framed the most incredible vistas and we found ourselves stopping often.
Perfect autoslack.
Oh goodness.
Listen for it, listen for it.
When you walk, it's amazing, everyone walks like this.
You could need a long exposure now.
At summer, not summit.
Well done.
Finally we reached the summit. Dropping our packs, we celebrated with snacks,
beers and a moment of triumph. The descent was a winding path that still offered its shares
of stunning sights, leaving us in awe until the very last step.
This wasn't just a hike, it was a reminder of freedom, connection and the magic of nature.
As we made our way back to the car, a quiet sense of fulfillment hung in the air.
We had pushed through a gruelling uphill climb and been rewarded with views that took our breath
away. But it wasn't just the scenery, it was the camaraderie, the shared laughs and the
determination that made this experience so special. Moments like these truly fill the soul.
One thing is clear, this is just the start. There are endless trails and unforgettable
adventures waiting to be explored and we can't wait to lace up our boots again.
If this journey spoke to you, we'd love for you to be part of the next one.
