Carol of the Bells 钟声颂歌 天使之翼Libera版本

Carol of the bells（钟声颂歌）是乌克兰传统圣诞歌曲。

Libera（英国天使之翼）版本的Carol of the bells于2011年经团指挥Robert Prizeman改编而成，和声层次丰富，情绪积极向上，歌声圣洁而有力量。

许多人第一次听到这首歌，大多是在《小鬼当家》中。然而这并不是一首好莱坞歌曲，而最早发源于乌克兰。

早在前基督时期，这首歌便作为一首新年神曲存在，名为《Shchedryk》。后来基督教传入乌克兰，这首歌便成为了乌克兰基督教在主显日的庆贺曲。

1904年，乌克兰作曲家Mykola Leontovych将这首歌改编成了合唱小品；1930年，美国作曲家Peter Wilhousky将其改编成了英文版本（与原曲并没有什么关系...），从此开始风靡世界。

演唱这首歌的小天使们来自于英国伦敦的“Libera”天使之翼合唱团。在古老庄严的基尔本圣奥古斯丁教堂里，孩子们空灵演唱这首《Carol of the Bells》.

天使之翼合唱团经历的三次变身，前身是圣菲利浦童声合唱团（St. philips boys' choir）。1984年，他们第一次以圣菲利浦童声合唱团的身份走进公众的视线，后来在1990年的时候，合唱团改名为了天使之声（Angel Voices），直到1999年，乐团才正式改名为天使之翼（Libera）。

“Libera”意为“自由”，就像他们独特飘逸的白袍一样，空灵歌声充满着自由的的质感。他们的声音融合了传统教会音乐与新世纪音乐，在享受他们复古的音乐之余，又感受到了现代的气息。
