Happy VA Wednesday. Today, we're going to talk about VA loans and the concept of legacy. So,
this video is inspired by a client. I was chatting with him recently, and I was like,
what you're doing is really smart, and I think we need to tell more people about this,
because I don't think people are always thinking long-term. So, if you're new to the channel,
if you're not, maybe we can say it together. It'll be fun. I'm a lender licensed in 48 states,
everywhere but Utah and Rhode Island. My team and I can help you with your loan.
Give us a call, 786-933-2077. We will answer all your questions. We will help you plan for five
years from now. Seriously, everyone on my team is super nice, and we're here to get you home
ultimately, okay? So, use us as a resource, and if you're like, I just want to learn more,
I have a free, totally free, no upsells, no nonsense, no stress va.com course. It's five
minute videos from tip to toe, everything you need to know about VA. Okay, we did it. Yay. Oh,
also like, like, put a comment, something for the algorithm. It's brutal. Legacy. So, here's
what he's doing. So, I was like, okay, you know, why are you thinking of buying a house? And he's
like, I want to buy eight, ultimately. And I'm like, okay, cool. Like, why eight? He's like,
that's how many children I have. And I said, okay, so walk me through this. And he goes,
here's what I want to do. I want to make sure that when I pass each one of my child,
children has a house. They have an investment property, or if they need it, a home to live in.
I want to make sure that I'm leaving a legacy. And, you know, we talked about his story more,
like he had come from a background with not a lot of money. You know, his parents didn't give him
anything to start. And he really wants to make sure with his kids that he's giving them a start.
And you may go, eight houses? Like, how's this guy going to do this? Is he rich? No, he's not
rich guys. He's not rich. That's the thing. Like, there's all these news headlines that are like,
you have to be a billionaire to buy. It's all nonsense. Like, if you look at like who owns
some of these media companies and like corporations buying houses, it's kind of interesting. Right?
So, here's the thing. How's he going to do it? Simple. So, he's active duty. So, what he's going
to do is he's going to buy a house at his current duty station. Now he is paying attention to what
that property will rent for. That's right. Because what he's going to do is when he goes to his next
duty station, he's going to turn that into a rental. He's going to do it again. Okay. Now with
VA, you can have multiple VA loans at the same time. It's as long as you have enough entitlement.
So, if you're lucky enough to be stationed somewhere where housing's not incredibly expensive,
you can get two to three to four houses before you start doing some level of down payment.
And that was his goal. Now look, if you're stationed in Hawaii, San Diego, like those
places are so darn expensive. You're not going to be able to use that VA loan multiple times unless
you sell the house or you refine to conventional, which has limitations. But if you're lucky enough
to be stationed somewhere where there's a lower cost of living, this can be a great way to number
one, start building a real estate portfolio. Number two, start building passive income.
Passive income's the dream. Let's be real about this. Is it super passive? No. If you have a
rental property, you still have to manage it. But one of the beautiful things another client told
me, he's like, Jen, I always buy in military communities because if the person doesn't pay,
the military is going to make them. Well, that's a beautiful thing as a landlord, friends.
So that's his goal and we're helping him with that goal. But I just wanted to bring it to your
attention because here's something to look for. Look at what the news headlines are about housing
right now. They're very negative. You have to be rich to buy a house. Should people wait to
buy a house? Is renting the future? It's so negative and it makes housing seem so impossible.
It makes the concept of buying a house impossible. Every single day, I talk to at least two people
that say, wait, I can really buy a house? And I'm like, yeah, you can totally buy a house.
And they're like, are you sure? I'm like, yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure you can buy a house.
And they're like, oh, I just thought I couldn't. There's so much feeding the narrative that no one
can qualify for a house. At the same time, you have corporations buying more and more houses.
You'll see the articles where they're like, oh, they're not really buying that much. Don't look
over here. But when you start to look at the year over year increase and you look at the money
that's going into companies that do that, there's a real potential shift coming up in the next 10
to 15 years. If I had a three-year-old right now, oh, I would really be paying attention to this.
I would be wanting to make sure that my child ultimately had a home. And I know that always
sounds because we're bred to think that's like a rich person thing. Like rich people leave houses
to their kids. But I'm telling you, you don't have to be super rich to leave a house to your kid.
Ultimately, it's all about planning. And the VA loan is so amazing to accomplish these goals.
Do you have to be active duty? No, no. If you're a disabled veteran and can go anywhere in the
country, we can have some fun, right? If you're a remote worker and can go anywhere in the country,
we can have some fun. Now, if you're in one town for the rest of your life, yes, we can still do
it. There's just a lot of planning that goes into it. So look, I'm here to help you guys maximize
your VA benefit, but also think long-term, you know, and if you don't have children, that's okay.
Legacy is for a multitude of reasons. For instance, my sister doesn't have children,
but she's leaving any house or property she has to our other sister, right? Not me because she
hates me. Just kidding. I'm okay. I don't need one, but you know, she's doing that.
So whether you're looking for a legacy or you're looking for some level of passive income,
ultimately in retirement, check out using your VA loan for this. I am telling you, it is magical.
So reach out, let's put together a plan, you know, 786-933-2077. And I'm going to say this,
because this is really important. You got to live in the house for at least a year. Okay. That's why
I love it when people are PCSing, because I know they're going to be there for a couple of years.
VA is an owner occupied loan. Okay. So please reach out, let us help you. But legacy is something
I would start thinking about. Start watching the news too. Start watching how they're making it
so out of touch for so many people. Just makes it easier for the corporations to buy.
Thanks for watching guys.
