The First Age of the Sun and the Creation of Giants - Aztec Mythology

At the beginning of time, Tezcatlipoca, god of night and change, inaugurated the first era of the Aztec world, the Age of the Jaguar, inhabited by giants. However, Quetzalcoatl, god of life and order, challenged him, leading to a cosmic battle. Defeated by Quetzalcoatl, Tezcatlipoca transformed into a furious jaguar and destroyed the first era. Quetzalcoatl’s victory ended the chaos, established a new era, and restored cosmic balance, preparing the world for a new cycle.
