Laura, Brian, we've all traveled quite a way to see you come together in such a magical place. These few days have flown by and today will as well. It's almost been five years and the time has flown by. I'm still so in love with you as the first time you left for a three-week trip to Europe with your best friend Anthony. I couldn't believe I was making a journal for you every day you were gone to have a little note for me. That's when I knew. When I lost my dad at age 18 I shut down. I turned off all emotion and just started going through the motions of life. I was terrified of getting close to anyone because I never wanted to feel the pain of losing someone I love so much. That day I truly learned what a real broken heart was. Eight years later I met you. This Jersey boy who made me laugh accepted me on my super awkward self on our first date and made me feel comfortable. I loved cuddling with you which was a first for me. I felt safe you felt like home again. You've been so patient with me you gave me the chance to start my career and now you're teaching me how to save for our future and even though I roll my eyes often I hear every word you say I know you want the best for us. The first night we met at Bubble we said we moved to California and look at us now. Three years later in San Diego and I'm obsessed with our life. I love that we have created a life where we are both able to free fall into our dreams without hesitation because we know that the other person is there through it all. I've never told you this but in the first months of dating. A lot of secrets huh? I have one secret but I never keep a secret from you. I walked into the living room you were lying on the floor watching Seinfeld and you busted out laughing. I know I need you. A laugh that sounded so familiar to me similar to my dad's. In a way I thought that was a sign telling me you were a good one. My dad loves Seinfeld and always laid on the floor for some reason I don't know. I felt okay to let you in. You opened my heart and shown me how to love again. We've explored traveled and moved across country. I love hanging out with you you're my best friend my favorite person in the whole world. I tell you everything and I can't keep one secret from you besides that one. Thank you for being so humble and kind. Your parents raised a special man. You truly are my friendly giant. So with that I vow to work on not going to bed angry and to show you every day for the rest of our lives how much joy and love you've brought me and I'm forever grateful to have you as my best friend next to me in this wild thing I love you deeply. It's been such an amazing and exciting ride. From day one you've always brought so much joy and love into my life. Anytime I think of you I bring a smile to my face. You make me a better person every day and I have the best times together. Like when we used to stay up drinking wine in the Heights house all night. Watching you ride a horse with a helmet on. Getting tossed out of the river in Montana. Pulling down the guide and my my dad as well with into the river and to all the amazing places we've been traveling to Paris with Jen and Charlie for their wedding. I can't wait to build an amazing life with you together and I vow to always be there for you. To love you through the ups and downs. I promise to always encourage you and support you.
