What's up guys, Scuba Max here. So this morning we drove two hours to get to Key Larco so I could
dive the Duane shipwreck. The shipwreck is 327 feet long and it sits at 125 feet deep,
but the top deck is 105 feet deep so that's the deepest that I went. I was really hoping to see
some bull sharks but we did not see any sharks today unfortunately, but we did see some other
massive fish. Lots of life on this wreck and it's just a beautiful wreck in itself.
So now I'm exhausted so it's nap time. Enjoy.
We had to descend down the line because there's a little bit of current.
You can just barely make out the outline of the wreck from up here.
I honestly couldn't believe how big this wreck was. I mean,
I've never seen one that big before. It was insane.
but we took a little peek inside. We found a little green moray eel.
There was so much life on this wreck and huge swoles of fish. It was beautiful.
Americans sure love their flag, even underwater. I wasn't able to capture this on camera,
but the most amazing part of this dive was seeing the silhouettes of massive barracudas
and goliath groupers out into the blue abyss all around the wreck. Here you can see two massive
barracudas back there. All right, at this point we've hit our no decompression limit so it's time
to go up. One last selfie. Again, we ascended holding onto the line so that we wouldn't get
swept away by the current. We had to do our three-minute safety stop while holding onto the
line in the middle of the ocean, which honestly was kind of spooky considering that bull sharks
were known to hang around this wreck. So unfortunately we did not see any bull sharks,
but the wreck itself was absolutely incredible to see. All right guys,
thanks so much for watching, and I will see you next time.
