it's cold
outside but the fire keeps us warm we
can't SP the
night the M of to it's
cold what's up everyone my name is
Jossie I'm an ex sofware engineer in my
20s and this is what life after a 9 and5
in Tech looks like I recognize a privil
I have being my own boss now but despite
that my schedule was all over the place
since I'm spending more time posting
higher quality videos and going all in
on being a tech Creator in New York City
there are some days that I actually find
I have less time than I did back when I
was balancing both a 9-5 and content
creation so I've been using reclaim AI
to manage my calendar and time blocking
more to come from reclaim AI in the
coming weeks as we close out the year
with a full head of steam going into
2025 on this week's agenda I want to be
able to complete all three of my virtual
personal training sessions run 25 km cuz
I joined the December 100 km running
challenge don't ask why I have a couple
car shoots to do for Chevy an apple
intelligence event and that's right
testing out the Mac Mini M4 and swapping
out the M3 Pro MacBook Pro for the week
so let's see how that goes the weather
looks like it's going to be absolutely
trash this week either brick or 50 to
60° with rain we're getting literally
two seasons in one spring and winter
this week but that's the East Coast for
you not going to let that stop us
[Music]
so I started out the day downloading my
most most used apps notion and chrome
before making breakfast as expected I
had no issues downloading and installing
my favorite web browser and productivity
app on the Mac Mini
M4 all right guys so yesterday I was
very much under the weather and
technically Tuesday I wasn't feeling my
greatest but I was feeling good enough
to go out pick up the Mac Mini M4 base
model and get my desk set up situated by
swapping out the MacBook Pro for the Mac
Mini and I've been able to play around
with the Mac Mini the last like I'd say
more like 24 hours not a ton cuz
yesterday I spent a lot more time in
Manhattan than I expected and then I
came back and I was just like way too
tired like you I was cooked so I just
basically fell asleep by like 5:00 p.m.
while simultaneously setting up the Mac
Mini I took the opportunity to get the
apartment in order starting with the
dishes I personally feel like I can't
think straight if the kitchen is a mess
I can deal with somewhat messy living
room but the kitchen and the home office
need to be spotless you know how it goes
when your workspace is clean your mind
is clear I did some general tidying up
straightened out my desk area and made
sure everything was organized for
tomorrow shoot
[Music]
I'm I've been really focused on my
nutrition lately made this absolutely
incredible omelette as my first meal of
the day hitting those macro targets
while actually tasting amazing
[Music]
it's crazy how much better food tastes
when you're actually hungry and cooking
with intention or when you just simply
have proper ingredients like I did today
yeah this omelette definitely smacked
I'm still shaking off being under the
weather especially after yesterday's
Apple event in the city taking it easy
today was definitely the move since I've
got the final car shoot for the Equinox
tomorrow I need to get this draft over
to General Motors but man the forecast
is looking brutal
[Music]
talking nearly freezing temperatures not
exactly ideal conditions but sometimes
you got to embrace a challenge and at
least it's going to be sunny tomorrow
for now though it's all about rest and
Recovery to make sure I'm ready to
battle those temperatures tomorrow now
you guys know I said I had a goal of
running 25 km this week unfortunately
that's looking real slow however today
is all about getting settled with the
creative workflow on the Mac Mini i k
things off by installing all my go-to
productivity and creative apps flow
Adobe Creative Cloud Premiere Pro
Lightroom classic and Photoshop the
installation process was pretty smooth
which was a good first impression given
how resource heavy the Creative Cloud
applications can be and it only took
around 10 minutes or so to download all
four of the Creative Cloud applications
I also enjoyed using Apple intelligence
handsfree with Siri opening up the flow
Pomodoro Timer using voice commands

so there are several noteworthy updates
that the Mac Mini M4 bring to the table
for one it's powered by the M4 chip so
it has a 10 core CPU 10 core GPU for the
base model and up to 14 core CPU and up
to a 20 core GPU for the pro model the
new models boast a significant
performance boost the M4 delivers up to
1.8 8X faster CPU and 2.2x faster GPU
performance compared to the M1 and the
neural engine is over three times faster
it has an improved Ram in storage
starting with 16 gigs of RAM double the
previous base model in the M3 and is
expandable to up to 32 GB on the M4 or
64 GB with the M4 Pro it has a modular
SSD for potential future upgrades and
the new design also includes faster dual
module SSD configurations for improved
read WR speeds and for me what's really
important as a content creator is the
fact that it supports up to 2 6K and 1K
5K displays on the M4 and up to 3 6K
displays the M4 Pro chip in the Mac Mini
now I don't think I would ever have
three 6K displays but nonetheless when
it comes to supporting an external
display it's pretty future proof I'm not
sure it'll be great for gaming but I am
expecting it to perform okay at least
for the base model in terms of scrubbing
through my Premiere Pro timeline
exporting rendering footage playback
speeds which is important for those who
are in the content creator or just
creative space whether it's Premiere Pro
Lightroom or photoshop so if this video
is interesting to you at all give it a
thumbs up because I'm really excited to
see what it's like to build out a few
small or you could say pet projects with
the base Mac Mini M4 all right so I'm
going to step away from the Mac Mini for
a little bit because I actually have to
pick up this car that I've been loaned
from Chevy so shout out to Chevy for
loaning me the Equinox 2025 and we've
been working on a campaign the last week
and I'm really excited and this is the
last day and it's of course the warm
days in New York were Tuesday and
Wednesday and they were the rainiest
days like almost impossible to film and
then today is beautiful and sunny but
it's brick like I think it's I think the
high is 42 which isn't horrible and
we'll be in the car most of the time so
hopefully we'll be toasty enough to
withstand this really cold weather in
New York to film the last day of this
campaign but I'm really excited it the
weather app does say It's windy and I
don't even want to look at it's not
focusing I don't even want to know what
it says of temperature feels like it
feels like 26 so I hope you all are
enjoying this you could say new series
where I'm no longer working in Tech and
this is what my weekend of lives look
like after being a software engineer and
working at 9
to-5 all right good morning guys so
yesterday we had the shoot and it went
really really well I am so excited to
post this video well I'm just excited to
get the draft out to the general Motors
team so just feeling extremely blessed
to be able to film car content living in
New York as someone who doesn't even own
a car um but obviously there's an appeal
to creating car content and working with
creators in New York City and it's
something I want to do more I'm just
trying to figure out like how can I
create more organic car content cuz all
the car content I've pretty much done in
the past has been sponsored content so
I'm just trying to figure that out I did
go to a g event about 2 weeks ago or La
was it last week and it was at Manhattan
car club and I'm not saying I'm going to
get a membership there but I am going to
go to an event sometime in the new year
and hopefully I can Network and just
figure out ways to get my hands on you
know like Porsche Mercedes some of the
more like luxurious cars that have a ton
of like technology or just like
supercars I think it's really fun as a
tech Creator to make those type of
videos I'm on a tangent I'm actually
looking at my calendar to see what I
have today supposed to go to the gym
Monday Wednesday and Thursday and since
I was under the weather I didn't get a
chance to so I'm going to do a leg
workout here shortly but I'm going to
edit this video in cap cut I posted a
Mac Mini like pickup video it's like a
vlog and it did really well on Tik Tok
and I feel like it should do well on IG
but most importantly I just want to get
the video out so what I'm going to do is
I'm going to test what it's like to use
the Mac Mini for video editing and cap
cut it's a lot less intensive
application and I'm just using iPhone
like 4K 24 frames per second footage
last night the Mac Mini did get hot
enough to fry an egg all right I didn't
get that hot but I was editing 4K 10bit
footage so I I have to look at how large
the actual Premiere profile was it did
struggle once I started rendering and
exporting footage I think it did a
decent job with exporting after I did my
second render and second export the Mac
Mini started freezing up and lagging and
just moving really slow which is sort of
expected for the base model I don't
expect it to be able to scrub render and
Export footage as well as the M3 Pro
chip considering this is just the M4
chip like I mentioned earlier I really
do want to put it through its I really
do want to put the Mac Mini M4 through
its Paces with a coding like software
development setup I don't want to do
that for this video because I think that
should be its own video which is why I'm
focused on the more creative and like
logistical administrative tasks so like
using notion housing Through Safari
installing productivity applications and
doing light video editing
[Music]
[Music]
so the Mac Mini had zero issues handling
a 20 second short form video and cap cut
I was able to easily stabilize camera
footage in seconds and even export a 23
second video and cap cut with no lag
[Music]
[Music]
that's
[Music]
all right guys so since we got the whip
I figured I'd pull up the queens and go
to one of my favorite vintage furniture
stores probably my favorite furniture
store in all of New York called Leen New
York City and yeah it's just pretty far
in Queen so it would just take maybe 40
minutes to take a train and I haven't
came here in a long time it's been like
maybe maybe almost 8 months now maybe
even longer than that actually they
carry a few of my favorite Brands like
man Miller and USM and my favorite thing
about the store is one the location it's
nice to be able to come to Queens cuz
I'm never in a sporl the store is
beautiful it's basically laid out how I
would lay out our home if we had a
massive Loft space and we came and I
came here specifically for the man
Miller canopy like kitchen table it's
not I think the table's perfect outside
the legs are black and we prefer silver
but let's see when we get in the store

so here's my first impression of the
base model M4 Mac Mini if you're looking
for a cost effective machine for
everyday productivity light content
creation portability isn't a priority
and you aren't utilizing media so 256 GB
of storage will suffice then the Mac
Mini can be a fantastic option even
though I do have a hard time accepting
the fact that it's still $600 with only
$200 56 GB of storage if you're planning
to do heavy video editing or intensive
multitasking utilizing more complex and
intensive graphical applications you
might want to consider other options the
value proposition really just depends on
your specific needs I know that over 50%
of you all are not subscribers so please
consider subscribing we're trying to get
to 200k subscribers before the end of
the year and that wraps up today's video
Stay Blessed fam peace
