My Simple Province House Tour In Philippines

my name is Meljin Salon. I'm a content creator from Cebu, Philippines and today I'm going to welcome you guys in my humble abode. If you guys have not followed me, I have built my house during the pandemic and yes this is something positive that happened to me during a pandemic because I was able to build my simple province house and yes we have some roosters here because we are in the countryside. So the location that we are in here guys is just actually 30 minutes drive away from the heart of Cebu city. So technically this area here is still part of Cebu city and sometimes I would call this a province because the vibe is so province-like and yeah we are just pretty much on a countryside. Alright so this is one of the videos that a lot of you guys have requested and looking forward into and yes me myself I am so excited to share this to you guys because you guys have been there to support me all throughout the way and just a disclaimer though this is not my way of bragging in any way shape or form. This is my way of sharing with you guys to inspire people that is wanting to build a simple house or a simple province house. This is a reminder as well that dreams do come true. Without further ado ladies and gentlemen welcome to my simple province house. The first thing by the way guys is the dimension of the house. So the house is actually 20 by 30 feet. So we are going to start in the terrace. Let's go. So actually today I decided to film this house tour and unfortunately it rained that's why it is a bit muddy outside but you know it stopped already now thanks god because now we can already start um you know doing this tour. Anyway so right now we are here in the terrace and this terrace is 8 by 20 feet so yeah this is how it's looking right now and if we are going to go here on this side I decided to put a wooden bamboo sofa set. So this is the one that I got. I mean since we are in the province I think it looks pretty good if I'm going to be using something eco-friendly. So that's why I decided to have a bamboo one and I think it's kind of nice and also here in this area as you guys can see I have here my old Christmas tree since this is white. I just decided to put it here in the meantime this will serve as like a decor and I know in time this is not going to maintain its um color. It's gonna turn um gray or black maybe because I know dust will come in but I'm okay for it to be there because I don't have any storage in this house. This area also serves as the parking area for my bike. So I have here this bike. This is just a pretty small one and this green one over here that is for Scarlett and yeah the motive of this terrace is actually I just got it from Pinterest. You know if you guys are building something Pinterest will for sure be your best friend. So I just saw like some pegs on Pinterest and I showed it to my builder and he was so good to actually try not copy it a bit. So that's why as you guys can see we are using a two by two wood like a fence for the terrace so that is how it's looking. I am quite happy with how it turned out to be honest because it gives you more air that comes here in the terrace and actually I tried to make the terrace with the wall like the hardy flex wall around it but later on I realized that it's best to just have it like this like a fence type because it will be more refreshing. Yeah anyway the tiles as well. I know some of you guys like the tiles. The tiles is kind of nice. It's actually rough because we are here in the terrace. It's good to have a rough tile so that no one will slip and as such. Alright so now we are going to move on to the living area. Let's go! Hello everyone! So this is the main house and welcome to my living area. So this living area is pretty okay. The size is just okay since I'm the only one living here. This is my house. So alright we are going to start here. If you enter on the left side, this is where you can see my entertainment section. My humble entertainment section. So I have here a flat screen tv and though this is not a smart tv but I was able to find a way. I got a Roku that will turn not a smart tv into a smart tv. So if you guys would like you can get a Roku. You can purchase it online. So yeah this is not a smart tv. So this is where everyone is watching movies. Netflix. We love watching movies guys and also if you are a Filipino, if you have been in the Philippines, we love doing video. Okay so as you guys can see here, I have here a micro component system. So this will serve as like our video. Okay and we have here some big stereo as well. This is pretty common if you are living in the countryside especially. So yeah I got two and yeah that's pretty much it. All we have to do is just to put the microphone here and then yeah everyone's singing already. That's um pretty normal. And also guys here above the entertainment section, I have here my gallery-ish wall. So I decided to get these. I think it looks pretty cool. It will actually light up but I did not get battery for them. So it will just remain like that. So I have here Paris, New York and London. And to share it with you guys, these are the cities that I would love to visit. I put it there so that this will give me a motivation to work hard so that I could go there and visit these places. So yeah this is going to be my motivation, my reminder and yeah I love those cities. So that's good. Alright next we are here on the right side of the living area. So this is the couch. For me this couch is very comfortable. I mean this is where everyone's lounging, like sitting and such. So if I do have visitors as well, this is where they are going to sit. So yeah if you guys want to visit me here, you can do so. Because apparently you guys are the reason why I was able to achieve something like this and I'm so grateful. Anyway so yeah this couch is like four or five seater couch and this is just okay since I came from a small family and we got this like really big throw pillow. And by the way for the color, I decided to get brown because it's pretty neutral. You know I don't want it to like very colorful because like the surroundings here in the countryside is already very colorful. So I just want something neutral so that's why it's brown. And also you cannot see the dust when it gets dirty. So that's the trick. Alright so that's pretty much it for the living area guys. It's pretty small but a bit cozy and I'm quite happy with it. So as you guys can see on this side over here, this is where I have Papa Jesus, Mama Mary, I have some candles as well. I decided to put some angel and then this is Señor Santo Nino which is our patron here in the countryside. And I also decided to put a cloth here which is yellow. And yeah I decided to put some shelves here to hold like um the thing. So now we are going to our kitchen area guys. Honestly this is my favorite spot of this house because this is where we eat and this is where I can also cook whatever food that I wanted. And you guys know I'm such a frustrated cook. I love to cook. So first we are here in my dining table. Now this the dining table is only for Cedar. I did not purchase a new one because I got this dining table way way back and this has a sentimental value for me because I think I got it from my first ever salary while working in a BPO company. And I am quite happy you know that until now it is still up and popping. So yeah I decided to use it here in my Simpho Province house. It's black as well so it goes with you know the white paint that we have here in the house. Okay so now we are here in the counter area, the countertop. So this is where I cook. Obviously first we have here some rice cooker. If you are in the Philippines we um love rice cooker guys because we are a rice muncher. And also I have here my kettle because I love some tea. Yeah this area here I really wanted for it to be like empty because you know if you're cooking I just want to have a lot of space so that like I can really prepare all the ingredients that I want. And as such here I decided to have some cabinets. This is gonna be where like all of the plates that I got. It's quite messy still now so we're not gonna open it. So I have here all the cabinets, some of the condiments that I got as well, some of the groceries are all stored in this area. So happy with that as well. It looks clean now because of the cabinet to be honest. It does make a lot of difference. I was actually thinking before to not have cabinets and just like have shelves with it. But I think having cabinets is really good because you know it just makes everything so organized. So as you guys can see here in the countertop area I decided to put some shelves. This peg I also got it from Pinterest and yeah I just decided to put some mugs in here. This Her Royal Highness, His Royal Highness. And then in that side I decided to put some tea cups because I love tea. Here on the side I also got some wine glass and I got some flowers, fake ones because it's easier to maintain. And obviously at the top you guys can see some of my collectibles from my travels. So I got their Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. I really wanted to get more though I was not able to get when I was traveling some of the countries that I have been. But yeah I just really love collecting something from all over the countries that I have been. I think it's a really good souvenir to have. So yeah this is like a console cabinet that I decided to put here in the kitchen area because you know this will just serve actually as like a storage as well. And this is where I also decided to put my oven. So I have here an electric oven though I have not really used this. I love to bake banana cake but I know a lot of you guys also commented and suggested to do that. But you know in the next few days I am going to do that and of course I'm going to be sharing that to you guys as well. And on this side it was actually an empty wall here and I think it was missing something. So I decided to get two mirrors. I know some of you might be might ask why is it two mirrors but if I'm just going to put one mirror I felt like it's not enough. So I decided to get two. It's got this gold detail on the side and I think it looks pretty cool. And some said that in your dining table you should have like a mirror in front of it or something. I think it's a Chinese thing. I'm not quite sure. Let me know in the comments below. So yeah that's a really good thing. So now on this side you guys we have here my fridge. This is an old fridge of mine. I got this like way way back when I was still working in the city. So yeah it's very cute though I'm the only one living here obviously. So I got just the old fridge that I have. It still works so that's why I got it. And I just got some of the groceries that I got in here. We are gonna go to my toilet. So it's this one over here. Actually I'm quite happy with the size of the toilet because it is quite big and spacious. So this is how it's looking right now and the wall. I love the tiles of the wall because it's a combination of pink and white and I think it looks pretty cool. And here I have my washing machine. Yes I don't do hand wash anymore. I decided to get a washing machine so that it will be a lot easier for me. By the way I did not buy any ventilation. I got two windows in here so that if you go number two you'll just have to really open that and then fresh air will come in. Alright guys so I am so excited to welcome you to my humble room. This is my bedroom. So let's go ahead and get inside. Okay so this bedroom is actually quite spacious than I imagined it to be. When it was being finished we were like oh my gosh this room is actually really big and I was not really expecting it. But I'm quite happy with it. I can like literally have like a lot of people sleep over here in this room because this house is just one bedroom. So if my friends came here I have some spare foam, some sleeping mats so that they could sleep over at night. Anyway here on the side this is like my office table. So this is pretty much where I edit videos, answer emails, or stuff like that. I decided to put our family album here. So um yeah it's got my mom and sister Scarlett of course. This is where you can also see my wi-fi. Working online I really need some wi-fi and I'm quite happy with the connection that I got here. It's not slow and to be honest it is much more faster than in the city. So quite happy with that. It's got here like pull out cabinets. So I got like some of my charger and stuff like that. This is my chair. So this one is really comfy like um you know this is me trying to edit some videos. So this is where I try to store my laptop that has been with me for five years now. Thank you so much for not giving up on me. So yeah I just like do my editing here and stuff like that. This table is quite small to be honest. I was wanting to have a bigger one so that I could like put a lot more stuff but you know it's just quite okay. That's why I actually decided to put some shelves at the top here. So we'll start from the top. As you guys can see I have there my award. I think this was 2019. It is vlogger of the year. This is awarded to me by Megger World. So thank you so much. This is from Best Sibu Vlogs Awards 2019. I'm quite happy. I was also so shocked to be able to be given this award and um yeah quite honored to have it. Over here I just decided to put my favorite bags like the everyday bags that I would usually use. Next one here I decided to put some big plants. It's color green and it does really complement the white wall that we have as well. And yeah this another bag that I love as well. And then um yeah this one is supposed to be like a vase where I can put some dried plant flowers but I was not able to get one so it's still empty for now. And by the way I have here this really cute and um comfy rug or a fur rug. I got this when I went to Australia. I think this is the only remembrance or souvenir that I got from Australia. And yeah this is really cute. And yeah so here guys I have here my window. So during the morning this is the view that I wake up to. It's all green like a lot of trees outside and if it's raining then I can't really see like the rain and such. The sun also is rising here so when the sun comes in here it does wake me up. It is really a good feeling. Sometimes then I open it but most of the time I just really close it. And then we are gonna go here. And my um favorite spot this is my bed. This is where the magic happens. I'm just kidding. So this is my bed. This is a queen size bed and I'm happy with the size because I can literally like roll over. Because it is really quite big for me for such a small woman. Throw pillows over here. This one is my favorite. It says dreaming. Yes keep on dreaming. Don't stop believing guys. This is like a reminder for me to keep on dreaming you know and try to work hard for you to achieve it. This is another throw pillow here. This is like yellow. It's my favorite color. This is my baby that I cuddle with every night. Her name is baby Ellie and she's so cute. And yeah she's there all the time. She's with me every night. And here on this side I decided to put a rug. Yeah this one is really cute. I got this online as well and it does make a lot of difference. It just makes the bedroom more cozy. Here I only have one bedside table. Obviously there it's already a wall. So this bedside table is really cute. It just got like you know some of my personal stuff in there. Also here I got this lamp. This is actually touchscreen but I think it died on me. Look it's not turning on anymore. I need to change the battery but I like this one because it is battery and you can also use electric for this to turn on. I'm quite happy with my bedroom guys because it is really huge. And then we are going to move in here on the side. This is my closet. This is just a plastic cabinet that I got in the city. Well hold on. I'm gonna see first if it's really messy. But yeah I decided to like put here some of my sweaters, my jackets, and all that kind of stuff. And then some there are like just my clothes and everything. So I actually quite like this one because it doesn't really look plastic. You know what I mean? At the I decided to put all my bags. So those are my bags guys that I have accumulated so far. I'm a bag girl more than like a shoes girl. Like some ladies would want to collect shoes or bags but for me I love collecting bags. But I'm not really the one collecting like really luxury bags and such okay. Those are just like mediocre. But I love them because they're good. It serves purpose and I'm quite happy. Alright guys so we are here on the outside so that you guys can see an outside view of the house. So that's how it's looking right now. And as you guys can see from the roof to the ground. It is color white because yes this is a simple province house. This is a white house of Melton Salon here in the countryside. And yes I want to thank you guys all so much for supporting me all throughout the way. I cannot thank you guys enough. Actually because of you I was able to build a simple province house here in the countryside.
