Today we're introducing a fantastic supplement for your plants.
Whether it's peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers or others.
It's likely something you dispose of daily without realizing its potential.
To ensure your plants thrive, the soil often needs an extra boost of nutrients,
typically through compost or manure before planting.
But don't worry if you don't have manure on hand.
We have a simple and effective solution that works wonders.
Plants, in particular tomatoes, require potassium as they grow and ripen.
And that's where our secret ingredient comes in.
In addition to potassium, plants also need nitrogen and phosphorus.
Nitrogen promotes healthy leaf growth,
while phosphorus is essential for robust root development.
Potassium, meanwhile, regulates water and nutrient absorption within the plant.
Today we'll be using banana peels to provide that much-needed boost.
We'll chop them into smaller pieces to improve nutrient absorption.
Ideally, use organic bananas, but if not, make sure to wash them thoroughly.
Banana peels are packed with potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus.
Perfect for nourishing your plants.
They also contain magnesium, which helps tomatoes absorb more sunlight for photosynthesis.
Here's how to do it.
Chop up the banana peels and place them in a container.
We're using a five-gallon bucket.
Then fill it with warm water.
Let it sit for two to three days.
The longer it sits, the richer the nutrient mixture becomes.
Afterward, strain out the peel.
Now you have a nutrient-rich tea for your plants.
Dilute it with water according to the needs of your plants.
You can use it before planting or for established plants.
Give them a good soak once or twice a month.
Bonus tip.
You can also use this solution as a foliar spray.
Strain it through cheesecloth and mist your plants once or twice a month for an additional boost.
