2025 Nissan Rogue Platinum AWD Walk Around and Review NEW PRO PILOT ASSIST!

welcome to another episode of cars unlocked my name is Christopher today we are here with the 2025 Nissan Rogue Platinum I'm going to show you everything what that's new for 2025 to help you decide if this is the right vehicle for you so as most of you probably already know the Nissan Rogue is Nissan's bestselling vehicle in North America now this is the top model model so it certainly has every feature that Nissan can offer being the Top Model this one has a Canadian MSRP of 48 385 looking at the exterior you can see this one being the Platinum package it comes with this Bolder gray exterior color it's really a flat gray the front end for 2025 Nissan didn't really change anything with the Cosmetics there's a lot of new features inside that we're going to show you when we take it for a drive but checking out the front end here they went with the same style as last year's model it saw a refresh in 2024 so they've kept it relatively the same however our headlights are going to be full LED headlights we do have this chrome Nissan v motion Grill here and then we have forward parking sensors as well and then here is our sensors for our forward emergency breake and things like that when we look at the windshield we have rain sensing wipers you have the camera there that's for things like your intelligent cruise control and your radar and we're going to show you all that when we take it for a drive the side profile this one comes with the two-tone aluminum alloy 19in rims it's sitting on Bridgestone all season tires you have vented disc brakes in the front and the back so a lot of features to love with the Platinum model one of my favorite things is the two tone color combinations so you can see this one has the black two-tone option you can choose your different colors but you get your black out mirror caps your roof and on the mirrors there is a camera here that's for your Nissan around view Monitor and then some of the top packages from the sln up come with this chrome side sill here right on the doors for all those curious about the key this is it you have features like a remote starter great for the winter time you can start it up get the car nice and warm before you get in or if you live in a hot environment you can cool it down now I've started the car already and if I want to lock or unlock the car there's a button right on the door here so I just need to approach the car with the keys in the proximity push the button and then it's going to open up and let's check out the inside of this baby you can see this one being the Platinum model it comes with this full semi- inline leather with the diamond stitching seat so all the other ones don't come with this diamond seat it is a 10-way power adjustable driver's seat and it is heated in the front and you have two memory positions as well to save your seat settings and they'll actually sync with your key fob so that right when it recognizes your key fob it will revert to these settings in terms of the power plan this one comes with that 1 5 3 cylinder turbocharged engine it's going to give you 21 horsepower now it does include the Nissan CDT transmission I've heard from you guys in the comments everything you have to say about the CVT Nissan has said that they've fixed the issues with the CVT and they reinforce the CVT so they're not going to have the mechanical frustrations that the previous generations had but only time will tell the advantage of having the turbo the smaller Engine with the turbo you get more horsepower for better fuel economy it's 7.6 L per 100 km combined this one being the Platinum you get all of the full Nissan safety Suite of features so in front of me is the heads up display that that's going to show your digital speedometer you have the blind spot monitor so when someone's in your blind spot it's going to notify you you can when you deviate from the lane the wheel will vibrate just letting you know that you're deviating from the lane and you have the propilot assist um 2.1 so on the business end of things here you can see the steering wheel it's a leather wrapped steering wheel very similar to the last year's model it is a little more Square we have our radio controls right on the wheel and then our propilot assist and our Bluetooth controls right on the wheel now behind the wheel what you get in the Platinum model is this SL 12.3 in touchscreen here so this is Nissan's Advanced Drive Assist display you can do things um like it has your digital tachometer you can see your drive computer there's a whole different list of features that you can do the wheel is an electronic shifter knob here so a little different shifter knob it's a square shifter knob they had that in the previous models but I do like the shifter knob to be honest once you get the hang of it it's really easy I'm charging my phone right now in the wireless charging pad which is right in the center stack here but there is USBS and this is what we want to talk about right here they have this massive 12.3 in screen there's so many cool things you can do with this starting with wireless Android auto Wireless Apple carplay and it has the Google built in so you don't even need the Android auto you can see here it's already connected to my Google Maps we just got to turn everything on here and it's going to be connected there so very cool what you can do you can do navigations you can ask it different questions for example I can say something like hey Google subscribe to cars unlocked sorry I didn't understand maybe I'm not famous enough yet so you got to hit that like button and give this video a thumbs up so that we can get there but more realistic you would say something like hey Google take me to Starbucks and there it's going to show the closest Starbucks and I can select it there very easy to use with the Google built in it also has Alexa built in if you are not a Google person you can use the Amazon Alexa and then we have our serus satellite radio it's going to come with amfm Bluetooth audio streaming and Sirius XM this specific one comes with the upgraded sound system that's what you get with the Platinum it doesn't sound too bad coming out of the Bose it's actually a really high high quality sound system so for 2025 Nissan has upgraded the propilot assist it's now called the Nissan propilot 2.1 so if you have a 2025 vehicle or newer Nissan or Infiniti you should have this propilot feature so basically it's a semi-autonomous driving and we are going to show you how it works so pretty much all I have to do is jump on the Highway get at the speed I want activate it with my propilot assist button right on the wheel here hit set and now it's going to lock me in the lane and I can see on my heads up display that I'm locked in the lane and we're going through a turn now I can take my hands off the wheel and it's really going to make this turn for me so now a truck has just passed me in my blind spot and look like I've been driving handsfree for uh this whole time I've pretty much been talking to you so you really have to trust the system but this is a great feature on the highway it's going to watch your eyes it has a sensor right behind the wheel here and it's watching my eyes making sure that I'm centered now here it shows that traffic is merging so I'm going to do a lane change for you guys here cuz that's one feature they added it will help you make the lane change so I just need to click my lane change button and I'm going to put my signal on it's telling me to check traffic there's a car coming and now I'm good and it's going to help me change the lanes look at that it's pretty much completing the lane change for me handsfree now it's back synced in and we are ready to relax again so there's a quick demo of Nissan's new Pro pilot so this is where your family's going to go now before I get in I want to show you this it does have this little side curtain here on the Windows just to help protect you from the UV rays you know in the summer keep the vehicle cool but that diamond stitching continues in the back and you can see it's kind of a little higher seat than the driver's seat um just I can kind of see out the FR still these back seat seats are going to be heated there is a USB here to charge and I can control the heat coming out of the rear vents here just with the buttons there we're going to do a little acceleration test it says 7.8 seconds for a 0 to 60 we're in sport mode Let's go and we're going by kilometers and that's 100 so hopefully we can put a timer up on the video for you guys but the turbo actually accelerates like very smooth um you can hear it growling you could probably hear it through our microphone it does have a little CVT growl to it especially when it's cold that's one thing I noticed now checking out the rear there's a few things that you can see on the rear what I really like is the gray badging they went off from the Chrome badging here so we have our Rogue stamping and our Platinum all-wheel drive stamping in Gray and you have rear parking sensors as well as a backup camera that's going to assist you in parking this Platinum also comes with the foot activated lift gate so you just got to wave your foot under there and here you can see the trunk it has 36 cubic feet of cargo capacity you have the tunnel cover included you also have the levers to fold the seats down and there you can see it's pretty much a flat storage surface Nissan's divide and hide storage now a lot of you commented on my Nissan kicks video that they went away with the spare tire the Rogue 2025 is still going to come with a spare tire in case you're in a pinch so there you have it Squad let me know what you think of the 2025 Nissan
