He became an overnight sensation as the winner of season 13 of America's Got Talent when he wowed the judges with and the fans obviously with his incredible card trick. It scored him a million dollar grand prize and a Vegas residency and now Shin Lim is here today with a sleight of hand routine to amaze us. Can you just believe your life? I mean I know that you liked doing magic when you were a kid. Yeah. But how did you go from that to this? I mean it's still it's still fun. It's still like a hobby to me. I don't really consider a job at all. Oh really? Yeah. Do you just feel like you're living your dream? Living what you've always wanted to do? People somehow just come and watch. I don't know why. Well I know you got a trick for us. Do you want to show us? Yeah yeah absolutely. So instead of doing like just a regular card tricks or something I've done before I just I wanted to make this a little bit more personal. Actually I want to make this performance about you guys. Wow. Nothing about me. Okay. I have this deck of cards. It's actually just it's a bunch of names. It's just random names. I don't want to go through all of them because it'll just kind of give away the ending. So yeah. Hold on. Just pick one name. Just take one. Don't look at it. Don't look at it. Place it. Place it face down over there. And same Jenna. One. Okay. And place it face down over there. Now place one hand above those cards just so I later on. Yep. Yeah like on the card. You don't need it. Exactly. That's good. All right. I'm gonna ripple down like this. Hold on. You just say stop anytime. Stop. Right there. Okay. You can take a look at the card. It really doesn't it doesn't matter if I see it. But it's not about the value of the card. Okay. I just want your name on it. It's really big. Can you write Hoda right. Really big on the name. Yeah. Can I use my other hand. Oh sure. Sure. Yeah yeah. Amazing. So now we have a Hoda card which is the four of spades. And we'll take the next card over the six of diamonds. And then Jenna you're gonna. Okay. Okay cool. So we have a Jenna and then we have a Hoda card. Yes. All right. Very good. Tell you what Jenna. Can you hold my hand out like this. Pinch the card like this. Very good. Pinch it. Stay still. Watch. I have Jenna's card. If I shake one two three. See now I have Hoda and then you have Jenna. Right. But you've seen this before. So yeah yeah. You've seen it before. I've never seen it. But like I said I wanted to make it about you though. Yeah. And you too. And you too. So so tell you what. Just imagine imagine these cards as you guys. Just representing you people. Okay. And just imagine I'm now splitting. Splitting the both of you apart. Completely. I know quite gruesome. Yeah. Magicians are quite weird people. But look so we have we have uh we have Hoda and we have Jenna. Yes. Uh tell you what Jenna we I'm just gonna put you in my pocket right now. Hoda we're gonna focus on you. Okay. You've been on the Today Show for quite a while. Yeah. And through all all of the changes like that that's happened I feel like you've been really strong throughout everything. And and even through all the stress and all the hard times. You've always managed to somehow pull everything together. And Jenna the same with you. You're strong too. But you see the two of you together. You see you guys make quite you guys make quite the dynamic team. That is so sweet. But how did you do that? Yeah. Did you glue? No no no. It's it's not. It's it's not glue or anything. No no no. Tell you what. It's. Okay. Maybe it was fate though that both of you guys were together. Not really. No no no. It really was. It really. I think so too. In 2019 both of you guys had new additions. Yeah. To your family. Yeah. Yeah. Hoda your baby. First first name. The first letter. It starts with an H. Coincidentally. Yes. Your baby. Did you know that? First name. H. His name is Hal. Okay. What's your baby's name? Hope. Hope. And you picked any card and somehow that card called to you. Yeah. Flip that over. Are you kidding? Flip it over. Oh. And Jenna. Your baby. His Henry though is his name. But he has another nickname. He goes by Hal. Yeah. You also felt that card called to you. I got chills. Wait. How? No no no. Well I mean how? Um well no no. It's it's these cards obviously mean a lot to you guys. Yeah. Yeah. So tell you what. I'll I'll first thing first things first. I'm gonna make them vanish. Okay. So I'll make them vanish. We'll take them back. And reappear right underneath. Go ahead. Flip it over. Go ahead. Flip it over. Hal. Hope. And that is a single card. It's not it's not glue. You can check it. It's not glue or anything like that. It's one single card with all three names. It is a single card. Do you have glue fingers? You can check. You can check my hands. I mean it's 60 dollars. All right. Thank you so much. I'm gonna hang this up. You can catch Shin Lim live at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. And guess what? He's performing No Big Deal at the Beacon Theater here in New York this Sunday. That was amazing. Check it out.
