Hello, hello, hello! Welcome back to Exotic Wine Travel. I'm your host,
Matthew Horky. So we're in the Vypava Valley in western Slovenia, and traditionally this
was the corridor from Central Europe into Eastern Europe. Long history of producing wines here.
We're with a producer that's absolutely blown our tops off. We've heard about him before.
Can you see that? This is his Zaria. This is actually 2007. His current vintage is 2015.
Zaria is based on Pinela. That's the most of the blend. Pinela is an indigenous variety
here in Vypava. Also, Zelen is an indigenous variety here. Rebula grows here. Malvasia,
and also some Chardonnay, some Pinot Gris. Fantastic wine. For a macerated amber wine,
bright, easy to drink, has a little bit of tans, but not too much. So I'm really impressed.
Their entire portfolio was spectacular. And look where you have the mountains,
everything. Vypava, spectacular place. Anything you want to add?
All the wines are excellent because we have a very clear theme. I think all the aroma has
this undertone. On a positive way, it must be. Yeah, yeah. So come check them out if you're
here. Guys, if you like, like I said, we're going to be spending a week in western Slovenia,
Gardiška Borda, Vypava, and Kras. We'll be tasting the wines. We'll be writing some articles,
shooting some videos. So guys, if you like this video, please subscribe to our YouTube channel,
Exotic Wine Travel. I will see you in the next episode.
