Beaten At Old Trafford | Man Utd 2-3 Nott'm Forest

All of our thoughts and best wishes go to Kath's family, because wow, what an incredible servant to this football club. But also, more importantly, what an incredible ambassador for this football club to any person that set foot through those doors. They got to see Kath's smiling face, dealing with fan mail, you know, all of the stuff that she used to do, that unsung hero stuff. Look, a sad, sad loss, but absolutely wonderful that we all sort of got to know her in our own tiny little way. Fantastic lady, really, really is. And now we are going to see Bruno Fernandes, the Manchester United captain, unfurl a flag dedicated to Kath Phipps. And as they unfurl that banner, it says, Thank You, Kath. United legend on a United tricolour, red, white and blue. And everybody around Old Trafford rises to their feet and applauds. An incredible servant, an incredible woman. Here's the corner, whipped in from the right-hand side, heads go up, oh, it's in. Not a good forest of taking the lead. Milenkovic nods home. On the transition, Bruno Fernandes, edge of the penalty area, gets it across to Garnaccio. Hoyland! Can't get there. Oh, did he miss it? Comes all the way back out to Amman, on the right-hand side, I thought it was just going to be a tap-in. That's a lovely ball infield by Bruno Fernandes, United charging forward again. Agaté slides this through brilliantly, chance here for Alejandro Garnaccio. Finished off by Rasmus Hoyland, Manchester United are level, what a brilliant ball through the middle. Bruno Fernandes, Agaté, Garnaccio, Hoyland, 1-1. Bruno Fernandes standing over this one. Up he steps, does have a shot, a goal, it's at the crossbar. Bruno Fernandes rattles the roof with work, and somehow it's spirited away. Well, that's flicked round the corner, looking for Lenny Yoro, who's over on the ball, and now all of a sudden it's not a good forest, coming the other way, drill towards goal, oh, it's gone in. Has that taken a deflection on the way through? It's completely wrong-footed, Andre Anand, regardless of what's happened. And just like the first half, it's Forrest that strike first in the second. Morgan Gibbs-White, going to put another cross in towards the back post, Chris Wood, real chance. Oh, it's gone in, and Manchester United are behind by three goals to one. The birthday boy, Chris Wood. Amman charging towards the penalty area, has options in the middle. Amman's going to check back onto his left foot, brings the ball in, pokes it across to Bruno Fernandes! Yeah! Oh, it's 3-2, and a one-pick finish from Manchester United's captain! But it's Amman again, that creates the opportunity, a finish of supreme class. Here comes Rashford's delivery, drill towards the back post, Martinez! Oh, it's just over the bar, what an effort that is from Lissandro Martinez. He's just got underneath it, and it rakes over the crossbar. Full-time whistle goes, Manchester United have not managed to beat Nottingham Forest. The joyful cheers of the away support to our right-hand side, a 3-2 win for them, and it was ten minutes just after the second half got underway, where Manchester United had all of the damage done unto them. A goal back from Bruno Fernandes gave them a lifeline in the second half, but they could not convert that lifeline to any points. Full-time, Manchester United 2-0 Nottingham Forest.
