Storyline:
As chapter six of The Shadow of the Eagle reveals, Jean and her father, Nathan Gregory, suffer a blown tire but are otherwise unharmed. They manage to escape Moore and Boyle but a return to the carnival is ruined when Craig McCoy finds himself framed in yet another skywriting incident. Apparently believing him to be guilty, Jean demands that the carnival performers wreak a terrible vengeance by beating a confession out of the young man.
