Hey, this is Mike.
Thank you so much for choosing this video.
Today I'm in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina visiting East Coast Volkswagen and I'm checking
out a 2025 Volkswagen ID Buzz in the Pro S trim level.
The name of this color is Metro Silver Metallic and it looks pretty cool.
This is just a single tone, like there's not a two-tone color in this particular example.
But yeah, it even looks good.
All the ones I've seen like pictures and stuff has had the two-tone.
So having a solid color here is pretty cool.
And the color on this vehicle is going to make a difference as far as the way it looks.
It's unlike other vehicles where a lot of them have very bright colors.
This one has bright colors and two-tones and stuff like that.
So here in the front it has this huge Volkswagen emblem that does illuminate when the lights
are on.
And also this light right here connects all the way across the vehicle and the daytime
running lights.
So the headlights are very similar to like the ID.4 and they're a LED projector system.
Looking pretty good.
And it has this style here at the bottom.
It has like this X pattern.
The radar adaptive cruise control is there in the center.
But yeah, looking pretty neat.
It has this real short looking front end giving it that mini bus look.
And it's a fairly large vehicle.
So it's a little bit bigger than what I thought it was going to be.
But when you look at the amount of room you have on the inside, it's crazy how much room
and how well done the interior is.
Now this vehicle has a two-tone black and silver wheel.
Looking pretty cool.
It has that retro style.
Now there's a 20 inch wheel with 235 50s here in the front and 265 45s here in the back.
So it's a little bit different size tire here in the back.
So looking at the profile, it has a significant length here.
And really, it does a good job as far as handling.
That long wheelbase, it handles well just driving it here in the parking lot so far.
I'm going to try to drive it on the road and stuff.
But it feels really good, very zippy.
And so yeah, it has a completely different look than a lot of minivan type vehicles.
Check out this dashboard.
You see this window here on the side.
And then the pillars, it actually has two pillars.
So you have an A pillar and then you have a B pillar here.
And then there's C, and it just continues on back there.
But there's actually two pillars right here.
And this fairly significant dashboard just uses the regular Volkswagen key, which is
pretty good.
It's all gloss black and has the lock unlock.
The ability to open up the sides of the vehicle, like most minivans, the power sliding doors,
the liftgate.
So yeah, it's pretty interesting.
But yeah, it doesn't have like a special key for this particular vehicle.
It's a special vehicle.
I wish they had some kind of difference here, some kind of, you know, uniqueness to the
key fob.
It still looks good though.
And it's the type of proximity system where it has a little sensor right here to lock
the doors.
So you put your finger over this to lock it or your hand or whatever, it senses your hand.
To unlock it, you simply put your hand behind the handle, it has a sensor here.
So as long as the key's on the outside of the door, it'll unlock.
Doors, they cover most of the threshold area, but not completely covering the whole area.
Which keeps that whole threshold area, which it has a pretty, pretty wide threshold and
even a step right here.
So just continues on there.
Inside of the passenger door, it has this brown and then black here and has different
textures here.
Now this is hard touch surfaces here.
All this is hard touch, hard touch.
This is kind of like a vinyl type material right here, right where your arm goes.
Almost everything is a hard touch.
Now this is a handle and then there's the handle to open up the door, power window,
door lock.
It has a USB port here, USB-C. I like this little shelf right here, it has a rubberized
floor that continues in here quite a ways as well.
So yeah, you can put an umbrella or whatever.
Then you have the larger pocket there at the bottom, kind of has this little stepped part.
Two speakers in the door as well.
Power seat here on the passenger side has two-way lumbar adjustment, two presets.
Also even in this low trim, it has a massage function as well, so pretty interesting.
Now it has a cloth here on the side and then you have the simulated leather here, which
feels really good.
Very comfortable seats.
They also have a thigh extension as well, extends out.
These are heated seats, looking nice.
It has the ID badging there, kind of integrated into the perforations.
And check out the legroom.
It's a completely flat floor basically here in the front.
Tons of room.
There's very little, little tiny bit of tapering right there.
But yeah, it's a lot of room here.
There's some hard touch surfaces here, non-locking glove compartment.
Smooth plastic on the inside, but man look at the size of that, it's a good size glove
compartment.
Another little shelf and has like a rubber floor.
Not super grabby though, so things can slide around.
Love this ash wood, wood grain, simulated wood I suppose, but yeah that looks really
nice.
I'm surprised they don't have any in the door, it would be nice to have that in the door
as well.
And they have that, that kind of non-reflective chrome and then a non-reflective dash here.
And it goes on way down there.
There's also a light that illuminates here when you put it in gear, it's pretty neat.
Now these armrests, I should mention, has this little button at the bottom, so when
you press that you can kind of adjust it right where you want it to go and it'll stay there.
So I thought that was kind of a neat touch.
So this handle, instead of just like pulling out like a lot of other vehicles, it has this
little lever there on the inside.
So instead of pulling out on it, you push in like this and it opens up in the minivan
fashion.
And look at that wide open space there.
So getting in and out, in and out of the vehicle, other than a little bit of a wide threshold,
you know, once you get used to that it's not really a big deal as far as getting in and
out.
I was able to, the first time I got in it was a little bit different, but once I got
in it was fine.
And you know, got in and out a few times.
But yeah, and it has this little ID buzz picture there on the side.
Has the latch system for car seats in all three places.
So this is a seven passenger, so you have the, basically the bench seat back here.
And it folds in a 60-40 split fashion.
And check it out, look at all the legroom here.
Completely flat floor.
I think this is actually better than the Atlas.
It makes the Atlas look kind of small on the inside.
It's amazing.
And then you have the pockets there on the back of both front seats.
You have these smaller pockets as well.
These are pretty cool.
This center console has this little tray that slides out.
You can put some stuff in it, but also it, this center console is removable.
If you want to take this out, you can.
There's a little latch in the front.
You can just take it completely out.
It has this little world diagram there on the side.
It's kind of neat.
Slides in like that.
But yeah, I like the way it's just completely wide open space here.
And it has this kind of retro strap, little hook right there.
The inside of the door here in the back has a USB port, USB-C port there.
Little tray there at the top and the bottom.
Power window switch.
And then there is the heated seats, a three-stage heated seat back here.
Now you can fold these seats down flat.
You can also grab this handle like so, and it moves forward like this.
So it looks like you can probably keep a, like a car seat in place here and flip it
up.
And look at that room.
Like it's amazing how much space you have here.
I mean, this is ridiculous.
This is definitely no problem for an adult back here.
And it has the car seat attachments on both sides, both two seating positions, a little
bit of contour, has some styling back here, cupholders, some lights, lights up there.
But yeah, yeah, this is awesome.
The amount of room you have is crazy.
These seats are removable as well.
These third row seats.
And also I like these floor mats.
They feel good.
They have like a special, I don't know, there's something about them that feel good, look
good.
They look like they'd probably be easy to clean as well.
Now there's a button in here that you can press to close the door.
You can also press this button here like so.
And some of the higher trims have like kicked the side of the, like underneath the vehicle
or under here and it'll automatically open up the door, that kind of stuff.
And this little window will slide back.
I'll show you that in a second.
So it has these little accents.
At first I thought they might be lights, but I don't think so.
I hadn't seen any kind of illumination on them.
It is during the day though.
Here's the charge port and it has a, doesn't appear to have any kind of like light in here,
but it has the regular charge port and then the DC fast charge port.
It has this little spot right here to put this.
This is kind of stretchy, but it has this little spot to hang it like that out of the
way.
That's pretty cool.
Yeah, it feels good.
It has this little handle, kind of sticks out so you can take it out and cover it up.
It has these little, little wee poles in there.
So if there's any kind of water to get us in, it's one of the things about charging
an electric vehicle.
It's not really a big deal.
You can just get during the rain, you can just right here, be pouring rain and you can
plug in.
It's no problem.
They design it to be very safe.
So it has a gloss black shark fin antenna way up there.
And there's a third brake light at the top of the glass there in the spoiler rear wiper.
The taillights are an led system, completely all led and it goes all the way across the
vehicle.
Yeah, there it goes.
Senses the key and it's illuminating right now.
The rear badge does not illuminate on this one, but the front one does.
The backup camera is a little bit offset.
Kind of surprised it's a little bit over here instead of in the middle.
It could have been like integrated in the badge or somewhere a little bit in a higher
position, but that's where they put it.
Parking sensors back here as well as the front.
There's a little bit of an arrow style here.
Even has one parking sensor in the reflector.
That's kind of interesting.
There's one here on the side as well.
Let's take a look in here.
There's a power liftgate.
Under here is a strap.
And there is two lights.
That looks pretty good.
Two over the shoulder type lights.
It also eliminates the ground.
Probably that would be nice.
Got to check this vehicle out at night.
There's some reflective triangles in place.
This strap, it is a power liftgate.
So if you grab that strap, I guess that's a way of pulling it down without using the
power system.
So there's a single light here on this side.
Not one on the other side.
All right, so over here there is...
That's nothing on this one.
This is the tire inflator kit.
This is kind of neat.
This little thing pops off like that and it has velcro on it.
And basically what you could do is you can kind of like fold it like that.
Let's say you had a box in here you didn't want to slide around.
Then you can kind of put it like that and it kind of sticks in place and keeps things
from sliding around as much.
There's another one on this side.
So you can get the other side of the box or the other corner and, you know, have some
level of keeping things from sliding around.
Nice little touch.
And they integrate nicely as well.
There's a 12-volt power supply.
There's a little bag holder on this side.
This opens up.
This is just like access to wiring and stuff.
Change whatever happens to be in there.
Nothing that you can actually use really.
And it looks like there's a place for a pool shade to go in here.
Okay, so these seats, man, they're huge.
So let's go ahead and fold them down.
So yeah, you can fold them down in place.
You can also pull the strap and release them and carry them like a little suitcase and
put them in your garage or whatever if you need extra cargo space and not the passenger
space.
I mean, you can actually take one out, leave the other if you need to do that.
But yeah, that second row also fold down flat.
Now, you notice that this level is much higher than this level.
From what I understand, they have a little shelf in here to lift this end up, this back
end up.
So that way you can put like a large, huge box or whatever back here.
Let's say you got like a, you know, 60-inch TV or something and you want to lay it flat.
Well, you can fold those seats down and just kind of slide it in there.
That kind of thing.
There's also, you couldn't really see from the other direction.
Let me show you on this side.
Right here is a USB-C port in this little compartment for the third row passengers.
There's also this little thing right here.
You can probably stand up a tablet or something in there.
But yeah, this is all like hard-touch surfaces.
So whatever you put in there is going to slide around.
Then it has a single button here for lowering the power lift gate.
It doesn't beep at you.
That's nice.
There's the floorboard in front of the driver's seat.
And I like the way they put the play and pause button on the accelerator and brake pedal.
Pretty cool.
It has like a raised rubber sporty pedal with brushed aluminum background there.
Pretty good size.
Really good size footrest.
Let's take a look under the hood or whatever you want to call it.
Let's see what it looks like.
Okay, so it basically pops open backwards this way.
You just pull it out like so.
It has a strap to hold it in place.
So there's no storage or anything in here.
Really, the only reason why you would want to get in this compartment
is to fill the windshield washer fluid.
Other than that, you just want to leave it alone.
Yeah, it's kind of neat.
But you know, everybody's going to ask, what's under the hood?
You know, so you can pop it open and say, that's what's under the hood.
So the inside of the driver's door is just like the other side,
except for it has a few more buttons.
So there's the power window switches.
You can change these.
There's only two, right?
So it's one touch up and down for the front glass.
But if you press this button, the rear, then you can roll down.
You can slide these back.
These will slide back.
If you're not sitting in the driver's seat and the key in the vehicle, everything turns off.
So it's hard to like turn everything on to show you everything.
So I'll show you that in a second, what it looks like.
And then you have power side mirrors.
We also have heated side mirrors, child safety locks,
and then you can adjust the side mirrors with that little joystick there.
And basically, the driver's seat, as far as the controls, is just like the passenger.
So it has the massage and everything.
Now, the headlight switch is basically like the ID.4, where you press this button,
you can put on automatic or on.
You also have the like a kind of like a fog light type thing.
I show that in the other videos of Volkswagen's where it's the same basic principle,
where it's kind of like a fog light, but it's not at the bottom.
It's integrated within the headlights.
There's a little rubberized little storage compartment there.
It does have a tilt and telescoping steering column.
So when you get in the vehicle with the key, basically, it just turns on.
Once you put your foot on the brake, it turns everything on.
And let's go ahead and open up that rear glass now that I can.
Just opens up like so.
Slides open and close.
And then the front here, open that up, is a laminated glass.
It does have the blind spot detection system,
the little indicators right here on the inside of the side mirror.
But yeah, pretty cool.
And the seating position is pretty neat.
See how far back it goes here.
Yeah, lots of room.
Nothing really to obstruct my legs or anything.
And yeah, it feels really good.
Now it has this little cup holder.
Now that can lift up out of the way when you're not using it.
Same thing with this.
Get that out of the way.
Like I said, you can press this button right here to take this completely out if you want to.
But yeah, this is handy.
It has these little dividers.
You can move forward and back.
It's kind of neat.
This area right here, it might be able to put a bag or something there.
It's big enough anyway.
So visibility, I thought it might be an issue, but it doesn't seem like it.
It's not really much of a...
Like it has these pillars here.
But it has two pillars, right?
But it has that window in between.
So it's probably...
I've seen worse, you know.
Like I've seen worse with a single pillar.
So this one, having that space there, it's not bad.
Actually, visibility overall here on the front looks pretty good.
Just has a huge dash.
Just got to get used to that.
Steering wheel feels really good, actually.
It kind of has like a little soft rubber texture under the surface texture.
And it has good thickness.
The very surface feels very easy to clean and high quality.
A little bit grippy.
But you're able to slide your hand, no problem.
It has these touch sensitive buttons here.
So you have the volume for the radio here.
Change to the tracks here.
And then you have the cruise control right above it on this side.
So these buttons right here correspond with the screen.
And I like the way the screen is not overly huge or anything.
It's very easy for me to see it and read it.
Because the clarity and the resolution and the distance is fine.
It has the outside temperature, digital speedometer, that kind of stuff.
Road sign information.
Distance to empty.
The status of your battery.
What gear you're in.
And all that stuff.
So yeah, we can just kind of use this button.
Let's go ahead and push the view button.
So it kind of changes the view here.
So you can see if you want those two different views.
Now if you go left to right, you can swipe your hand or you can press.
So let's go ahead and swipe left here.
This little screen right here is not going to show anything while I'm just sitting still.
But as you drive and you put the cruise control on,
it'll show you the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
The lane keep assist system.
All the status of that as you're driving in real time.
All right, let's go ahead and swipe to the right here.
So now we have the trips.
We have route guidance.
So yeah, so we can have those different things here.
And we can go back and change the views here.
So yeah, it's basic information, but it's what you need to see right in front of you.
So that's nice.
Some of the higher trims will have a heads up display, which will add more information.
So this one, you know, it's more on the basic side, but it's still plenty of stuff there.
So it has the windshield wiper controls here on the left side.
So here's the shifter.
And you notice right here is you'll show you what gear you're in.
So right now it's very simple.
You just tilt it forward to go and drive and you see it goes and drive.
Pull it back gently to go in neutral.
So you can see it's in neutral.
Pull it back all the way to go in reverse and then put it in park.
Press this button here.
So it's very simple.
Once you get used to it, it's like a breeze.
So let's go ahead and put it back in reverse because a couple things will happen.
The parking sensors and the backup camera will be activated here and you'll be able
to see it here on the screen.
And you have different views here.
So you have that view and then that view.
You also have the park assist feature as well that you can access.
And also active guidelines.
So as I turn the steering wheel, you can see the lines move to give you an estimated trajectory
as you're backing up.
Now there's a little light that shines right here on the dash.
So let me go ahead and put it in and drive.
Let me see that light.
I don't know if you can tell that light illuminates briefly when you put it in drive.
So it gives you some kind of indicators there.
That little light, depending on what you're doing.
This is the home screen on the on the touch screen.
And you have the navigation map, the voice recognition, the radio, and the status of
the charging.
Of course, you can go in there and adjust all those settings.
The center touch screen is pretty interesting.
It has these icons here at the top.
So this first one here is kind of like a cell phone where it has the different icons.
You can kind of swipe through like so.
It has ambient light too.
Hopefully I'll be able to do a night video on this vehicle or one like it soon.
So you have that.
You also have the second one that shows your vehicle information.
You can go to navigation right here and then you can do a search for a destination or you
can look at the map.
It's very responsive and you can zoom in and out.
Get your bearings.
We're at East Coast Honda here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
And then you can pair phones.
And then here's your radio right here.
You can add more up here if you'd like.
Like if you want to change any of this stuff.
Let's say you don't want the phone there.
You can have something else.
And then the charging information.
This is very important with the electric vehicle.
Shows you this.
The status of how far you're going to charge.
So you can charge to 80.
Like right now it's set to 80.
We can bring it up higher if we want.
80 is usually pretty good unless you need the extra range.
And you have the optimization here.
So basically when it's cold out and you're headed towards a fast charger.
If you want the battery to warm up to get the best ability to charge fast.
So a cold battery charges slow.
A warmer battery charges fast.
So you can go ahead and optimize the battery pack to get ready for when you get there.
It'll charge the fastest.
So you can start battery heating here.
You can also look for locations here as well.
Now there's also settings down here that you can go into and change what you want.
Here's the different drive modes.
So you have eco, comfort, sport.
You can customize one.
Eco gives you the best range though.
Ambient light adjustments are here.
And it has lots of different colors.
You can also customize a color and link them to the drive mode as well.
You can adjust the massage function here and have the duration.
I'll go to a longer duration like so.
Position.
You can synchronize.
Change to waves.
We can go to tapping.
We can go to stretching.
Try that out.
Now if you pull down from the top you have the brightness settings.
You can also have day or night mode right there.
There's also climate control here on the bottom of the screen.
So you can adjust the temperature here.
And then you have heated and cooled seats.
Pull back to the main home screen as well.
Now the home screen is customizable.
You can have, you know, whatever you want in these little spots here.
But as it is with the navigation, the phone, the radio, all these are nice.
Now it also has a voice recognition system that's able to recognize what you say.
And you can control the vehicle to some degree as far as the different features using your voice.
And these are, the temperature down here is a slider.
And then you have a slider for the radio and a slider for the temperature of the passenger.
Heated and cooled seats are just tap right here.
Four-way flashes are here.
There's also this little wireless charger with USB ports, USB-C ports.
And then you basically stick your phone down in there and it's a wireless charger.
You can open up the doors there.
Cup holders, we saw that.
Saw that.
There is an auto dim rear view mirror with home link garage door opener controls there.
Interior lights are up here.
You can turn them all on.
You can also tap the lens for individual lights.
You have roadside assistance as well.
The visor is a vinyl type material.
The headliner is a cloth.
This opens up and you have a mirror with a light.
Little clip right here.
These visors also extend, but they don't extend enough.
You know right where the sun is going to be right there.
But yeah, take a look at the back there.
The visibility, yeah, not bad.
I mean, it depends on your passengers and all that stuff.
Now, if it had a rear view camera, this side of rear view camera would help out.
But depending on your passengers and cargo space and all that stuff might limit your visibility.
But yeah, interesting, very interesting vehicle.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
I'll have to get access to one for more time so I can do more detailed test driving, night video,
go into more of the features the vehicle has,
and especially a higher trim that has more features and comment on all that stuff as well.
I really like that the turning radius is ridiculous.
You can turn this thing right around in a tight spot.
So let's do some zooming here.
Let's kind of zoom a little bit so you can get an idea of
the acceleration and just the feel, which I have it in normal mode.
But the responsiveness to the pedal is pretty cool.
So we'll just kind of zoom.
Oh yeah, I'm not really pressing it to the floor or anything.
I'm just kind of zooming a little bit since we're in the parking lot.
Go over here.
Oh yeah, that feels so good.
It's so responsive.
This pedal is crazy.
So let's go over here and let's find the drive modes and let's put it on sport mode.
See if it makes a big difference.
Yeah, that turning radius is really nice.
OK, so let's do a little zoom here.
Make sure nobody's around.
Oh yeah, so that's a little bit.
That's a little bit of a little bit better, but it's not the normal is still fine.
Like I still get a good acceleration in the normal mode.
Oh yeah, yeah, this is so fun.
Just here in the parking lot.
That's the thing about electric vehicles is they very responsive pedal and find the drive and.
Oh yeah, awesome.
Yeah, I have to do some more test driving once I get one back home
for more of a detailed review.
But yeah, this is awesome.
This is going front and center here in the front of the dealership.
