Subscribe & donate @TheBunduBallerina The great late Vladimir Shklyarov (RIP) as Armand guesting at the Royal Ballet with Natalia Osipova as Marguerite and Christopher Saunders as Armand's father. Gary Avis is in the role of the Duke. Sir Frederick Ashton created Marguerite and Armand for Fonteyn and Nureyev. The ballet is based on Alexandre Dumas fils's book about "The Lady of the Camelias". Verdi created his famous opera "La Traviata" based on this story & various ballet, stage and film adaptations have used it for inspiration. The ballet performance shown here took place in 2017.
