The Story of Chinese Character : 魂

魂 is composed of 雲 (say) and 鬼 (ghost) . 雲 is the picture of swirling air (cloud), 鬼 means a dead person. In the concept of ancient Chinese, the human soul looks like swirling air; dead person doesn’t have soul.
