Best of Miami Florida - Wynwood - World's Largest Outdoor Art Exhibit

this is not graffiti this is Art welcome to Miami Windwood we are in the Windwood District of Miami very close to the Port of Miami you can come over here for the day if you're sailing out but I know what you're saying right now why am I here but give this video a chance because this place is unique and Ever Changing every time you come here to visit it will be different you won't be the last you won't be the last you won't be the [Music] last Windwood used to be known as the little San Juan Puerto Rico just a fun fact Windwood in Miami started to get at its artsy reputation back in the 90s and then in 2009 Tony Goodman wanted to turn these buildings these warehouses into art all right this is a bonus this is Windwood on this tour they stopped by the Art District I think it said it was 800,000 Square ft of just murals and one thing that's cool is every time you come back here December they paint these buildings again all white and basically start all over let's just take a quick tour through here be sure to check out our viour page where we book all our tours and excursions there are four full guided tours with a travel guide there's tours with golf carts which I think is over the top and they even got a bike party crawl through Windwood there are so many high-end restaurants and bars in this district and if you want a bar hop in Miami there is no better place than Windwood look at these over here there's a motorcycle and again on the opposite side insane now apparently also just a little tip if a building owner likes what's on their store they can opt not to have it painted which I think is very unique but what a beautiful piece of artwork Art District it's in Windwood I think it's a suburb of kind of like Miami it's very close to Miami and Little Havana also Windwood Miami has the world's first graffiti Museum if you're stuck on a rainy day and you can't see these murals outside go to the museum it's incredible and if you're a photographer or an instagrammer or a vlogger I tell you one thing there is no better place to get some photos it's Instagram Heaven this art district has got to be on your bucket list of places to visit imagine they redo this every single December I don't know these kind of look like alien Indians maybe look at that that's a bar imagine this place at nighttime but what's got my attention is this one it looks like an avatar I love that movie and yes they do the sidewalks too so colorful oh he got a bank here I guess it's closed some nice rides and especially if you like art photography this place has everything and it's something different there's my wife over there I tell you one thing there is so much here every street you turn and go down is another one this is going to have to be a whole video in itself I got to come back and do this I see you too oh look at this place this is like an upscale place it's sitting right in the Art District a beautiful little restaurant even decorate some of the poles here I like this one up here the sneaker one and that's a very nice looking dog check out this gate it kind of goes with the theme of this place muckrock I love what Miami did here I hope other cities know what he was telling us I think he said when they start painting this they bring all these art festivals down here and they start to paint these things and believe it or not they make $45 per square square foot now imagine some of these artists that is a lot of money for sure you know what I kind of feel like I feel like there's going to be zombies coming to chase me because it's kind of scary it's almost like it's abandoned but this place is very hopping at night time as you can imagine with the bars and what they did with this these buildings might have you know some of them are stores obviously but some of them might have been just tore down or abandoned so what a way to put art back in our lives it is very very quite unique and you can see this if you take a cruise on Carnival this is an Excursion that they did when you're in port on Miami day there's this swarm this looks like it might be some kind of bar again it's daytime it's it's like 11:00 oh look at this what is that is that a trash can I don't know what that is but it's art oh you know what that's made out of tires now I see it from behind beautiful colors here MSG I don't know what that is but if does to come out here and just paint this white again and start over all right that one's got my attention I got four minutes to get back on the ship do you see that huge alligator that is Talent
