VLOGMAS 1 🎄 Zara Christmas home haul, advent calendars & Barney's birthday!

lenses yay what's the one that he's destroyed hm looks important when it's a brown envelope it's usually important anyway guys good morning welcome back to my channel welcome to vlogmas are be starting this vlogmas with a co hot chocolate or a LM siip LM siip it is unfortunately for me definitely over the worst of this cold now but my goodness it hit me and also where has November gone I mean I am pre- filming this obviously for you guys is the 1st of December but for me it's not quite there yet but why has November gone it has flown by this year it's been so quick October and November like Autumn being my favorite time of the year has just gone it's hot as you may have gathered it is also Barney's birthday today today and tomorrow we have this dilemma every year where basically I feel like he's got a twod day birthday he officially his paperwork says he was born today but he was actually born after midnight him and one other puppy so in theory their birthday is actually tomorrow but because it's on his paperworkers today we'll just celebrate for both days shall we so I think we're going to pop out two peps at home and get him a little toy we do also have I know I'm pre-filming this but for you guys to get in the vlogmas zone we have some Advent calendars to start today with it being the first of you guys watching also need to do my nails excuse the fact that one has fallen off I broke a nail last night so I'm going to have to redo them and I've actually ordered from Amazon this I don't know what the name of it is there's this trend going around on Tik Tok that's like it kind of uses a magnet to like make it multi-dimensional in like a shimmery color so I'm going to give that a whirl so excuse the one missing nail for now but before we do anything we just need to down that Lim sip but let me get my Advent calendars out this year I have a cracker of an advent calendar for myself that I treated myself to because why not oh my goodness so I thought about doing a bit of baking today doggy friendly baking obviously we've got a recipe for banana and pumpkin biscuits dog biscuits so we can make this and take them for all of it Doby friends in daycare before we do that let's crack open my Advent calendar I need to just down it LM siip is just one of them that I'm like I tolerate it it's not that nice my goodness this is so exciting what do we have behind door number one it's actually a little one some of the doors are a lot bigger than the others and one is a small one so let's see what we've got oh I think it a Christmas tree decoration oh I love it it is one of their wine bottles what's the how do they pronounce that wine bottle um sparkling du Lube I've got a couple of dford uh tree decorations already so these will go perfectly on there we go pop on the tree trying to see if I can find where my other stretching on in here for my other dalesford ones are oh here's one I think that's from dford Little Sheep we'll pop it there beautiful [Music] [Music] don't find Barney anywhere anyway I've just come in here and look at him all cozy GED up oh sorry to disturb you from your little snooze thought we just head outside as it's been a while since I've shown you our kitchen Garden progress so if I come down here guys look how Frosty it is this morning it's so nice makes walking Barney so much easier when it's I mean obviously you can tell the sun has started def to defrost that side now but when the grass is this Frosty it's just no muddy walks it makes it very very easy but anyway this is how our outdoor space is currently looking obviously there's quite a lot of Builders equipment still here with a few little finishing touches that they need to do who has fit these little wall lights and also these um little spots here he also fits some plug sockets and light switches I thought there was a switch on that side I think it's over this side here we go uh leave on I think that's the garden lights because he's also added some in and amongst the trees so at night it's all lit up so I think they're on a timer okay so this one switches on these little wall lights and then this one I'm guessing yeah this one is for the spotlights and then obviously this is going to be where the fire is I've got a couple of vases that I brought out here that don't really have a place for inside so I thought I could kind of do a bit of just display it feels very cold um we're to get cabinets on the front of these as well as a little sink which is what the waist is there for we also had to for one reason or another have what do they call it conduit piping which is basically when the piping isn't within the walls built within the walls so rather than just do them like plastic white ones we actually got this galvanized one to kind of make a bit of a feature out of it same with over this side where you can see the piping here on the external walls it's something to do with the steel beam across here that we couldn't obviously drill through been slow progress to be honest with you cuz obviously with it being thick of winter we've not really used it I also thought we could keep this gny on the stand and have it over in that corner and just have extra work dot space cuz originally we were going to put the Gosney and we still might at one point pop it here we've also got our table and chairs out here these chairs have withstood loads of different temperatures like obviously they're getting beaten up with like poo and leaves as is the table but when it is really Frosty like this and when we've got the space we could always just bring the chairs inside here but for now yeah this is how the garden is looking right I think it's time to go to pets at home and get you a little toy but in the meantime you want to try one of these banana pumpkin biscuits that I've baked for you let's see if he likes them all they nice and warm o lovely maybe we should just stick with the Tail's treats Hey Oh no you're eating that one may he just spat out the fact that that was the small piece he's like no give me the big one is that nice he's like I'll tolerate your Healthy best SKS right should we go to the shop do you want to go to pets at home you like to look at the little guinea pigs don't you and the rabbits and the fishies [Music] [Applause] [Music] it is so cold outside isn't it Barney so we are back from pets at home this was his toy of choice and it's one of these when I say his he was just far more interested in the rabbits and the guinea pigs and so I thought well I'll get him this it's a treat dispenser so you can pop your little treats in there and it be more of like an interactive toy which I I think he prefers anyway it it's either that or unwrapping the toy that's his favorite part of getting a new toy so we decided to settle on a new interactive toy so I'm going to pop some treats in here for him and speaking of treats I also got myself on rout back popped into well I went by Matalan and also DS Matalan and McDonald's because they have a new Christmas range don't they they've got the um you know how I like the apple pie and they've done a few seasonal ones and the toffee apple one I absolutely love well this year they've brought out a Terry's chocolate orange one I don't think it'll beat the toffee Apple but thought we could give it a try and also I went for one of the Galaxy hot chocolates why do they make these things so difficult to get into they're like lethal aren't they I know I'll get you in a minute [Music] Cy right we're going to go in with some turkey turkey rewards C press turkey rewards these are a good size to pop into little treat dispensers like this cuz they're literally just like little mouth size they're also great for training cuz obviously you can use these little mini treats versus a much bigger one for some little training tricks touch spin touch sit pow pow both Paws good boy good boy oh yeah the the perfect size for this oh you're in for a treat Bary oh good leave okay can we hear them this will keep him busy for a bit okay and he's gone and that's him occupied for hopefully a while now I'm not helping you you got to work for yourself hear him grumbling at it you w to hear him in the background just grumbling away right should we give this a try this is the Galaxy hot choer Galaxy was it Galaxy caramel oh yeah caramel well it smells good I saw someone on Tik Tok doing this by cutting it half and putting it within the Terry's chocolate orange uh Muk flurry that they do M this is definitely better than the one they did last year with the I think it was Galaxy caramel can you see that it's like really thick chocolate on the inside thick melted Terry's chocolate orange I still think the tofe apple one is my favorite but that one is delicious I don't know what we're going to do for the rest of the afternoon I think Tom's Drew back might go for a nice long evening dog walk all together as a little fam for Barney's b b day took some photos earlier of him with his little birthday hat and birthday bandana on not bandana the happy birthday bunting behind him oh no I've got I in how have I managed that hot chocolate all down me I have just uh removed all my gels ready to repaint them and I thought I would show you the two sets that I got they boxes that they come in a bit grubby but oh well uh they're from this brand maow I'll leave these linked below from Amazon comes with this little magnet you just do your gel nail polish as normal this one is in the shade nude that's the shade of the nude a bit of a darker almost pinkier glitter and then the champagne gold I think I'm going to prefer the champag gold this one is yeah nice I think what I might do though is do like a base of bubble bath by OPI and then go in with this as like a top coat and then what you do is when you paint it on you use the magnet to create a kind of iridescent finish and you can obviously like there's instructions online I'm literally going to be watching them whilst doing it so I'll show you how they turn out on me plus I've had to cut all my nails short cuz I broke one and I can't have them all cuz I don't get acrylics if I break one I've got to cut them all short but anyway um you can like do it down the middle or you could do like a bit of a c-shaped kind of create a bit more of a curve so I'll have a play around with these and let you know how I get on with [Music] them hey Santa the city is covered in sow tonight where did my love go Santa I'm waiting for him it's a new day and we are back fresh from a muddy stormy windy walk and the only thing to do on a day like today let's have a sofa day a chill day we're very much looking forward to it Tom is on cheffing duties today he is starting the day with a fry up which I feel like isn't complete without a piece of fried bread am I right Tom thinks Tom thinks the opposite he's like oh no can't think of anything worse I just thought I would pop in here just to show you a delivery that I have had from Zara home I popped in a little order of which it has just arrived and it's from their Christmasy B it's feeling festive I think maybe even in my next vlogmas episode I might or within the next couple at least hold on let me just shut the door um I feel like we might do some Christmas wrapping cuz I love to see gift wrapping even if it's not necessarily for inspiration I've already got mine sorted it's just one of those things I find quite therapeutic and I also enjoy watching other people do it so yeah I might do that I will just have to say to friends and family again this time of the year just don't watch because you will ruin surprises I need to get some scissors I can tell which one this is it's come in two parcels and then this one looks like it's going to be the gift wrap I thought I got two lots of gift oh I did there's two in here so I got two lots of gift wrap to go with my extensive gift wrapping collection that I've got this year but I definitely want to do a bit of a mismatch patch of loads of different papers within the same kind of theme of that traditional Christmas so this one is um it's like a checked pattern oh nail update guys I love this nail this nail polish that I showed you look at the glisten on that so so pretty so I used a layer of funny bunny which is basically a white gel from OPI and then one layer of the glitter on top and then with the magnet I just literally J the magnet across one side of the nail each time and love it the only thing is I'm thinking maybe next time switching up and either trying out the different the other look at that the other color that I got but I also might not do a layer of funny bunny underneath the white to make I kind of want to see what it looks like just two layers of that so it's a bit more sheer rather than quite bright but anyway really really impressed anyway this paper sorry I sound bunged up still it's kind of annoying cuz I feel absolutely fine now it's just a case of you know it's like having a cold cold just lingers doesn't it it does with me anyway Christmas edition gift wrap beautiful little Tartan it's got gold foil on there and then I also went for this one which has like a red metallic foil and it's got like this traditional kind of like a holly berry print and little bows on there as well so I got those two and then let's open the box of goodies guys first thing I see how gorgeous I definitely don't need any more Christmas napkins but we're getting through them because they're not kind of display napkins we're actually using them as our napkin napkins tea towels literally cooking one meal in this household means the tea toil needs to go in the wash every time how often do you wash your tea tows if you're cooking every day they do get grubby don't they so we do have to wash them quite often so yeah we're switching them up with quite a few different designs this year for Christmas and I thought this one especially this year with our traditional Christmas that we've been bringing into the home I just thought was beautiful so this is a set of two tea towels I'll open them up so you can see them this one is Christmas gifts and this one says Christmas carols there we go I got these as if you remember I ordered some from teamu and they weren't 3D these kind of like wax seals stickers so I saw that Zar home had done them and I thought yeah in this gorgeous burgundy color as well which I'm loving this year Christmas edition Wax Seal stamps as you can see there they've also got letters on so you get I think three sheets 78 pieces thinking about using these on like the crackers for everyone's table gifts for Christmas so I thought I would pick up a sheet of these and or even like on Christmas cards it's quite nice to have like a wax seal stamp and maybe depending on how much I have left over after my um doing all my gifts table gifts for Christmas if I've got any left over for Christmas cards as then when I send them out to people they were only a couple of pounds as well um so really affordable then I picked up this now this is um oh it comes in a really nice bag packaging of Zara is just so so nice uh so it's actually a set of two different designs of paper napkins to pop out for the whole Christmas period I always have paper nutkins out on the usually on the island tray Christmas dishes and these are the same on both sides with the burgundy color and then the green color one is gingerbread man I also saw these ones these are bigger and again Christmas Eve I'm thinking popping these out on Christmas Eve on the island we're probably going to do picky te on Christmas Eve this year but how nice is that design it's like a really rustic present which just has a little tag on that says Merry Christmas so again for a few pounds each I thought they look lovely and then last but not least do I ever end a whole section of a video without saying last but not least now this is the thing that made me put in the order in the first place when I saw this I just thought it was perfect you guys know how oh again they packaging how last year I wrote a letter to myself when I was doing my decorate with me if you've seen that video I opened it up and it was a nice reflective letter to be able to look back and kind of look at what I've achieved and what I was hoping to achieve if I've actually achieved it there was also some money in there for a little takeaway a little treat I've seen people doing it with wrapping their Christmas tree lights around a wine bottle so that when you get out your decorations the year year after you've got a bottle of wine to open um but I loved the idea more than anything more than the gifting of the wine or the money is the letter to myself so I've decided to make a bit of a tradition of it this year and moving forwards um so last year's letter I've posted through my little post box over there which I just popped a little Christmas hat on I've popped the letter in there and I'm just going to keep every year just keeping the letters in there so that in years to come if I want to to have a bit of a reflection on them I will date them all and anyway this set that Zara do it's a little booklet it's like a gold foiled cover and it is a a letter book so inside you've got 20 letters and decorative stickers in there as well so these are the little decorative stickers it' be quite nice to do a little bespoke kind of personalized letter to each family member as well to open within their Christmas card then you could obviously keep the letters within this booklet or just tear them out but each page has basically it's like an envelope here with a seal that you can open up fold out and it just says letter number with a little date there's a gold foiled border I will leave all of these bits Linked In the description box now go and enjoy my fry app which very much looking forward to just love Zar home so much if I had kids as well wow the Zar home kids section I would demolish there's always some gorgeous bits on there kind of pricey though isn't it it's more like investment pieces but yeah when you've got stuff like this for a matter of a few pounds I just think Zara Holmes buying team and style team in terms of like the Creative Concepts genius love love love bubbling away nicely in there not much oil in there though [Music] hell that was W delicious I forgot totally forgot but I had some deliveries from couple of Brands which I thought I would sit down and share with you because guys you know my obsession with bows this year I feel like the lighting's over here we need to move you don't we yeah I've decided I have an obsession with bows for this time of the year I just think it's so nice to be able to throw in your hair kind of get your hair off your face but in a really pretty way and look really put together so I have this brand that have very kindly reached out and sent me some bits from Caroline Gardener firstly for gifting ideas some gorgeous bits they've got these cashmere hoods which are great for like layering under um coats you know if you want the look of like a hoodie underneath but without the need for like an entire hoodie just a nice like added warmth kind of like an alternative to a scarf they've also got these gorgeous bows I love the um sort of like layered look with this black bow and then how pretty is that feel like a Christmas de with you sparkly nails gorgeous doing this without a mirror I'm going in blind here but an idea of what a little bow like that can look like in your hair does it look pretty I look quite pretty name the film black On's a bit easy to pop in one of these like slidy grips even if you were just to add it onto one side like that what do we think pretty right I think I prefer it at the back of my hair or even in a ponytail if I wear it up and then also if you just popped one on onto a little ponytail this is how I most often wear a bow slide in at the top of a ponytail and it just adds a little a little something why is pretty standard ponytail can we see using this to see if you can see in the view finder just in a little ponytail like so anyway for the rest of this afternoon like I said we are planning a very much chilled one on the sofa with the snacks with Barney of course and I think with some Christmas movies we might get home alone on speaking of which I ordered I haven't done it yet but I've ordered the light kit from Amazon that you can get for the Lego Home Alone house you guys have seen me build and it's out in the black room I've got it on display but I think adding some little festive lights will make like the perfect Edition I'm I'm not going to have this out all year round this Home Alone house it's going to be a Christmas decor piece oh wow it looks quite complicated that might be a task for another day but anyway I am going to go
