Hey, guys, welcome.
My name is Magdalene Janet.
If you are new to my channel, guys, so today we are bald brows
because we're going to be trying out these brand new NYX
lift and snatch brow pens that recently released on my very sparse brows,
oily skin to see how it works out, especially all day long with the wear test.
So if you're interested in seeing how it all goes down,
please don't forget to, like, subscribe and turn your notifications on
because I'm constantly uploading brand new videos.
And without further ado, let's get started.
All right, guys.
So, oh, so these are the brand new NYX lift and snatch brow
tint pens do hair like strokes.
I feel like it's your typical, you know, makeup pen that has been popular this year.
I feel like a lot have released.
So I got three shades because I don't know which one's going to work out.
I'm thinking based on the box, maybe this one.
I don't know.
All right, guys.
Wow. These are thin.
Look how thin they are.
OK, this is the shade ash brown on caramel brunette.
So we make these lines.
So this one right here is ash brown,
caramel and then brunette.
That's the thing about these pens that I've realized,
especially this year, using them a lot more often
is that they're literally like a gel ink pen.
Like if you're writing stuff for school or work,
this would be the type of pen you're using on your brows,
as opposed to like the old school pens that look like this,
that you need to put a lot more pressure on to write,
especially if you're left handed like me.
You avoid these gel pens because you're just going to smear as you write.
You probably go to this one or at least I did growing up.
You know what I mean?
So I wanted to show you guys what those differences were,
because when I first started using these brow pen type things,
I had no idea.
And color also matters a lot more than let's say
if you were to get a pencil, usually with brow pencils.
I just go with the darkest shade because it just goes better
with my skin tone and my my brow hairs because my brow hairs are pretty dark.
Although they're sparse, they're dark.
But when you work with brow pens, I would always suggest
to go a shade or two lighter because you're working with pure ink.
You're more likely to look like you have very harsh brows or boxy brows
because it's just a pure ink going onto your skin.
OK, we're going to use this disposable spoolie because we didn't have one
or one didn't come with.
We're just going to brush these bad boys up as my brow gel.
I use this got to be glued.
It's like a glue gel.
It's a wig glue, but it's also like styling gel like a two in one.
I'm going to glue down the right brow and then this left brow.
We're just going to use the pen directly on it.
So I'm going to get my spoolie and the glue.
You get very little.
We're going to brush these bad boys up.
Do like a laminating effect.
And you have to work quick with this glue because it dries super, super fast.
You see, now you can really see how bald my brows are.
Now we're going to use the shade ash brown.
You guys, I'm loving how thin this is.
I'm excited. OK, so what I usually do is I'll start
like in the middle of the brow and just start making lines
anywhere where my eyebrows are sparse, which means everywhere.
And I just do lines like this with the pen this way
because it gives me more control if I go like this.
I'm more likely going to have thicker strokes this way
when you go straight, kind of like you're going to poke
is going to give you thinner strokes.
And that's what we're trying to achieve right now.
Just following the shape of the brow.
It's a very subtle like it's not too dark.
The shade is freaking perfect.
Wow. I'm just following the shape of my brow.
You see, it's a little bit darker than this one, but not too dark.
Now that I've warmed my hand up with this side of my brow,
I'm going to start working to the front and then start creating lines.
Oh, sorry, you didn't see this.
And I'm going like way outside of the lines, but we're going to
fix that up.
Yeah, I went like outside of the lines right here, which is totally fine.
I much rather do that and then just go back and clean it up.
Let's see if we can spooly this out.
You can most likely spooly it out
when you don't have anything on your brows like we're working with right now.
Seems to not dry that quickly.
So that's nice. Wow.
Look how freaking natural it looks.
I actually love this benefit, the brow micro pen.
It has like these three prong.
It I don't know, prong pen thing.
And look, let's look at this.
You see how it looks here.
The shade, the shade is very similar to ash brown here.
Ash brown is this one right there.
Here, let's cover these up because that's the one thing I've been using this one
because I love it so much, but mainly because of the shade.
The shade is perfect.
I think we've found a dupe, especially in shade.
OK, I'm so excited. All right.
So let's continue here.
And if you mess up, don't worry,
because we're going to go in with some concealer and clean this up.
I like that you can go quickly and it doesn't like smear
or give you that dot if you press too hard.
Because again, the color is like perfect.
Let's work on here a little bit.
I like to bring my eyebrows a little bit out because they're too short,
I feel like for my face.
So let's just pull it out again.
I like that they look bushy.
That's always the goal here.
Here, this brow has dried.
These brow pens are only 11 bucks, and I bought mine at Ulta.
So let's work with this one.
Now you see this one.
It's already kind of shaped up for us.
We are going to just do the same exact thing,
but this is going to be a little bit harder
because the hairs are already like gel down.
So let's see how this works out.
And essentially what we want to do, too, is just keep going up
kind of like our hairs are.
So just keep stroking up as well as using a very light hand.
Then now we're going to be going here to the front.
And in the front, that's when I'm grabbing my pen
and using like the entire pen to give me those long strokes in the front.
But on the rest of the brow, you want to use the point.
We're going to try to use our spoolies since we do have our brows gel down.
The precision in this, guys, it's so good.
OK, so my front is I need to bring this one out a little bit.
Really, what I look for is at the bottom of the brows.
Here are even. All right.
So which brow do you guys like more?
This one with no gel, no nothing
or this brow gel down and everything.
Taking the gel down more, I think it's a little more structured.
I feel like it was a little bit easier because we already had a working shape.
This one, because I didn't have any gel, it didn't have a shape.
So we had to create it.
But it doesn't look bad.
I just feel like we have to pick one, right?
I would pick this one right now.
So what I'm going to do is get our gel glue again.
Get a very little bit.
That's kind of a lot, but I'll take the majority off on my hand.
Which one did I not glue down?
This one. OK, so let's glue her down.
You see right now, it's kind of it looks messy
just because we haven't cleaned them up.
You know what?
What I'm going to do right now is go in front of the window
so you guys can see how they look.
They don't look too harsh or dark, and you can really tell
when you don't have any makeup on.
So let's go to the window and let me show you.
All right, guys, this is how the brows look.
See, they look pretty natural.
I haven't cleaned them up or anything.
So this is the one we put the brow glue on.
And then this is the one we put the brow glue gel after.
So it looked pretty good, you know.
You just saw how they look in daylight.
So I'm going to use this concealer from L'Oreal.
It's in the shade Cashew.
Clean these bad boys up.
I'm going to use this Makeup Shack T77 brush.
I want to get very little.
And I always start at the bottom.
Just clean them up.
Wait, I think I got too little.
You want to just keep them clean.
Like, don't really touch where you put any product on.
And I do this because I don't get my eyebrows done.
I do them myself and I don't even do them all that great.
But I just get like the big hairs out of there and then everything else.
Whatever you have on the brush, you're just going to clean it up here,
doing the same shape, like keeping the same shape.
And I always try to use a concealer that's closer to my skin tone
so it doesn't look super off and super light and obvious.
And I'm a brows before anything type of girl
because I feel like my brows shape my face.
Since I don't have a lot of hair, I can't see the vision before anything.
These have to be on.
You know what I mean?
OK, I'm going to speed this one up.
And so now we're just going to clean it up with this.
Any sort of blending brush you have, it's fine, babe.
My boo's over here right next to me, guys, opening up his energy drink.
And then when you clean them up, you want to assess again,
see what's happening and what parts are still bald.
I always have bald parts.
And right here, I'm bald at the bottom here.
And we always try to get these brows sisters.
OK, not cousins.
They're they're very related.
I feel like we definitely have a benefit dupe, but not yet.
We're going to see how it lasts, because the benefit one
really lasts all day long while the TV phone
this makes lift in snatch brow pen.
Wow, like I told you guys earlier today,
the main thing for me is color because color can make or break it.
I tried the ABH one.
I couldn't find a good shade.
I tried the hard candy one brow pen.
I couldn't find the right shade.
I've tried another one and it just didn't work.
So, oh, the it one shade really, really matters.
I feel like that's like the most important.
And then like the tip, how it looks.
And this has the perfect shade and the perfect tip.
So 734 in the morning.
So I am going to put the rest of my face on and BRB.
All right, guys, I'm back.
So just put full face and everything.
Not too much.
These are how the brows look.
This brow right here is the one we put the gel on first.
The right eye, I think. Yeah.
And then this one was the one we put the brow gel last.
What do you guys think?
Honestly, I feel like I like them both now.
It's hard to tell.
I don't know. They look the same.
I don't see much of a difference.
Oh, I don't know. I like both.
I think both ways is fine.
I think you get the same end result.
But the real test is going to see how the brows last,
because I have very oily skin and it's happened
where products don't last.
Like I'm literally missing the front of the brow.
And, you know, brows is the one thing that has to just last all day.
You know what I mean?
And I will see in the next check in.
I'm back.
It feels like I literally just left, but it's
I don't know, 130 or so.
And this is how the brows look.
This is the brow.
We didn't put brow gel and brow gel.
They both look good.
Like the shade is perfect.
It freaking looks pretty natural.
I mean, as natural as they can potentially look.
I wanted to just come on here in daylight so you guys can see
like how they really look, you know?
But yeah, chat with you later. Bye.
Hey, guys, I'm back.
So my lips are chapped.
My nose is so stuffed up going over the footage.
And I was like, oh, my God, I sound like like I'm talking like this.
But anyway, guys, I'm back.
It's the end of the day.
It's 830 in the evening.
Well, 820. But you know what I mean?
Hold on. Let me put something on my lip.
Can't with these dry lips right now.
My brows are still freaking on.
You see the oil through my skin.
My skin is oily.
It's what it is.
And a lot of times these oils, it'll just break down the product easily.
And a lot of times I find that with drugstore pencil
that for the Maybelline pencil I used recently,
my oils just really break down a lot of drugstore pencils.
I don't know why it would it is or why it is.
So lately I've been really going towards the brow pen formulas
because it's straight up ink on your skin and it's less likely,
at least from my experience, to break up.
And here we find that is true.
You see, they look good.
Should we touch them and see?
OK, this is what I usually do when I do a wear test.
So as we can see, the brows look good.
No smudging, nothing has smeared.
I've been home all day. I haven't left the house.
I just it's cold, so I'm not leaving the house.
I honestly really like I think I'm going to stick with doing
the brow glue first and then adding the hair like strobe
can just see the very small, small difference.
That one looks, you know, but overall, I like them.
They both look bomb.
You guys, this is bomb.
One of my favorites.
If if not, not if if not my favorite right now, it's $11.
It comes in seven shade. It was freaking great.
I like that I could even put a little more pressure on my brows
and you didn't get like a splash of ink onto your skin,
which happens a lot more often than not.
The tip is super, super small.
I'm hoping it won't like stretch out
or like the hairs will go all over the place through time.
I'll keep you guys updated if that happens.
But let's just oh, let's see.
Nothing came off.
You guys, my battery is literally blinking because it's about to die.
So you see, look, we're just rubbing them or rubbing them.
And especially here, because I don't have hair, you know,
I create like hair like strokes.
So you have to rub them for them to really come off.
But not that bad, guys.
This is a go. I recommend it.
I'm buying five of these.
You guys, thank you so much for being here.
If you made it this far in the video, I love you.
