Living in a van in the most BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE IN FRANCE | Vanlife Europe

Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Temperature suddenly shot up to 30 degrees. Oh crap. It's taken us a little by surprise. Literally from 21 to 30 degrees. And it's somewhat draining. Especially when you're sitting here in freaking jeans. But we have found a lovely shady area. On the downside there are quite a few hornets. While I know they're not interested in us, they still look quite scary. I have more fun watching her go oh my god there's a hornet. Run. Yes yes you do do that. Now I'm too hot to do that. So I just will have to accept my fate. Currently parked up in a campsite. In France they have what's called municipal campsites. By my god they're cheap. This place six euros per night. I will repeat that. Six euros per night. We saw this one when we were driving and just done an about turn. It was actually when we were coming back from Saint-Siac-Lapopie. We're in Saint-Siac-Lapopie and we've had a an hour or so to have a little walk around and we have to agree with the sentiment that it was voted the most beautiful village in France. It's absolutely stunning. It's between medieval, renaissance, stepping back in time. It is yeah. I hope that the video that Rob's been taking has actually captured this place. It's almost no words for it to be fair. And that's the reason why I'm going to do an extended vlog of this because I want to try and capture as much of it so you can see what we're seeing. And I don't think they need any help with tourism because over 600,000 people a year come here. It's a lot of people for a little village really. Yeah I can't imagine what in the So we bought some caramel syrup and some pear apricot and honey. So that would be very yummy no doubt. What are you going to use the caramel for? Coffee. Okay so I think we're done here for today. It's been absolutely amazing. Absolutely incredible place and I just thought I'd come up to the top here just to get the panoramic view right the way around which is stunning also. Yeah the poor little dogs are absolutely shattered especially Lily because she's on a few drugs at the moment for her eye. So we're going to whiz them back and I think I'll get something to eat. I think we've got steak tonight which is good so I might actually get the grill out and do that on the grill. Let's head back anyway and we'll see you back at the van. It goes literally from cold this morning. I was wearing a jacket. To now roasting but I am all in black so that's never going to help matters is it? Don't drop, don't drop. Very nice. I've got to say the view from here though pretty spectacular but anyway we're going to have our coffee and then we're going to have something to eat because I'm Hank Marvin. You've got a little steak to have and I might try it with some cowboy butter and while we're at it I'm not wearing my sunglasses now. These of course are a little controversy. They're very much hated or very much loved. I wear them because they cover up half my face because my left eye is really dry and it just leaks and leaks and leaks and tears and tears so I need something as big as possible to either stop that from happening or to hide the marks of it having happened because it's not pretty not justifying yes you are yes you are never such ski goggles I don't give a shit yeah we don't we don't need a Charlotte with mascara all down her face now do we or mascara what did I say mascara mascara well you are masking your face see you at the cooker so you can't beat a bit of steak and the sauce that went on it's called cowboy butter I really like it makes a good alternative to a pepper sauce on a steak so we're just going to do the washing up and yeah get in for the night really and look forward to waking up to this view in the morning so I might actually grab the scooter out and go down to that town at night just to see what it's like when it's all lit up so I bet it's absolutely stunning so I might do that I might not so if I do then here it is all right well that was a real surprise there was literally no one there it was great it was so peaceful it's probably like it was during the day before tourism arrived beautiful so peaceful I saw one person the whole time I was there amazing anyway I will say good night now Charlotte bye bye yes don't worry I will be getting a helmet um I have noticed the comments and I didn't tell him yeah she did that's why I've not been on the scooter yet because I want a helmet you won't go on the scooter anyway helmet even if you had shin pads even if you went on a fat suit you still wouldn't you need a bike you enjoy it so it's good it's just as well when you have one so we don't have to argue about it you're quite happy being on it so anyway talking about things that have happened this week you may remember last week our upload was a day late it's because of Lily poor little Lily she's had a bit of a traumatic week and we had to take her to the vet because she'd got something in her eye it just looked so bad so on Monday we found a vet and took her in and yeah it wasn't very pleasant what they found so yeah we I will show you but if you have any phobias against eyes or squeamish about eyes or anything like that look away now so what's going on huh what's going on it's grass yes that was actually in inside her eyes yeah I see the red the green one now you can look again it's over anyway antibiotics and whatnot drops every two hours she's been sick as well isn't she yeah she's reacted now to the antibiotics been throwing up and the other end as well so yeah she's a she's on the men she's not herself and that's the reason why we've not been for a walk I really wanted to go for a walk today um there's a really nice walk here but it's quite long and uh yeah with the heat and her not feeling well yeah so we decided to chill here instead and uh they're in the shade and they're happy it's really hard work it's so so exhausting last week was a bit of a weird little quiz that we decided to do it did cause some confusion some people thought the sound wasn't up yeah maybe we should have explained a I've run it back though I've run the video back and we do actually say it's silent but it does seem like quite a few of you had some fun with it a lot of you struggled with it couldn't get any of them but there is only one person who has got all six correct um the ones that you did get right a lot of you got right was jamming and let me be your fantasy by baby d two of mine by the way they really struggled with yours yeah but I was very into it you were very into it but yeah so let's have a run through the answers number two from me was jamming by bob marley my second one my second one is let me be your fantasy by baby d my last one was billie jean by michael jackson so emily david hill well done you got all six from what was seemingly a very difficult task so congratulations emily you've done fantastically well there and you are a super fan as well so thank you very much a notable runner up as well is musketeer 87 who got five right I think that was actually just a little bit of fun anyway um yeah we quite enjoyed watching reading the comments as well it's good fun for us anyway we're just going to give you a look around here there's a beautiful river running down here the river and um yeah we'll see you again next week bye bye
