I'm starting to speak now, I'm starting to speak now, I'm starting to speak now, I'm

I was sweating while I was cutting the wood, so I had to take off my sweater, but I'm definitely
cold now, or cool now anyways.
Alright guys, so we're done for the camp chores for today.
Topped up the wood supply, organized the cleanup around camp, and now we're going to have a
nice dinner.
Going to cook something easy, quick, but also nutritious.
Some of you may be asking why I'm not cooking on my wood stove, and the reason for that is
poor heat control.
It's quite difficult to maintain the amount of heat that I need to cook without basically
cooking ourselves out of the tent.
Once I open up that wood stove to full blast, it will get up to 30 or 40 degrees Celsius
in here very quickly.
Beyond that, I've had it up to 60 or 70 in here in the past when I've done a stove test.
I find for cooking using propane, it's a little easier for heat control and we don't cook
ourselves out of the tent.
Woo!
We have some chicken thighs we're going to stir fry up.
I like the original place on these type of stir fries because they have a little bit of cumin
and some garlic and some onion in there.
They taste pretty good.
We also have a little bit of veg on the side here, so I have some red peppers.
Orange peppers, yellow peppers, red onion and some jalapeno.
Frying that up in some butter, of course, adding that extra flavor.
For the chicken, I'm really only using the spice and I'm just going to use a little bit of
barbecue sauce.
I find with chicken thighs, they're a little fattier, so they have some really good flavor
in there, especially when cooked high heat in the cast iron.
Just a hint of barbecue sauce will add some nice flavor for that wrap.
This is just bush cooking here, nothing fancy.
Alright, have a little taste test after a long day.
Put it down.
That's pretty good.
I know, yeah.
So I actually brought some salsa with me, but I'm not going to put it on.
This tastes good.
It doesn't smell so good without it, so yeah, definitely digging that.
Something simple, just a little barbecue sauce, some of the original T&J spice,
with some veg and chicken.
Yeah, very good.
These wraps are a little thick, but they'll definitely do the job.
So yeah guys, thank you for joining us today for the video.
We got quite a bit of work done around camp today.
We topped up our wood supply.
There's another two or three trees that's in the same area that fell over last season,
and we're going to head down and cut those as well.
Of course there's always a plane that has to fly overhead.
No matter how far you are in the remote north, there's always going to be a jet that flies overhead.
Yeah, so there's a few more trees in that area that we're going to cut down as well,
and stack up some more firewood there.
I do need to build a firebox or bring over a tarp or something to be able to cover my wood up,
and we'll work on that maybe next video.
So we'll be out again tomorrow, so we'll be shooting another video tomorrow.
This video should go out, I think, on Sunday.
So yeah, hopefully we'll have another video out again mid-next week.
Then I'm going to take off and do a little solo backpacking overnight,
and maybe some type of structure that I'll make something similar to last year,
like a tree teepee or a lean-to.
I'm just waiting for the temperatures to get a little bit colder.
Next week's temperatures are down to 28, 29, with overnight down to 34, 35,
so it's going to be very cold next week.
So I'm looking forward to that, getting out and making some survival shelters
and sharing those videos with you guys as well.
Guys, if there's anything that you want to recommend to us that we can cook in the next video,
by all means, comment down in the section, in the comment section below.
And if you guys give us a good idea, what I'll do is I'll give you guys a shout-out next video,
and we'll cook whatever your recommendations are,
maybe some recipes with some basic ingredients.
Keep in mind we're over here at the camp, so we're kind of limited to what we can do,
but I'm pretty much open to anything.
So with that said, we're going to enjoy the rest of the evening,
set up the sleeping cots here, relax, and like I say, we'll be back again tomorrow.
So you guys stay safe, have a great weekend, have a great week,
depending upon when you're watching this.
