James Corden welcomes Margot Robbie to the studio and Rose Byrne from the future in Australia. And after a discussion about Rose and Margot's comfort around Australia's bugs and wildlife, James asks the "Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway" stars about their shared love for Kylie Minogue. And James finds the photo of a very shirtless model Margot proudly displayed on her school binder as a 10-year-old.

So happy to see you both.
Margot, thank you for being here.
And Rose, you're joining us from the future.
You're in Australia.
You're actually, this is incredible, guys.
You realize what's happening here?
We're here now.
Rose can tell us what happens on Thursday.
What's going on?
What have we got to look forward to?
You know what?
There's so much, I don't want to ruin anything.
Right.
This is amazing.
I can't believe I'm in the studio next to Margot,
talking to you.
Look at this.
We're all here.
And Margot, just seeing Rose being back, that's it.
The other way.
The first one.
That way.
The first one.
There, look.
Hi, mate.
Hi, hon.
Now, we talked to Josh Gad recently,
who's in Australia filming right now.
And all he would talk about was all of the animals
there that he was terrified would kill him.
Rose, does that reflect reality of growing up in Australia,
or is that just a Josh Gad thing?
I'm going to say it's Josh Gad, but I'm like, I'm a city kid.
I grew up in the inner city, in the right, you know what I mean?
But I know, Margot, you're from Queensland,
and maybe have more, you know.
I mean, when Bobby came out, he was pretty
stunned by all the noises.
Just the crazy, like, quack, quack,
like all the big birds and stuff.
And he was like, baby, it's like Jurassic Park.
Oh, my god.
You know, walking around like, what's that?
Like, quiet.
Because the noises are pretty harsh, I suppose.
But for me, I'm so used to the, you know what I mean, Margot?
Yeah.
Are you OK with spiders and snakes
and all of those sorts of creatures?
Yeah, I grew up more around a lot,
well, there's heaps of wildlife around.
So I'm the person perpetuating the stereotypes
when people ask Aussies, like, were there kangaroos
out your window?
I'm like, yes, but not usually.
Or like, was there snakes in the house?
I'm like, tons, but not for everyone.
It was just, so I'm the, it's probably my fault.
I'm encouraging this, and I.
I was going to say, that's why I wanted to bring it up.
Yeah.
I always think it's, when you're used to something
and you live there, but when you, like you say, Rose,
when you go with your partner and you suddenly,
like, happen upon a snake, that's
when you realize something that you've just
come to get to know as normal.
My husband hates snakes.
He's English.
Yes.
And he, you guys don't have them, obviously.
No.
At all in England, I guess.
But yeah, but I mean, they're everywhere.
You know, I'm living in LA, and there was a two meter snake.
Two meters being, like, you know.
No.
That was just outside the kitchen, like,
just in the garden the other day.
Stop.
Yeah, he almost had a corner.
Like, he was so, and I was just.
I think I'd move.
He's like, what are we doing?
Do we kill it?
And I was like, no, we don't kill it.
Gently tell it to go somewhere else.
And he was like, I'm not doing that.
And I just.
You gently told a snake to leave your apartment.
You just gave it a little nudge.
I know that you're amazing, but that's really too far.
You just.
What are you doing?
You're like Mrs. Doolittle.
You're like, can I?
Just give it, like, a little nudge.
Like, go on.
You gave him a nudge with your hand?
Yeah, well, or like, get a leaf and just, like, kind of.
A leaf?
Yeah.
A leaf.
You know, just be like.
Jeez.
It wasn't a poisonous snake.
I googled it.
I checked it.
OK.
Now, Margot, you got your start on the brilliant Australian
soap Neighbours, which is.
Did you watch that?
Did.
Did I watch it?
I cried at Scott and Charlene's wedding, OK?
Now, some actors stay on that show for decades.
How many episodes did you end up doing?
What happened to your character when you left?
I was on for three years.
So I did almost.
I did over 300 episodes.
And then when I was leaving, I asked the writers,
can you kill me off in a big, like,
I want a big, dramatic death?
And then they didn't.
They were like, no, we're going to keep you alive.
So if it doesn't work out in America, you can come back.
And I was like, no, it's going to work out in America.
And I really want to be.
But yeah, so.
Good to have someone to fall back on, though.
My character just got a letter in the mail and was like,
I'm going to fashion school in New York.
And so, I mean, yeah, I could go back at any point, really.
You should go back for one episode.
I did think about it.
You actually should.
I mean, some of the actors that have come out of Neighbours
is absolutely insane.
Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, you, and of course, Kylie Minogue,
who we love.
And Rose, we've got a photo here of your childhood bedroom.
And I can't help but wonder, was there
a chance you may have been a fan of Kylie Minogue?
Look at this.
That is a cute little thing.
I don't know what makes you think that.
But yeah, I was like, look at that icon.
Look at her bike shorts.
Like, what an outfit.
I know.
It's like a make-believe.
I'm channeling that tonight.
Look at that.
Yeah, based on this image.
She's still influencing.
She's, yeah.
She's amazing.
She's our national treasure, right, Margot?
Absolutely.
You must have met her, though, Rose.
Have you told her about this junior obsession?
Oh, I, she could not be sweeter.
And I'm still completely starstruck.
I'm just like, oh my god.
Like, I can't keep it together.
She's, I just turned into a 10-year-old girl again.
You know, I dragged my dad to, like, five concerts.
Like, all her tours around Australia.
I, you know.
It was the first concert I ever went to was a Kylie concert.
Get out.
Yeah, drove to Sydney for it.
What, at like 15 or whatever hours it took.
So I think I was, it was the Fever Tour.
So I was 12, drove to Sydney.
First concert I ever went to.
I remember thinking, it was so amazing.
I remember thinking, I think this is the best thing
that will ever happen to me in my life.
I'm pretty sure I've peaked.
I'm 12 and nothing will get better than this.
No, I think you're right.
That is, that's how you feel.
What sort of posters did you have in your room?
I had, do you know what I used to do?
I used to, I don't know if you did this, Rose,
or if all kids did this.
I don't know.
I used to cut out the posters and put it on my,
put on my school books and then you'd like,
would laminate it or whatever you did.
And I had this, I remember in grade five, so I was 10,
I had this picture of Travis Fimmel,
who is an Aussie actor now,
but at the time was a Calvin Klein model,
in a very provocative pose.
And I had it like covering my entire book.
And I remember the teachers were outraged
and told me it was completely inappropriate.
And I remember thinking they were such prudes at the time.
I was like, what is your point?
I do sort of see their point.
Yeah, that's the point, that is the actual photo.
As a, as a 10 year old.
10, too young.
As a 10 year old, I do get that this might be
fractionally advanced.
I do.
I know, I get it, I do.
I'm less shocked that I had that on my book
and more shocked that I was surprised
that they were mad about it.
I was just so like incredulous that they had a problem
with a 10 year old girl having that at school.
I mean, Rose, you were never on Neighbors,
but you did star in a hundred episodes of a soap
that I don't know called Echo Point.
And we were looking at this photo and we were like,
what was, what was her big story arc?
Oh man, yeah.
You're so cute.
No, I played, I played Billy, short for Belinda.
And I had a story arc with my father who was like,
maybe was a murderer or something like that,
but then showed up back in the town.
But we never, we never sadly reached the heights
of Neighbors or Home and Away, another.
Oh, Home and Away.
Yeah, I liked.
Both of these shows still going really strong, by the way.
Yeah.
Oh, Home and Away is huge.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So what was the place called in Home and Away?
Well, there was Lassiter's.
Isn't it Palm Beach?
Is it Palm Beach?
Do you remember the song from Home and Away?
Home and Away was.
You know we belong together.
Is that Home and Away's song?
Yeah.
No matter where you are.
If we're talking about TV shows, by the way,
can I just say.
Summer Bay.
Sorry, sorry.
That's it.
Summer Bay.
Palm Beach is a place on the Gold Coast.
I just watched Gavin and Stacey during lockdown
and it's my favorite show ever.
Oh my God.
I'm like fangirling now.
I know we've already worked together and stuff,
but I'm really fangirling.
Oh my God.
It's the best.
Have you watched it, Rose?
No.
Oh, yeah.
No, have you really?
It was years ago.
Oh, yeah.
Imagine if Rose just went, I have.
I actually thought it was a bit.
I'm not a fan.
Hang on, so was it your,
did your husband introduce you to it?
I'd heard all my English friends talk about it before,
but then it popped up on HBO Max
and I was like, oh, I've always wanted to watch this
and obsessed.
That's made my day.
Bless you both.
Thank you very, very much.
Hey, stick around.
