Vertriding 2.0 - Variety Mountainbiking | VAUDE

Downhill biking usually takes place between the mountain station and the valley station of a cable car. There you get the most downhill meters and don't have to bother for the ascent. Gerhard Senfter, Downhill Racer, Freerider and veteran of the Innsbruck Vertriders scene has to do more preparatory work for his descents and tries to combine the various bike disciplines in the alpine terrain from steep and trail-heavy Vertriding to speedy Freeriding on the trail.

Downhill-Biken findet in der Regel zwischen der Berg- und der Talstation einer Seilbahn statt. Dort bekommt man die meisten Abfahrtsmeter und muss sich für den Aufstieg nicht mühen. Gerhard Senfter, Downhill Racer, Freerider und Urgestein der Innsbrucker Vertriders-Szene muss da schon für seine Abfahrten mehr Vorarbeit leisten und versucht die verschiedenen Bike-Disziplinen im alpinen Gelände vom steilen und traillastigen Vertriden bis zum speedigen Freeriden am Trail zu kombinieren.
