How to destroy your gear | 12 Days Behind Bars (Day 4 of 12)

Well hello and welcome to day four of the 12 Days Behind Bars series. Today is the day we catch up and chase down the Great American Convoy as we leave Sturgis this morning and head to Sioux Falls. We got a little bit of weather that's here so I've got my rain pants on. I'm gonna wait on putting the rain jacket until I actually start feeling some drops but probably gonna get a little soggy today but not too bad. So let's start heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and catch up with that Great American Convoy. Well all right it is a great day to be riding in South Dakota. Getting on the roads so far so good when it comes to the the rain. A little bit of wind today so I'm gonna be tucked behind my windscreen just a little bit but just want to give you an update of what the plan is. So getting into Sioux Falls I'm almost thinking that I would like to sneak up behind the convoy and you know get them all in a line here. I should be able to spot them so I think the plan is going to be that I definitely want to sneak up on the convoy and legitimately chase them down. So that's going to be the plan of action. We're about three hours 43 minutes from Sioux Falls but we will cut up to the north and try to track them down as they are coming from I want to say North Dakota in Fargo. So that's going to be the plan right now. So I am a big believer in surrounding yourself by just good people and hands down the best people that you're ever going to meet is going to be the motorcycle community. I mean you look at what the Great American Convoy is all about and it's a whole bunch of motorcyclists coming together to raise money for a good cause while also participating in the 120th event. You know some of the greatest people I have ever met has been on motorcycles or because I have a motorcycle and a perfect example of this is just last night staying in Sturgis. I met an awesome couple at the when we went into Sturgis about a week early and we stayed in contact. We exchanged numbers, stayed in contact. I let Nikki and Rodney know that I was going to be in town and they invited me over and you know gave me a place to stay for the night. It's absolutely awesome. Just great people but that's going to be the key to today's video and something that you should take away from it. Surround yourself by good people and everything else will fall into place. All right let's go ahead and crush some miles. Okay so normally this is probably the time that I pull over and put on the rest of my rain gear because I've been through enough storms to know that that can't be good. However, I am staying to the right of it and I think we're going to be able to skate along this system to the right side just for a little bit. So that's my thought process right now. I hope it doesn't come back and kick me but that's what we're going to do. So let's continue on to see how far we can get before we have to put the rest of the rain gear on. All right so honestly my luck might have run out because this road is now turning towards the storm. So I'm going to go ahead and get in the rest of my rain gear so I don't have any regrets. We got so lucky This has been a lot of water. This rain gear is all that you first. All my clothes are absolutely soaked from head to toe. This rain gear has got to go. It's garbage. Harley you got to fix this point. So we're still a couple hundred miles away. All sorts of issues right now. I'm not really sure what's going to come of it but I don't think that we're going to make it to the dealership before Adam does. But let's get back on the road. All right so it's 1,848 miles and I finally caught up to the Great American Convoy. Let's go track down Adam. Ryan what's happening baby? 1,848 miles. I'm here to the end. Awesome. God I love you. Love you too. Seriously this is the Great American Convoy. Look at all these people that are here enjoying the Great American Convoy from all over. So we've officially chased down the Great American Convoy. It didn't go exactly how I had planned but that is going to conclude day four of 12 Days Behind Bars.
