Okay, let's pack a bag.
Very cute.
They're still very small.
Hello, I'm Tiffany.
I'm an artist and a small business owner.
I thought I would design some fun stuff today,
and I wanted to bring you guys along for the process.
But before we start, this is the fit.
I got the second hand off of Depop,
this little sweater vest,
inside Uniqlo, skirt Uniqlo,
bunny socks,
my friend got from Japan.
On my chest, I have these two necklaces.
So this is from Bittersweet New York.
And then on the top one,
this one is from Olive,
and the chain is from my mom.
And then earrings,
I have this pair on from July Rose Jewelry.
Bag from Lava Catagrassa.
I got in Italy last year.
This little coffee dog,
perfect for today because we're going to the cafe.
And then a bunch of just like miscellaneous keychains.
I made this one in Italy.
I made this one at home.
It's a Chinese knot.
This one I had since I was in high school.
And a random necklace from Madewell.
And that's the fit.
I'm going to bring my iPad,
my trusty traveler's notebook,
pouch of miscellaneous,
purple wallet,
the best mint on the planet,
little SD card moment,
my headphones.
This is the sound of my breath.
We're going to design some stickers.
And I'm in a cafe.
And I'm scared to talk too loud.
So I hope you can hear me.
ASMR over.
Hello, I came out here because
I was way too intimidated talking there.
It's so quiet.
It feels like a cafe library.
But anyways,
I'm currently working on designing
some new stickers
for my November Patreon page.
I'm going to make miniature journaling stickers.
Just like clear, really really teeny tiny ones.
I've been wanting to try harder
with just like playing with the material more
and just like
making different types of stickers
because I feel like a lot of my stickers
are pretty similar.
It's like the same die cut stickers.
And I don't know.
I just want to keep it a little bit more interesting.
What's going on with my hair?
What is this?
Where's this piece?
Anyways, so I've been getting
into just like
being more playful with my journaling again.
And getting more interested
in like washi tapes
and like cute journaling stickers.
Sticky pads and stuff like that.
I think it's about time
for me to start designing some new ones
to, you know, revamp
up the shop a little bit.
I kind of want to approach it in like maybe a new direction.
So I do need to
experiment more
and also like just like gather more
reference photos of things
that I'm drawn to because I think
as I
shift and grow, my style is also
going to shift and grow.
And so it's always nice to have
some photos to look at of things I like
so that I can kind of hone in
on what that feels like.
But before we start, let's plan everything out.
Sometimes when I get an idea
my brain looks like this
but also like this
and it could even look like this.
My brain typically thinks in a stream
that doesn't like to be disrupted
or I lose my train of thought.
And that's why Milanote has been such a good
way for me to organize all of my initial
thoughts for a creative project.
Thank you Milanote for sponsoring this video.
Since Milanote is an
unstructured workspace, it lets your
ideas grow in whichever way works
for you. But if you also don't know where to
start, Milanote offers more than a
hundred built-in templates to make it
easier for you to get going,
get cracking on that creative work.
And as usual, whenever I add something
new into my workflow, I always
try to find something that creates the
least resistance. Milanote was
so easy to just open up and start
creating. I've been working on a new stationary
line with a million ideas of what
it could be, so I created this board
to help me out put those ideas down.
Just brain dump it all down first
and sort it out later. I added
a rough timeline with the table feature
to keep myself accountable, and because I
made stationary in the past, I wanted
to reference some of my favorite ones.
The stuff I like is a bit different now,
like in terms of the aesthetic,
color palette, etc. So I put
down the vibe that I would like to
bring to the new collection. And to make
it even easier to get things down
fast, they have a tool
called their web clipper that lets
you add reference images to your board
directly without having to screenshot
anything. And I was even able
to put in color swatches
that even tell you the
exact hex code. Lastly,
sketches are so important, and I like
that as I grow the board, I can add
more and more here later on. And
in this corner, I added another board
that connects to my content ideas
for my stationary project. As
someone that juggles all aspects of the business,
I also have to think about marketing.
If you'd like to start organizing on Milanote,
you can use my link in the description
to try it out for free!
Okay, I'm gonna go back in and work now, but
we're gonna color in the sticker sheet.
Hello, Nasally
Tiffany here. I'm now digitizing-
Oh my gosh, it's so hard
to talk when I'm nasally. I'm now
digitizing my sketches in
Procreate. I started off with
a color palette this time just because
I wanna give, like, a different
feel compared to my past work,
but I know it literally
looks pretty similar to what my
usual work looks like.
But I think it takes a long time to shift
the vibe of your work. And so
by, like, choosing the color palette beforehand,
it's helping me stick with
this new palette that I'm uncomfortable with
and that I'm trying out.
And I turned out to really like this color palette.
I chose this one because I wanted
one that was still fun,
but also had some muted colors in it.
Um, I've definitely mastered
the full saturation, vibrant
look. If you scroll down into my
Instagram, you'll see, like, all the
full saturation drawings I've ever
done. Um, and I'm ready to,
like, tone some colors down,
find a good balance in highlighting
one very powerful
color, like the red,
and have some desaturated but
still cute colors, and
also working in some neutrals.
Like, even with the red, I'm going with
like a more orange-toned red
um, just because
I usually lean more towards
the cool-toned reds, but like,
by just shifting it a slight bit,
I don't even know, like, can you notice
a difference? I don't- I don't even know if I noticed
a difference, but it gives, like,
a different feel,
you know? Anyways, enough rambling
about colors. This is a side mission
of what I'm doing.
Hi, good morning.
It's Halloween today.
The past few days have just been
a ton of admin
work. Sometimes,
I wonder
where does all this
admin work come from?
And do I actually need to
do it?
But at the end of the day, I know it's just because
I pushed it all off, and so that's why
I have to do it all at once. And
so it seems like a lot.
This has been my favorite spot,
and the gardeners just came,
so it's nice and clean. But also
they took away my favorite bush.
They did leave one
flower on it, though, so that's very nice.
Hey, hey, hey.
I have some
real cat hair on this little
fluffy thing.
So right now, we're going to
work on stickers
more. In the cafe, I
worked on the sticker sheet.
Very cute.
I think, in
real life, I want
them to be, like, like,
mini, mini stickers.
Like, that big in real life.
Like, small enough where you can put it on your nail.
Not that you're going to put them on your nail.
You could put them on your nail.
It could be a little nail accent if you do your
nails, but I want them to be, like,
super, super small.
I definitely have to go in and, like,
put in cut lines for that later.
And also
ask Sticker App
if that is something that they can do, because
sometimes when it's too small, it might be
an issue. But we also
have this sticker that I'm planning on making. I want to
figure out a way to make it more interesting.
But for right now, I want the
heart to be, like, a metallic
color. Almost like a mirror effect.
So it's, like, holding up a little
mirror. And then it might say,
like, you are cute.
Or something. And then it's going to be
persimmon.
Guys, I'm in full
gremlin mode.
It's so hard to concentrate.
Probably because I had
the most relaxing weekend.
Besides doing, like,
four loads of laundry that I
pushed off for way too long.
But anyways, today, I'm
doing a lot of
just
ideation and brainstorming.
I have all the bits and
pieces it takes, and now it's just
the design process. So gremlin
mode it is. I think I do my
best work when I'm the
most gremlin. So yeah, right now, I'm
just sketching in my sketchbook.
Trying to figure out some ideas.
I can't wait to show these to my patrons.
Because they're the ones that are gonna
choose the
final one that I make. But
I'm working on
brass metal bookmarks
right now.
Still trying to figure out what I want
to make out of it. So I'm just, like,
freehanding, doodling a
bunch of different ones.
And then
we'll just see which one sticks.
My brain's still a little sleepy. I have to make an afternoon
matcha to keep myself awake.
Oh, when'd you get here?
I have an audience.
My cat's been watching
me the whole time.
Bruh,
my leather, your nail.
Let's get working, Percy. Don't
distract me. I also started using Pomodoro
again, because accountability.
Yeah.
It works well.
Hi. I've been
sketching up a storm. And the
more I sketch, the more ideas I have.
And it's kind of hard
to stop. Like, I'm very ambitious with
this set. I... I don't know.
So, I want to make
metal bookmarks. I want to make stamps.
I want to make sticker sheets.
I want to make washi tape.
I want to make, like, steel clips.
I want to make post-it notes.
I love the
ideation phase and the sketching phase.
Like, this is, like, the part where
I feel the most hyped. But then I
realize I cannot simply
make every single thing that I want to make.
At least, not all at once,
because then...
I think it would take forever before I can
release any of this. I don't know.
I'm trying to figure out what I want to make
and how many I want to make of each.
So, for the metal bookmarks,
it's like... I feel like this
could be pretty straightforward.
I could knock this out pretty fast.
I think my main issue is probably
going to be the sticker sheets, because
each sticker sheet has so
many different designs on it that that
one will take a lot longer.
Stamps will be fine. I don't know.
I don't know! But anyways, here.
Let me update you on what I've been making.
This is the metal bookmarks that I have
so far.
Here are some of
the stamps.
And then I still have yet
to draw in the washi tape,
the post-it notes, the sticker sheets.
And I'm also
feeling a little lost, because I don't really have
a specific theme for this stationery
set, other than a vibe.
And even with the
vibe, I feel like I'm just gravitating
towards how I usually
draw anyways, so I need to figure out
how I can implement that vibe
back in.
You know?
So, over here, I was trying
very hard to
make a more
refined drawing from my
really small thumbnail sketches.
And I always, always have this
issue, but every single time,
I always end up liking
my initial thumbnail teeny-tiny
rough sketches,
because there's a looseness
to it that I cannot replicate
for the life of me when I try to refine
it more. And so, this is my attempt
of literally just sizing it
up and trying to make it
look better.
But ultimately, I wasn't
too happy with the way it was looking.
And so, when I
did go in
to refine it,
I ended up preferring just
taking a photo of the initial rough
sketch and tracing
it on my iPad instead of
starting over traditionally
in my sketchbook. And it always
ends up this way. I always feel like
maybe it will work out differently this time.
But I'm kind of glad I went back to those
sketches, because the
final, more refined drawing
of it is something that I
like a lot better.
And yeah, I put it into Illustrator and
tried on a brass little
image behind my sketches
to give the feel and vibe.
And then I looked out my window,
saw the most beautiful sunset, and I just
had to run outside with my camera
and take some photos.
It's so
cold.
I've been pretty sick the past few days.
So I've just been
taking the time to
rest, get better.
I'm pretty sure I have the cold.
Lots of congestion going on
right now.
But I want to start getting
a little bit back into work,
because there are some things that I need to get
done.
So, that's what this
attempt is.
So these are my postcards
for November.
I personally
really love these
sketchbook spread
prints. There's just something about
it that's just more raw.
I'm not going to open now.
Don't want to contaminate them with my
germs. Also,
I don't know if I updated you on the stickers
that I was designing.
So, let me show you those.
So there was a little bit of back and forth
with sticker art to get this done, but
our first sticker design
that I made was this one.
The hot pink part is going to be
mirror, so. I know I kind of like
the hot pink, but like
yeah, this will be a mirror
effect, like she's holding a mirror up.
And then I made this little sticker
sheet. There needed to be some adjustments
with the cut lines and stuff.
They just started printing them.
I'll probably get them in maybe next week sometime.
But right now
I feel like this.
True what they say about the apple and the tree.
Thank you!
That was great, right?
Low key, when I said that I'm going to start
working again and get cracking,
I lied.
Because it's two days later, and I'm still
sick, and I still feel like I can
barely function.
So I caved. I got some medicine.
I honestly thought
that I could just ride
it out, but it's
day seven, and I need
help. I got
two things that I heard
are really helpful for
colds. So I got some
cold remedy,
and I got a
propolis spray.
And this should help me.
And if it doesn't,
then we'll figure it out as we go.
But I, at this point,
I'm all for
taking care of my body and resting
to get better,
but I got things to do.
I also ordered
hand cream, because
my hands are so dry.
Vegas winter.
No joke.
I got two
different hand creams. That's so funny.
There was a sale.
I gave in to the sale.
Okay.
Every two to three hours,
I'm supposed to just
let it dissolve in my mouth.
A little fluffy.
Alright. Wish me luck.
Mmm.
It's elderberry flavor.
Ugh.
I'm checking back in.
I think these are working.
These right here,
I edited this entire vlog.
I'm not done yet, but
I did a lot more than I've done
in the past seven days.
And I think it's because of this.
I'm about to take my third one.
Maximum
take seven a day.
Cheers.
I feel alive again.
Oh my gosh.
I'm alive.
I was on a little sketch grind,
and
I got a little bit more
done. Sticker sheets still
need a lot of work, but
I got some washi tape designs
out. I kind of wanted
just like a more simple design.
In the past, I've done
designs that were a bit more
not intricate, but they're
like, they weren't just
shapes.
Like they had, I think I had
a garden washi tape, and it was just
gardening tools and the clouds
and stuff like that. But I kind of really like
the ones that are really simple
and it's just more of like a symbol
or a motif and something like that.
So I think it would be cool if I had one
that was more fun
with like a caterpillar,
some rocks, and clovers,
and then this one will be like a star
one.
And then for the post-it
notes, I'm really liking this one.
This is just like a giant rock,
and this is the part that you can write on. And then on
the side, it's just clovers and grass
and like little decorative
foliage. Besides that,
I really like this flower one and this
bow tie one. And for the
sticker sheets, I don't really know exactly
what it's going to look like. I have some
sketches of like, oh maybe one is
like a calendar. So like little calendar
stickers with like all the numbers.
And then like one with the months of the year,
and like little
important bookmark stickers
that you can put in your journal.
And then one that's purely just
illustrations on it I think will be fun.
And if I have the bandwidth,
a numbers and letters sticker
sheet. I'm gonna eventually
ask my patrons what they think
and have them vote on these.
And then I'm gonna
work on, I guess like
finalizing the
products. But that'll be in a
later video.
My cat is chilling right here.
Oh. It's like she
can just like sense your presence, like
you watching her.
Good morning.
My voice is a
little weird today. But
I didn't realize the stickers
were also gonna show up so early.
I'm kinda scared.
Okay.
Slight,
slight differences
to what I was expecting.
Am I mad about it?
Not really. I think they're still
really cute. I think
I ordered these stickers
a tiny bit too big. You know how
I wanted them to be like really, really small
stickers? They're still
very small. But they're
not as small as I
anticipated them to be.
I think I wanted them to be like half this
size, but you know
this is still really cute.
But yeah, these are transparent stickers so when you
like put them over other stuff
it'll be transparent.
This is like 6x5. That's like
30 stickers on one sheet.
Percy's here to explore.
She loves it when I'm opening
things.
And also for this one, I
definitely
expected the heart to be
like a silver mirror.
I'm not mad
at the pink. Honestly, after I
ordered it in silver, I think I
kinda regretted it because the pink looks so
cute. But it's also giving
Valentine's Day. It'll be Valentine's
Day in November. Anyways,
if you want to get these,
these are November's Patreon
rewards.
I would definitely
cop this one because
I don't do this often. And this
is essentially 30 stickers.
Right? They should
go check out Patreon for the
stickers. Anyways,
I'm gonna cut the vlog here
so that I can continue
resting. And if you haven't,
please subscribe. Stay tuned
because I wanna make more stationary
stuff. And
you can see the progress of all of that
if you stick around.
So...
Bye!
Percy! Say bye!
