"Come behind the scenes of my first pointe class EVER as an adult beginner ballerina. In this episode of the Dance Diaries, I'm giving you ALL the details from figuring out how to sew my first pair of pointe shoes, to my first ballet class on pointe shoes at 30 years old!

The truth is, learning to dance en pointe is really challenging, and it's been a true test of my mental strength. Especially leaning pointe as an adult, it's been extra difficult to go through this whole ballet journey without a consistent guide. This adult point class in nyc was incredible because it took me out of my comfort zone.

As an adult ballerina in NYC, it's hard not to compare myself to the rest of incredibly talented ballet dancers here. I get really emotional in this ballet vlog because of the pressure so many of us face as adult beginners to ""catch up"" to everyone else. "
