RV Camping at Sun Peaks & Summit Lake Park, BC

In Part 1 of our Canadian Rockies road trip, we travel in our Roadtrek Zion campervan to Sun Peaks Resort near Kamloops and enjoy spectacular hiking among endless flowers, then head to Summit Lake in the Kootenays where Gordon goes for a peaceful paddle.

Directions for our Sun Peaks loop hike:
Take the Sunburst Express chairlift then follow trail #9 (Gll’s trail), taking the right fork at trail #7 (West Bowl) to Tod Lake, then follow trail 11 to Tod Peak. Return by retracing your steps on trail #11 down from the peak, then turn right and continue on trail 11 until the intersection with trail 7 (West Bowl). Turn right here, then take the left fork to trail #10 (West Ridge). Turn right when you reach the road and follow trails #5 (Top of the World) and #2 (Crystal Bowl Loop) back down to the Sunburst Express.
