Taking care of your calligraphy brush is important to have it last. The brush is the connecting point between your mind and the paper, so it is important to have it at a prestine stage. Brushes don't last forever, but they can last a long time when proper care is given.

When the bristles can't hold their shape anymore, start to come loose, and the brush feels weak, means it is time to replace it. Now, never throw an old brush away! Simply put it to rest in a safe place, or leave it hanging somewhere where it can be displayed.
