Where to Scuba Dive in Cozumel (ULTIMATE DIVE GUIDE)

world renowned as some of the best scuba diving today we're gonna explore the two diving options you have on cozumel shore and boat shore diving is a more affordable option that allows you to explore the local reefs and habitats if you're looking for a little more adventure and have a little more dinero to spend a boat is the way to go we know you're excited to get in the water so let's jump in we're gonna start here at tequila restaurant and bar and go show our diving come along with us you wanna go for a dive with us man let's get geared up so we can get down we'll be back in a let's go blow some bubbles [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] wow that was so great i i mean i don't really know what i was expecting but i wasn't expecting it to be that good me neither the water clarity is so good they have an artificial reef that they're caring for while we're down there jacques cousteau and sylvia earl i mean what else could you possibly want on your diet if you have all of your equipment it's only ten dollars per tank did you say ten dollars and that includes your weight if you don't have your equipment you pay thirty dollars for full equipment so that would be forty dollars total for your first dive and then if you want to dive again it'd be 10 extra dollars for another tank so 50 for two dives with full equipment that sounds pretty good to me i mean are we not in cozumel one of the premier dive destinations in the world fifty dollars for two dives sign us up oh wait we already signed up what's also really nice about this is these are shallow dives so if you have not been in the water for a while this is a great place to come and refresh yourself with a buddy there are a lot of advantages to shore diving but there is a limitation you're not gonna have access to the second biggest reef in the world that reef is gonna be home to things like turtles dolphins sharks lots of animals that you just don't see in the shallow water this was great we had a wonderful time and it was beautiful but if you want to be a little more adventurous if you want to see what cozumel is known for you have to get out on a boat tomorrow we're going to hop on a boat and head to the south of the island to go on an underwater adventure you're not going to want to miss oh that sounds great come along with us we're back and totally excited to take you diving today it's a little early for that hey don't curl my vibe man so let's lock up pop on the bike and head down to the dive shop we'll see you there let's go we're going diving hey that guy just cut me off he totally did it on porpoise [Music] we've arrived let's head into the dive shop let's go [Music] we chose to go with scuba life cozumel yeah there are a ton of different outfitters on the island but this one checked all of our boxes when it comes to safety standards client satisfaction and ease of booking they have an online portal where you can book all your dives and pay via paypal which is super nice especially during these times they're trying to minimize contact they let you fill out all your paperwork online before you get here so basically you show up they check your name off you hop on the boat and you get ready to go diving to tank boat dive here at scuba life costs 89 us dollars and that includes your taxes your marine park fee your fins your mask and your weight and your weights if you need to rent full equipment it's 30 or they rent separate pieces for 10 each we always travel with our own mass snorkels and computers not only does it save us money but nothing will ruin your dive more than having a fogged up or misfitting mask we'll put a link in the description to our favorite equipment down below the main advantage of diving from a boat is being able to dive in the cozumel national reef park which is a protected marine park here in cozumel this all takes place on the mesoamerican reef the second biggest wreath in the world it spans all the way from mexico down to honduras and has over 250 species of fish here just in kazamal that's fishtastic it looks like everybody's on the boat and we're ready to go come along i cannot wait to get underwater good morning [Music] [Music] they provide bananas after the dive so you don't get cramps you got me some cookies yeah oh where's the combination i'm a kaminata guy i like a little bit of everything this is awesome you get a little cold after your dive and they provide you with a robe i feel like i'm going in for a prize fight you better watch out barracuda i'm coming for you wow that dive was fantastic and we didn't even get wrecked i've been on a lot of wrecks and that one is top-notch knowing the history just makes it that much better this boat was built in 1944 as a minesweeper it was in world war ii that's crazy i mean that's crazy and then in the 60s the mexican navy bought it and repurposed it as a gun ship used in the gulf in the caribbean and it was decommissioned and donated to the cozumel reef park here and sunk in 1999. it's become such an incredible artificial reef and thank you for staying close to us i had a girlfriend once that we lobster on a dive and we never flounder help me if one another i might wander from time to time he's a wanderer we've done a lot of diving and when you come to a place like this and the reef and the fish and the visibility all come together it's a
