Mars Retrograde 2024: The Slow Burn
Laurie and Jennie discuss the upcoming Mars retrograde, as it reverses course in Leo and travels backwards into Cancer. The Mars station arrives in the midst of Sagittarius season and adds to a general feeling of slowing down, unpredictability, and reactivity over the course of the next few months. In this video, we cover the meaning of Mars in the chart, retrogrades, the whole cycle, the aspects to outer planets, individual impacts based on your Rising (or Sun) sign, and more. This retrograde has special meaning on the personal level because Leo and Cancer are ruled by the Sun and Moon respectively and will activate the areas in your natal horoscope that are connected to your personal Sun and Moon. The retrograde period lasts 2 1/2 months, with impacts lasting up to 7 months. This is an important time to question your motives, commit to emotional work that perhaps you'd rather avoid, and pay close attention to inner battles. As you do, you stand to be rewarded with a renewed clarity of purpose, stronger connections with those around you, and a better understanding of how to manage stress.
