Well, it's a great moment for a young man.
It's two number 26's and you will not find an older and a younger person.
Gordon Strachan's coming on and this is Frank Lampard.
He's certainly got the Frank Lampard eyes and the nose.
I'm sure Frank won't mind me saying it's a little straighter.
First challenge he wins.
About an hour and a half before the game, sitting in the V7.
I couldn't really believe it. I was sitting there shaking for about half an hour.
It was nice.
Has your dad said anything to you yet?
I just had a quick word with him. He just said well done.
He'd have a chat. He'd tell me what I've done wrong when I come on and when I get home.
Bercovich's replacement will be young Frank Lampard.
He's still got a quarter of the game in which to make an impact.
Birdie down to Reaper.
To Hartson.
Here's Kitson.
Here is Lampard getting his profound spilt soap.
Hughes.
Lazaridis arriving outside of him.
And here's Lampard.
Oh, he's scored.
Scored within a minute of coming on.
Hartson picks this one up.
Dowey will stay with it.
Bercovich, can he turn?
He's knocked it back again.
And it's two.
The shreds there.
19 years old.
Here's Hartson now.
Goal midway through the second half.
It looked like the Hammers were heading for at least a share of the points.
The Leeds hit back.
And ceremoniously put out of play by Steve Nicholson.
But Paul Kitson seemed to have a clear opening.
And now there's an opening for Lampard.
It's taken three minutes and 50 seconds for West Ham to find a way through.
Weak corner straight to Appleby.
Not over yet.
Potts finds Lazaridis.
Right on this side is West Ham captain for the day, Unsworth.
One of whom is a boo.
Still a boo.
Now Bercovich again.
Leicester players scurrying to try and get back and make the challenge.
Lampard shots!
Well, Casey Keller has ended up tangled up in the net.
But Frank Lampard, who hasn't scored for the best part of four months,
has ended that.
...deficit from the first leg,
but the heralded return of Upton Park legend Julian Dix.
The game, unfortunately, was no classic.
And an organised Northamptonside held their first-leg lead
for the majority of the tie,
only conceding a last-minute goal to Frank Lampard.
...might even come to Frank Lampard here, Bercovich.
It is Lampard.
Oh, yes!
What a shot!
And what a goal.
Casey Keller deceived...
...feel West Ham today, but they're putting it together here.
A neat touch to Sinclair.
De Canio has to win it back, though.
Sinclair and De Canio playing. Neat one-two.
Sinclair, if he can pull it back.
And Lampard's in there!
Frank Lampard tucks it away.
That's his third goal of the season.
Neat play between Sinclair and De Canio.
Looked as though, for a moment,
Sinclair had wasted the opportunity when De Canio found him.
But in the end...
...quite sure how this one's going to be taken.
Lampard's free kick in the second half,
which eventually...
West Ham playing fairly centrally.
Good interception here.
Lampard tries something long distance!
Oh, what a goal!
What a goal by Frank Lampard!
Well, he scored at Helsinki.
Really, I can't remember such a...
De Canio has Lampard with him.
Chips one in looking for him.
Sherwood did well to pick it up. One shot.
Little touch for De Canio.
Ball into Lampard!
That's West Ham ahead!
With a brilliant touch.
Chance whatsoever.
Right on the stroke of half.
Mark Keller was actually part of the Karlsruhe side,
the German club,
that beat Metz in the UEFA Cup a couple of years ago.
It's not always a lucky omen for West Ham
as they try to make the UEFA Cup.
And Lampard releasing Carlo De Canio.
Going to Toye with Toyez here.
He's got his cross in!
Frank Lampard!
2-0 to West Ham!
And a place in the UEFA Cup!
A great night and a great performance.
And personally for you,
having not put the penalty away at home,
it must have been a relief.
And of course you had a good game out there too.
Yeah, sure. No, it was good.
I mean, disappointment with that.
We remained confident.
And I obviously had a little score to settle.
And went there and got quite an important second goal.
Which made it quite comfortable for us.
Lampard shows that the European stage is one
he can dance on effectively.
Kitschmeyer didn't go himself.
Looks towards one shot.
Here's Frank Lampard!
Scoresheet after a long absence in league football.
His last goal in the Premier League.
Well played.
Trying to peel away from Barry.
And it's Worthington can run.
On the far side.
Di Canio.
Well played.
And Frank Lampard!
Some applause there for the travelling support.
And he's got about six minutes left to try to...
Di Canio...
Moncure, Lomas.
Into Frank Lampard!
Great chance for West Ham.
It's 1-1.
Good response from the visitors.
Good looking cross.
Lomas completely miscued Lampard!
It's always a question now of how it could come to Lampard.
First time cross which nearly dropped for Di Canio.
He's got camera with him.
Oh, it's right across for Lampard!
Frank Lampard hits his third of the season.
Outside.
Joe Cole in possession for West Ham.
Canute.
Good run inside for Lampard.
A lot of room.
Good chance.
Simple goal.
It's 3-0 here last season for the Amish.
And this is Di Canio, one of the scorers.
Oh, great ball for Cole.
And look, chance now for Lampard!
And it's there!
17 minutes.
Di Canio.
And there was Lampard running through.
As he does, he goes in from midfield.
Nobody picked him up.
The West Ham supporters there cheering.
Their goal, their first goal after 17 minutes.
Lampard makes it.
Chance for Lampard.
This time!
Lampard!
Instead it's chipped in for Stimac.
Off the post.
Lampard!
What a goal!
West Ham have two in eight minutes.
Kudmuster was a penalty from Frank Lampard.
Promoted to spot kicker in captain Di Canio.
