hey! This week's been a chill one, moving is tiring me at the moment, I think I've been spending too much time in cities etc... luckily St Tropez calms me down a lot :) Here's a little insight into a more casual day! love u xoxoxox
Good morning my wonderful friends. Today I'm going to show you what it's like to
live in a car park in a van. I've stayed in many car parks, this one
is my favourite because, um, you could probably guess it, I'm in
Saint-Tropez. Now let me show you what it's like living in a car park.
Okay, first thing's first, we're gonna make the bed.
Okay, just because we live in a car park doesn't mean we don't have standards,
right? So I'm just gonna, that's a very poor excuse, I've ditched the top layer,
you know that pink fluffy blanket doesn't exist. Don't buy a pink fluffy blanket
while sleeping in a van. I could have told myself that but I didn't listen to me, so listen to me.
We're definitely in a car park. My parents have actually come to visit me the last few days.
It's been very nice, I haven't seen them in a while but they wanted to come down for, um,
for the Nice carnivals. There's like loads of carnivals this time of year
at all the different towns along the coast, so they're kind of here for that for a little bit.
There are so many people here and I hate waking up to people here but wait for it,
you'll see why I'm parked here in a second. It's really cool.
Lately, I've been really getting into colouring books. I love to wake up in the morning and do
a bit of colouring. Okay, call me a child but look at my cockerel. Isn't she a baddie? I haven't
finished her yet. I mean, it's really peaceful to do in the morning. I'm really trying to get
into a more peaceful van life vibe at the moment because, oh my lord, I've been very burnt out from
finding places to park, um, especially at the moment. They seem to be, like, cutting off all
of the good spots. I don't know what is going on. I'm not happy about it but I have found some good
ones still but everywhere along the coast is, like, been crazy the last few weeks. I'm going
to show you. I've been staying along all these coastal roads and the winds is flipping the
straw here. It's, like, pretty much a storm of just wind, like, really intense, really, really,
really strong wind. The van's been, like, shaking at night. It's been really hard to sleep and now
my back hurts a lot. So, back in Saint-Tropez because, well, I can guarantee a good time here.
I've stayed here a few nights. My parents are here as well and it's just, oh, it feels like a holiday.
It feels like, oh, it feels amazing. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
This has been such a good morning. My little vintage set, my pink, the sea, Saint-Tropez,
the sun. This is what I signed up for when I signed up for a van like this. This piece, even
though I'm in a car park and every time I want to go outside there's, like, five people getting out
their car, like, and I'm, like, and they're, like, and I'm, like, and then we just part ways.
Okay, first car park duty, bins, and then we're gonna go to the laundrette.
Let's take on the day. Come with me.
Great, we have guests coming with us.
Hello.
Washing day. Washing day.
Best day ever. So excited. This is going to be very frustrating.
Okay, let's go. Oh, there's loads. I've never been to this one before.
Okay, I made it to Wonderland. Very excited. My 30 degree wash.
These little stupid machines. I hate them so much. They always confuse me.
You ready? There's too many instructions. I don't like it.
Problem is, every time you go to a laundrette, every single one is, like, entirely different.
Oh, this one's gonna be number two. This one's gonna be number five. Yeah, feel that?
Okay, so I'm paying, and then it's number four.
Good advice. Okay, washing is in. Why am I wearing sunglasses? I'm a dwarf.
Washing is in. Now I'm getting food because Yabach is hungry.
This is the life, isn't it? Sitting on a curb, watching washing being done.
Why? You won't eat your food, and yet you're telling me off because I won't share my food.
Good girl, Gigi.
I have waited so long for organic berries. I'm so happy. Okay, what do we want to grill?
Corn feed, I can do with that, actually. Yeah. Okay, let's go see if the laundry's ready. It
always takes so long, honestly. Yay. Sounds strange. What are you doing here? I know.
Hi, doggies. Hi, Gigi. It's all done? Yeah. Oh, thanks for picking it up.
Great, great, great.
Look at the sunset.
This is just, this is perfect. This is amazing. I'm so relaxed. Old music, raspberries.
This view. This van. Might cook some dinner. Not sure yet. I was going to grill something outside,
but I left it too late, and now, well, now it's too dark. What a great evening.
And I have clean clothes. I can't ask for more than that.
Okay, slight change of plans. I'm going to drive to Nice now with my parents. We're going to go,
I want to go to this carnival festival thing. I was going to stay here, but classic late night
adventure. I swear, every time I leave Nice, I'm like, I am never going back there. I hate driving
around Nice. The streets are too small. There's too many people. It is actually horrible. A
horrible, horrible place to drive through. And every time I go back, I swear it will be the
last time. Every time. In my freaking fringe cut, man. I've got my hair booked in for Friday here,
but oh shit, that is not pretty. That is not good. Oh God. Okay, let's just go. Let's go.
Bye, car park. Thank you. You were sweet to stay in. Okay, so they won't accept my card at this
petrol station, so I'm just using their windscreen thing to get all the salt off my
windows. And it is working rather wonderfully. Sexy. Get it off. Oh, fuck. That's so gross.
And it now looks like a van again. Oh God. Oh, that was a really bad idea. Oh no.
Look at the black. Well, at least I can see out the windscreen. That's an improvement, right?
We found a water thing, so just fill up on water as well. This is quite a good stop, actually.
Okay, he looks confused. Pressing all the buttons. Nothing's happening.
Okay, so this machine, right? It's a whole water filling machine. That is the pipe to fill up
your van with. This. This blue one. And you see this? This is to put your toilet
waste in. It's basically the clean water pipe rests in the grimy toilet
place. Also, it doesn't even work. These never work on motorways. They just don't.
Even if you get the token and everything, they're just a very, very bad design. Whoever designed
this, you did a bad job. Okay, having to find an alternative way to fill up water.
There's a little tap around the back. Okay, filling her up.
Okay, here's where I'm parked tonight. Okay, so just the other side of this van.
And that is the sea, so I think it's gonna be a really nice place to wake up to.
It is literally 3 a.m. right now. Van life is just chaotic. Pure
chaos. But yeah, I suppose I'm in a different car park now instead, but this is still the car park
experience. Except if I stayed in the other car park, I would have cars playing loud music
around my van, which is always the case in kind of big car parks. People always just turn up with
like really bassy music and just like next to a van. And you kind of just have to listen to it
for a few hours until it slowly makes its way into your dreams. I have no idea what it's gonna
look like in the morning, but it looks pretty, pretty sexy, so I'll see you later. There are so
many people just chilling. It's not fun to open the door to. Okay, we're just gonna vibe with it.
It's so cute. What? It is glorious here. What a parking space. Cheers. This is such an epic
parking space. I don't really want to ever leave it. There's a little beach below, which is so nice.
I'm vibing with it, let's just say. I don't really know what to do now. I might go and see if I can
go to this festival thing in the evening. I literally don't know. I need to go to a cafe.
I need to find wi-fi somewhere, which is a great task, but as exciting as today is gonna be.
I will see you next week. Thank you so much for always watching. I love you a lot.
