hi I'm Jen malan and welcome to come
home you know there was a f famous line
let me see if you can guess who said it
she said and it's not a Bible character
okay just so you can shift into that
zone she said there's no place like home
there's no place like home do you know
who it is of course you do I'll age
myself but I used to watch The Wizard of
Oz when it would come on public
television once a year and I would have
to do all my homework and all my chores
so that I could watch The Wizard of Oz
Willy Wonka in the Chocolate Factory
sound of music do you remember those
days we didn't have phones and computers
and 7,000 channels but I always love the
story of Dorothy trying to find her way
home and you know this program is called
come home because I want to help you
find your way back home whether that's
accepting Christ for the first time
accepting Jesus as your lord and savior
or whether that's rededicating your life
which I did in Spring of 1990 through
Christian television in fact this very
Network I came home I I repeated a
prayer and I came back to the kingdom of
God with all of my heart or whether
coming home is just understanding who
you are in Christ understanding your
assignment your destiny your identity
and so my job is to bring you fresh Vo
Glory filled voices Kingdom voices
influencers that are going to help you
in your journey God's so good to us he
doesn't leave us alone he's an
everpresent help and he is always trying
to leave breadcrumbs on the trail to get
us back to the Father's Heart back in
the Huddle of the Trinity back to where
we belong I have an incredible guest
today his name is Jared Ellis
he comes from a very distinguished
family in fact his family has a
household name and he has spent his life
at the feet of Grace learning he is an
accomplished attorney he is an
influencer a podcaster a minister a
family man a servant he is a friend of
God and we're going to hear about his
life Impressions that were made and just
his incredible story also maybe a little
bit about the new love of his life um
someone that's uh not a stranger to come
home in fact she's an incredible friend
so will you stay tuned and help me
welcome Jared Ellis before we do we're
going to go to Rabbi Kurt Schneider and
he has something very powerful to
say when I finished writing my newest
book a journey into Divine love a
revelation of the song of songs I never
felt so good after finished writing a
book I've written 12 books so far and
this book gave me the most satisfaction
out of any book that I've written even
though I loved all the books that I've
written I really do I love I love them
all but there was something about the
completion of this book that was just
different and I think the reason is
because my own connection to the
revelation of the song of songs which
often times referred to as the song of
Solomon is so personal the
Lord transformed my life through the
song of songs he brought me into a
revelation of how beautiful he is and
how beautiful I am to him he brought me
into that Revelation like no other book
in the Bible had done don't
misunderstand me I'm not putting this
book above the other books in the Bible
I'm just saying that this book the song
of songs has a unique anointing in it to
bring us into the intimacy and rivers of
God's love for us you see the song of
songs which is a poetic love dialogue
between King Solomon and his bride the
shulamite bride is actually prophetic in
nature it's actually a love dialogue
between God and his people between Jesus
and the church the Bible tells us in the
Book of Revelation chapter 19 that the
climax of our Salvation takes place in
what is known as the marriage supper of
the Lamb think about it our relationship
our Union with God is best described as
a marriage union he in us and Us in him
and in my book a journey into Divine
love I go into the depths and the
fullness of what this marriage Union
that we have with mesiah is really about
I also love that the song of songs
brings us on a journey from what
immature love looks like to what mature
love looks like many of us when we first
came to know the Lord we were so
emotionally in love it with him it was
such a special season but as then his
life went on some of that first love
began to wne I help you to understand in
my book a journey into Divine love why
that is and what God is calling us to as
he's maturing you and I my beloved
friend into Divine love you don't want
to neglect this book it's one of the
most important books in the world of God
I really encourage you to give yourself
devotedly to receiving What the Lord Has
for you in the song of songs once again
often times referred to as the Song of
Solomon I hope you'll get my book I
think it'll help you and be a blessing
well today I have a very special guest
and he is the son of alveda King and the
great nephew of Dr Martin Luther King Jr
it's such an honor today to have you
Jared Ellis thank you thank you it's an
honor well before we dive into this I
will say that if you haven't seen the
programs I've done too with the precious
powerful Southern bell conservative
prolife amazing Alva King you can go to
CTN online.com go to the on demand
section go on our app go to the YouTube
channel and you can watch those programs
they're very powerful but how wonderful
to be raised with your mom and in the
king Legacy indeed indeed what was that
like wow I tell you it was uh it was a
really rich um experience um I I I have
the honor and uh and the privilege quite
honestly to be raised very closely I'm
at the knee of Dr Martin Luther King Sor
uh Dr King Junior's father yeah and uh
was raised really in his house primarily
uh we had a large extended family uh all
of my uh uh uh cousins and and aunts
were within a fivemile radius wow and so
it was really again we went to church
together we ate after church together we
saw each other throughout the week so
you know it's just a very very a a rich
family uh structure uh that we had and
and um and being raised with with daddy
king yeah as he was known uh was at once
a living history lesson and U and a
living exhortation um into the The King
Family Legacy which is translating the
gospel into the Public Square yes right
living the gospel not only at home uh
but in Civic life as well and you
probably as a as a young boy and
Adolescent maybe didn't even realize
um some of the Impressions or the
responsibilities or um just
the just the the awe uh that you're and
the pedestal that so many people put
your family on and I'm I'm sure there's
a lot of pressure living up to that once
you realized um how the public viewed
your family well you know it's
interesting there was sort of I guess a
double perspective
I was the the literal baby of the the
family and so um I I was the first great
grandchild so literally the first in my
generation and the only uh for a number
a number of years and so certainly there
was this protective Instinct that all of
the other family members had you know
wanted me to have a a happy and normal
childhood right but at the same time the
family was so very much involved again
in in in in in following daddy King's uh
uh lead particularly after the boss of
uh of Uncle LEL as we all called him and
my own grandfather ad uh daddy king
really impressed upon us uh the absolute
um necessity of being faithful to God's
call God's call on the on the line and
so you know uh we were very much aware
uh that we were carriers of the same
calling wow and again it it wasn't about
social activism that's a misperception
that um that I I I like to take take on
um again it was translating the gospel
into the Public Square um it was a
living faith that was meant to transform
uh the city and the nation in which we
live in yeah I appreciate that you are
bringing Clarity to the Family Mission
and the family calling and and I've
listened to you know your podcasts and
you have this um your heart is is such
is you're such a servant leader and you
position other servant leaders and that
is influence not to mention that you're
an incredible prayer Warrior and
intercessor and you love and value the
the cultural mountains that are so
pertinent right now in this dispensation
of grace before Jesus returns you again
revisiting this idea um that that dror
King was primarily a civil rights leader
or a social activist um that want has
been a moment you know unpacking that
unpacking that just a bit uh it's all
very clear and Apparent from his
readings um there there's a lot of
co-opting right yeah with that Legacy on
the on the left um and it's it's
misplaced and it's Mis it's misleading
by Dr King's own words he saw himself as
a minister of the Gospel um he was quite
content to minister um as a as a as a
preacher right just just ministering to
his own flock until he received a call
calling to raise a prophetic voice yes
and by prophetic if we look at the Old
Testament prophets we see that uh
prophets were uh were God's
spokespersons uh translators and
mediators of the of the Covenant if you
look at Moses as an example but always
those who spoke to the nation of Israel
yeah spoke to the conscience of the
nation and advocated and demanded
righteousness calling the nation to
righteousness calling the nation to
living out uh the kingdom principles
that God wrote Into the torat yeah okay
we see then uh in Ephesians 4 that
Christ constitutes five Ministry gifts
for the edification of the church one of
those is the prophet yeah but apart from
the office of the Prophet The Gift of
prophesying and that is again speaking
to the nation calling the nation to
Godliness calling the nation to live
according to Kingdom
principles is it belongs to all of us as
Christians and so the best way
understand Dr King is one in whom God
raised a prophetic voice to speak to the
conscience of this nation to call this
nation back to God yeah to call this
nation to be reconciled to God and then
through uh following the reconciliation
of the nation to God right then to
reconcile the citizens of the nation to
one
another around Godly Kingdom principles
that was that was the calling that he
that he answered he did so reluctantly
but uh from his own writings he said
listen when I see suffering when I see
uh uh uh Injustice and he and he spoke
of Injustice in biblical terms right
right uh when I see partiality as as
James mentions um in his letter yeah
right um where God is no respector of
persons but we're all made in the image
and likeness of God and so it is a
grievous sin right to show partiality to
one whom Miss maybe lesser position
doesn't have the same uh money or status
or what have you we're called to glorify
God by again recognizing the dignity in
each of us who carries God's Own image
and likeness and so Dr King said look I
I can't be silent that's I look at at
our our our tradition as Christians and
I see that we were World Changers the
original Christians brought an end to
infanticide they brought an end to the
gladiatorial games they did so in the
name of Jesus Christ Dr King saw and
heard an irresistible call to raise his
voice to call this nation to Kingdom
principles yeah and yeah that's that's
that's the way to understand Dr King's
Legacy and it's it's h it remains our
our challenge uh and our task and our
burden today as modern Christians um
we'll talk a little bit more uh what we
face is a little bit different right I
think the challenges are greater but
again understanding Dr King is one who
answered a prophetic call yeah and
understanding that we in this generation
are under the same Duty and obligation
to respond to God's prophetic call to
this generation is really the heartbeat
of uh of of of of my uh my message he
was a a John the Baptist that was saying
prepare ye the way and he did the
ultimate thing uh not by choice but he
certainly was very well aware of the
fact that every time he opened his mouth
there was a threat that he would be
killed absolutely he was bold he was
courageous he didn't back down by the
intimidation um or the nonsense of the
day and I you know know I know sometimes
we say and and it's not a Biblical
phrase but we say sometimes they just
don't make them like that anymore but
the thing is they do amen um they do for
for those that will pick the mantle up
amen and in your life I see um just from
the very little that I know and
appreciate is that you like Elisha you
know picked up the mantle and you are
continuing the message with more
knowledge more Authority more anointing
more glory and you have prepared
yourself through educ the education
Mountain through the law degree through
working in Corporate America through
being a family man through ministering
all you you God's used you in all these
different um places and mountains of
influence and now he's giv you this
podcast yes which is another way that
you are um screaming the mountain or
Screaming the message from The
Mountaintop so tell us about the podcast
and how God said to do it and how he's
using it amen thank you so much well the
podcast is Christ on the Mountaintop and
uh it's a little bit of a a play on Dr
King's last speech been to the
Mountaintop uh where he he he prophesied
and he spoke about a day uh in which
again the
reconciliation um of this nation to
Godly principles would lead to a
Reconciliation of its citizens to one
another and you remember the I have Dre
speech where he he spoke and it was very
audacious dream you know where the
former sons of of slave owners and the
former sons of Sons of slaves would sit
at the table of Brotherhood well can
tell you it's coming to pass um in the
tremendous uh uh story uh recounted um
uh by Will for III uh who uh became
tremendous friends uh with Matt Lockett
and it turns out that will for is
descended from slaves Matt Lockett is
descended from uh the former slave
owners and they are now Brothers amazing
does it God have a great sense of humor
amazing tremendous there's some stuff
you just like you can't make this stuff
up only God could do this yeah amazing
amazing uh and so yes uh Dr King
answered that prophetic call and God
delivered uh on that word tremendously
we're not it's not perfect right um but
but you and I sitting here together I
mean it's a complete transformation
right and being faithful to God's call
well Christ on the Mountaintop um
recognizes that the challenges we face
today quite honestly uh Jen I the
challenges to our nation are greater
than any I've seen in my lifetime that's
right uh we we certainly uh had a
tremendous Victory with the overturning
of roie weight but we have again a a
massive tie attempting to regroup and
reather and and bring that uh that
Bloodshed back you know to our nation uh
the uh the homosexual agenda uh gross
perversions through uh transgender uh
transhumanism uh the we're seeing uh
tests and Pilots right for technology
that will will Mark our bodies right so
that we're neither able to buy nor sell
without taking taking the mark right I
mean these threats are are are are
overwhelming yeah and so I believe that
God is raising a generation of prophetic
voices right during the Civil Rights
Movement you had one preeminent
prophetic voice uh here it's going to
take more than that that's right here
it's going to take an army tribes an
army of prophetic voices right who are
willing to take a stand willing to speak
uh truth to power willing to uh to take
headon these forces that threaten our
very existence loving Our Lives not even
uh unto unto death and so it's a call
it's a call uh to an army of those with
prophetic voices who are willing to take
a stand uh not just sit comfortably
behind uh our our four Church walls but
to actually go into the Public Square
and articulate Godly principles and
demand nothing less and the way that
we're governed and the way that our
institutions are structured it's
true everything you said it's in the
word we read about it we know it's
coming and yet there's been been an
acceleration and it's here and it can be
overwhelming and you are a commander of
the army and God's given you This
brilliant um articulate brain and you're
able to communicate to um to people that
may not uh go to into the four walls of
a church um that may hide behind their
education or their degrees and so how
what do you say
to those who feel a little overwhelmed
well encourage courage is a really big
part of it um I had the privilege of
sitting down and and interviewing with
my wife Sandy who we will hopefully talk
at least a little bit about them it's
such a I don't know what can I say I'm
going to blush blush blush blush you're
newly wet amen amen oh goodness but uh
but Lou uh tremendous General right in
the in the body of Christ who's
organizing a million woman march to take
a stand um a stand against again this
Rising tide of of threats um that that
we're facing um as the body of Christ in
the United States and and Lou talked
about the the need for courage yeah um
and the willingness to take a stand if
any of us lacks wisdom uh uh the Epistle
of James promises we can ask and God
will freely we'll freely give um I lack
wisdom I ask the Lord uh to to fill me
with wisdom and the ability uh to speak
his truth to provide that in uh the uh
the proper context whatever what
whatever that is so I would say the
willingness to take a stand but always
stand for the gospel yes one thing that
that um I I think is an ongoing
challenge um is is seeding or or giving
the the church's voice right to secular
interests so it's it's easy to uh to
latch on to a strong voice one that may
have some overlap with what we believe
but but isn't really carrying the heart
of the Gospel that's right so we can
Elevate politics over principle we can
align ourselves with those who are
politically motivated and again lose the
ability to actually articulate the
principle that should actually be be
carried so what I'm wanting to do is to
encourage Christians to be faithful to
the gospel and allow the gospel to make
alliances maybe across
you know lines that we may have stayed
on the other side of politically or
socially or culturally what have you we
should be looking for you know our our
fellow brothers and sisters Along Gospel
lines right and and showing unity and
solidarity there not only in what we say
but in the way that we conduct ourselves
right it's very important that when when
when non-christians see us they should
see one thing and they should see again
the love of God that unites us across
lines that normally divide right and a a
fierce loyalty to the gospel elevating
the gospel over politics that's right um
again over um over social practices
personalities right right and an
advocating for Christ advocating for
Christ yes well you know when I
interviewed your mom I think if I had to
use one word to describe what oozes out
of her is love and so um I love that you
referen that love has to be that it has
to be the game Cher in our message and
in the principles so we don't have a lot
of time left you one thing that um I've
noticed is how you and I'm sure this is
from your legal background how you
believe in enter into and petition the
courts of Heavens absolutely in your
prayer life and how you appeal um and
you know the word on in various
situations for miracles for signs for
wonders how to appeal to the courts of
heaven so unpack that because that
that's so powerful in men God wants them
to come and and throw themselves in
front of him and and appeal yes so so
talk a little bit about that yes
absolutely absolutely well well Paul
teaches us in Romans that we have
salvation through Christ and all of the
riches of God's inheritance right for
for for the Saints for his children for
his people um are obtained um the moment
that we accept Jesus as our Lord and our
savior yeah but also it is by the same
Jesus that we actually have access to
those promises so the promises are
granted Upon Our conversion our
accessing those promises that's a second
step where we actually go and petition
and we actually uh receive God is is is
is loves us um he he wants us to uh to
relate to him he doesn't want us to
simply be saved and walk away and so not
only do receive all of God's promises
and salvation but we must access them
right through faith in Jesus Christ and
we have an adversary that stands ready
to challenge and to oppose um and and
courts of Heaven is a dimension of
prayer it's not a formula right it's a
dimension of prayer where we're able to
go and appeal to God when we're facing
the adversary whoever looks to bring
cases and by cases I mean actual legal
cases um to stop the flow of God's
blessing to stop uh the receipt the
manifestation of go of our inheritance
uh from God as saints of God and so
courts of Heaven um is a dimension of
prayer where we're actually able to go
and appeal to God who is our father of
course um who is our covenant friend
yeah but is also the judge of all
creation all things seen and unseen and
so uh courts of Heaven allows us to go
and to counter and um and and overturn
yeah
uh those instances where Satan is
bringing a case based on uh our own sin
or based on even iniquity that we may
have inherited through our through our
blood lines and these are things it have
to be actually dealt with um in a
systematic methodical fashion um and and
in in many instances that's going to be
the only way uh to actually get the
Breakthrough yeah I love that I and I
it's fascinating and we could talk about
it you know for another 20 minutes and
there's still so many Realms but what
I'd like to do is ask you to pray to
enter in with our viewers to the courts
of Heaven to that dimension of prayer
and pray over them absolutely thank
you Father God we bless your Holy Name
holy are you Lord God we thank you Lord
God that when Jesus died for us on the
cross when Jesus gave his body to be
broken for us
uh when Jesus Paid the ultimate price to
take our sins onto his own body that was
the greatest legal transaction in the
history of
humankind we thank you Lord God that
because of Christ's
sacrifice we are the inheritors of all
of the promises of scripture they are in
Christ yes and amen we thank you Lord
God that is part of that promise we're
able to come against our adversary who
goes about out like a roaring lion
seeking whom he may bring a case
against so Lord God I want to pray for
all of our viewers
today and pray specifically that those
who need a breakthrough those who need
deliverance from their adversary Lord
God that you would judge in their favor
that you would Lord God wash away and
anull every legal right or argument or
or or or
attack and Lord God release upon them
release upon every viewer The Riches of
your treasure The Inheritance Lord God
that's purchased by the Lord Jesus
Christ I'm praying for a breakthrough
and a full release and a full
manifestation in the life of every
believer watching this show today this
TV show today in the mighty name of
Jesus amen hallelujah hallelujah amen
