What's going on YouTube? Welcome back to another tutorial. My name is B-Ron Kirakosian.
Today we're going to focus on my choreography for the song This Is Hip Hop by Kid Da Wiz.
If you have not seen the dance video, I'm going to put a link in the description box.
If you have, let's get started. Here we go guys, let's get started right from the very top. I'm
going to just show you the arms real quick. So the first four eight counts I believe is really simple
and then the following four eight counts it gets a little, just a tiny bit a little harder, okay?
So we'll get through this first four eights I think pretty quick and then we'll take a little
bit more time on the second four eight. So just arms on the first steps. You're going down just
one, two, three, four. That's just the arms, okay? Let me show you that again. You're going down here
on one, cross two, make sure the elbows are up. Yeah, don't drop them like this. Open up, same
thing. Keep the elbows up and then up you're grabbing on four, okay? Try that one last time.
Six, seven, eight. Just the arms one, two, three, four. Perfect. You're going to step forward with
the right leg, okay? You step forward with the right leg, you lean to the right side. So whichever
leg you step forward with is the side you're going to lean. You're going one, two, three, jump four,
okay? So three steps forward and then jump out on four. When you connect it with the arms you're
going one, two, three, four, okay? Let's do that a couple of times. Six, seven, eight. Step one, step two,
step three, jump four. Perfect. Make sure you put a little bounce to your step, okay? So every time
I step I'm kind of bending my knees to stay in that bounce vibe. So one, two, three, jump four.
Good. From here, pretty simple again. Let me just show you the legs and the body. You're going to
side five, six, seven, eight. Good. Just transferring weight to the left side, to the right side, left
side, right side, okay? Turn your body a little bit as you do that. Tilt a little bit this way.
Left, right. Perfect. So the arms are here. You're going to pull down five, pull down six. Cross arms
just like you did in the beginning. Seven, keeping the elbows up. Eight, opening up, okay? Try again.
Six, seven, eight. Go pull, pull, cross, open. Perfect. One more time. Six, seven, eight. Go pull,
pull, cross, open. Perfect. Let's take it back to the top. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Step
one, step two, step three, jump four. Go five, six, seven, eight. Good. Let's do that one more time.
Five, six, seven, eight. Step one, step two, step three, jump four. Five, six, seven, eight. Good.
From here, you're going to turn to the right. You're just bouncing. You're going to go bounce and bounce,
okay? Body coming forward. Seven, eight. Go forward, forward. Good. Try to keep your back straight on
that. You're just going to lean forward, okay? One more time. Six, seven, eight. Go bounce, bounce. Your
legs are going to go left, right. Arms are going to cross left, right. The right arm is going to be on top
of the left arm. The legs go left, right. Left stepping out first. I kind of step on my toes
first to make that smooth. And then I'll turn my body forward. When I turn, I'm using my heels to go
here, okay? So we're here. We just went bounce, bounce, left, right. Arms cross, open. Try that again.
Six, seven, eight. Go bounce, bounce, left, right, open. Perfect. One last time. Six, seven, eight. Go
bounce, bounce, left, right, open. Good. From here, you're going to move to the right side.
Arms, you're just swinging here, open, here, open. Legs are going five and six, seven and eight.
Good. So slide and kick the knees out. Going up on your toes here and slide and here. Good. When
you kick the knees out and you're coming up on your toes, make sure your feet are closer, like
almost together. Yeah, so don't stay here because this is going to feel weird, okay? Let's try one
more time from the slide a couple of times. Six, seven, here you're going five and six, seven and
eight. Good. And as you can see, my body's kind of going up when I throw the arms out,
kicking the knees out, my body's going up. That's the vibe. Boom and hit. Boom. Good.
Let's do it one more time. We'll go from the turn. Six, seven, eight. Go bounce, bounce, left, right,
open, slide and slide. Good. Let's take it back to the top. Here we go. Let's walk it slow. Six,
seven, eight. Step one, step two, step three, jump four, five, six, seven, eight. Go bounce,
bounce, left, right, open, slide, two, slide, hit. Okay. One more time. Let's add a little bit of
speed to that. Five, six, seven, eight. Go one, go two, go three, jump four, five, six, seven,
eight. Go bounce, bounce, left, right, open, slide and slide. Good. From here, we're moving on.
You're going to turn to the right side. Your legs are doing three steps. Right, left, right, left,
right, left. Let's do that a couple of times so our feet get used to it. Six, seven, eight. Go
right, left, right, left, right, left. Good. One last time. Six, seven, eight. Go right, left, right,
left, right, left. Arms. Swing here. Take the right arm to the back. Left arm is up. Again,
real strong. Elbows up. Spin here. Okay. One more time for the arms. Seven, eight and two, four.
Perfect. One more time. Six, seven, eight and boom, hit, boom, hit. Good. Let's connect it with the
arms. We're going to the right side. We're going to turn our body face the back. Seven, eight. You're
going to go right, left, right. And as you can see, I bend my knees when I'm stepping. You'll see it
again when I turn around. Left, right, here. Okay. So every time you're stepping to turn, go down
and then come up. So there's like a little level change. Okay. So watch that again. Seven, eight.
You're going down, down, up, down, down, up. Good. One more time. So remember, you're going to the
right side. You're starting with the right leg using the right arm. If you turn to the left side,
left leg, left arm. Here we go. Six, seven, eight. Go down, down, up, down, down, up. Good. So another
thing, when you step out to the right side, when you do your first turn, your feet are going to
come together. Right, left, together. When you go out to the left side, your feet are going to go apart.
Left, right, and then you're going to go apart. Now when your right arm is up, you're just going to go
five, six, seven, eight. One more time. You're here. So remember, right arm up. So obviously you're
going to do opposite leg. Touch. Bring the left arm out here. Double up. Good. One last time. Six, seven,
eight. Go boom, boom, double up. Good. Now keep this left leg up because you're going to repeat the
same exact thing going to the left side. Okay. So nothing changes. Same move. You're here. You're
going to take that left arm out. You're going to go left, right, left, right, left, right. So same
thing. Spin once. Feet together. Spin second time. Feet apart. Left arm is up. Obviously we're going to
do opposite leg. Touch, touch, double up. Good. So let's take it back. Let's just do that a couple of times
starting to the right side and then the left side. Let's do it slow. Six, seven, eight. You're going
right, left, right, left, right, left. Touch, touch, and double up. Remember to keep that leg up because
when you put it down that is your first step. One and two, three and four, five, six, seven, eight.
Perfect. Let's do it again. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Go down, down, up, down, down, out.
Touch, touch, double up. Go left, right, left, right, left, right. Touch, touch, double up. Perfect.
Let's do it one more time. Let's do a little bit more tempo and then let's take it back and walk
it from the top. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Go step, step, step, step, step, step, step, down, down,
double up. Go step, step, step, step, step, step, go hit, hit, double up. Nice. Let's take it back from
the very top. Walk the whole thing. Let's do one slow, one semi-tempo, and then keep going, okay?
Here we go. Five, six, seven, slower going, one, two, three, jump, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Go bounce, two, and three, open, four, slide, six, and slide, eight. Go down, down, up, down, down, up, touch,
touch, double up, go down, down, up, down, down, up, go boom, boom, double up. Nice. One more time just like that.
Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight. Step one, step two, step three, jump, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Go one, two, and three, four, five, six, seven, eight. And one, and two, three, and four, five, six, seven, eight.
Go one, and two, three, and four, five, six, seven, eight. Good job. Moving on from here. So your right leg is up,
you're going to step right into the next step. Let me show you the feet first. You're here, you're
stepping out here, both legs facing out, yeah? Out on one, and on two, three, and to the back. Okay?
Let's try that again. Six, seven, eight. You're going out, in, out, in, touch. Good. On the very last one, left leg goes behind,
touch with the toes, right leg still twists. Okay? So don't make it more complicated than it is. You are twisting the same way.
So don't start going opposite, okay? Here we go. Let's try again. Six, seven, eight. You're going out, in, out, in, twist.
You're going to repeat going to the left side. Now this is easy. Just take your left leg out because your right leg is already there, ready to go.
One, closing on two, three, and four. Okay. Try that one more time. Let's just do left side. Seven, eight. Go one, close, two, three, and four.
Good. One last time. Six, seven, eight. Go in, out, boom, boom, boom. Perfect. So we'll go both sides, arms.
First step you're doing, you're waving the arm, I'm sorry, you're waving the body down. You have one, and two, and then arms stay here,
and I'm looking that way. I'm going to wave again. One, and two, three, and four. Good. Let's try that again. Here we go.
Wave one, two, three, and four. One, two, three, and four. Good. One last time. Five, six, seven, eight, and one, two, three, and four.
One, two, three, and four. Perfect. Let's go back to the very top, connect that all together. Here we go.
Let's do one slow. Six, seven, eight. Step, one, step, two, step, three, jump, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Down, one, two, left, right, four, slide, five, six, seven, eight. Go step, step, step. Step, step, step. Go touch, touch, double, up, go.
Step, step, step. Step, step, step. Go hit, hit. Here we go. New part. And one, two, three, and four. One, two, three, and four.
All right, guys. So that was the first four eight counts. Let's move on from there, okay? So if you
remember, we finished here. So from here, you're going to step out. No arms yet. Just step out with
the right leg. Go one, okay? And then there's all these sound effects on this eight count. So you're
going to go reach out with the right hand like you're about to catch something. Two, you're right
here, and then come one level down. As you can see, I'm all the way up on my toes on the left leg. I'm
reaching all the way on two, and then going to the left on three. That's where I drop to the middle,
and then four to the bottom, okay? Let's try again. We're here. Remember, the first step is just the
leg. No arms. Seven, eight, step out. One, go two, go three, go four. Perfect. Let's do that again.
Six, seven, eight, reach one. As you can see, I look that way. So keep your focus on whichever arm
you're grabbing with here. Turn your head here to the left. Turn your head down here, okay? One last
time. Six, seven, eight, step out. One, two, three, four. From here, you're going to throw it up in the air.
Look for it. Five. Now, when you throw it up, I use my right leg, and I stomp down with my heel,
and that gives me that little attack to throw it in the air, okay? So this is four. I'm going
five. I look at it. Grab six. Same thing. Seven. Look at it. Grab eight, and then you're going to toss it
to the left arm real quick. Boom. Catch it here, okay? And the right arm goes to the thigh. Let's try
that a couple of times. So this was four. You're going stomp, five, grab six, seven, grab eight, throw.
One more time. Six, seven, eight, and five, and six, seven, and eight, and. So that's your counts.
Five, and six, seven, and eight, and. Okay? Because on one, you're going to go right into choreography,
and that's when it starts getting a little tricky, okay? So let's take it back from the step.
Six, seven, eight, go. One, two, three, four, throw. Five, six, seven, eight, and. Good. Make sure you catch
on and, because you got to start on one, okay? Let's do that again. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight, go. One,
two, three, four, five, and six, seven, and eight, catch. Good. One last time. Five, six, a little bit
faster. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and. Good. Let's take it back to the top. Let's do that.
I think that's five-eighths in. I totally forgot that we have that little middle section with the
sound effects before we get to the other four-eighths. So it's actually, this is already five-eighths,
and then we're repeated going into the new four-eighths, okay? So let's do this whole little
chunk together. What counts? Move on to the next section. Five, six, seven, eight, go. One, go, two,
go, three, jump, four, five, six, seven, eight, go. One, two, and three, open, four, slide, six, and slide,
eight, go. Step, step, step, step, step, step, down, hit, and double up, go. One, and two, three, and four, go.
Five, six, seven, eight, wave, one, two, three, and four. One, two, three, and four, step, hit, catch, catch,
catch, throw, grab, seven, eight, and. Good. So if you're able to get through that, you're in a great
position. Let's try it one more time. We'll go a little faster, and then we'll move on. So if you're
not sure if you have it enough and you're forgetting steps, stay here, work on it a little bit, work on
just this section, take a break if you need to, and then once you feel comfortable, then move on, okay?
Here we go. Let's go from the top one more time. Five, six, seven, eight, step, one, two, three, four, five,
six, seven, eight, bounce, one, two, left, right, open, slide, and slide, and step, step, step, step, step, step,
go, hit, hit, double up, step, step, step, step, step, step, go, hit, hit, double up, go, wave, two, three, and four,
wave, two, three, and four, go, step, catch, catch, catch, throw, throw, hold. Nice. Let's move on from
there, guys. So once we're here, okay, you're going to twist the left leg. You want to bring your body
up, so you're going one, and two, and to go three, so you're bringing that right arm like it's going
through the arms, three, put it down on and, okay? So three, let that body, leg, body waves in, okay?
Three, and you're going to bring it in. So I want you to think every time you do a step, you're doing
it either on a count or an end count. So this little section is going to be fast. There's no little break,
so it's one, and, two, and, three, and, four, and, okay? So three, bring the left leg in with the body,
boom, here, you're going to go three, and, and then go up, down, okay? Three, and, up, down,
leg, body follows. Here we go. Six, seven, eight, go one, and, two, and, three, and, four, and. Perfect.
Let's do it again. Six, seven, eight, go one, and, two, and, three, and, four, and, from here, you're going
to hop back on the right leg, five, step, and, jump across the right leg in front of the left leg,
throw the arms out, let it come back down, six, and then wrap your arms around yourself as you're
turning, seven, once you get here, you're going to jump out, pull out, eight, arms strong, keep the elbows up
again, you don't want it to fall, okay? So you were here, you brought the left leg in, you're hopping back,
five, and, six, jumping and landing together, throwing the arms, letting it come down, wrap yourself on
seven, jump, eight. Try that again. Seven, eight, go five, and, six, and, seven, eight. Perfect. Let's take it back a
little bit. Let's go from just that new section. Here we go. Five, six, seven, eight, go one, and, two, and,
three, and, four, and, five, and, six, and, seven, eight. Good. One more time. Six, seven, eight, go one, and, two,
and, three, and, four, and, five, and, six, and, seven, eight. Perfect. From here, you're going to wrap your hands,
going to the left side, close your legs here, okay? Left arm is underneath, right arm is on top, and then
twist and come to the middle. Legs go in, out, okay? So one, two, and then go three, and, four, pulling back.
Try again. Six, seven, eight, go one, two, three, and, four. Okay. One more time. Six, seven, eight, you're going one, two, three, and,
four. Arms up, strong. You're going to wave to the front with your head, starting here on five. You're going five, bringing
the body down six. You're going to wave the arms up seven, and then you're going to go eight, real sharp, real fast.
Okay? So you're here. You went pull back on here on four. You're going five, six, seven, eight. Good. You'll hear it in the
music. There's a little sound effect there. Snap. You want to just catch that. Take two counts on the wave, okay?
So you're here. Jump together on four. Go five, six, wave seven, eight. Nice. Let's take it back to the top of the
second section. Here we go. Six, seven, eight, go one, and, two, and, three, and, four, and, five, and, six, and, seven, and, eight.
Go one, two, three, and, four, five, six, go seven, eight. Good. Let's do that same thing. Let's give it a little tempo.
Here we go. Six, seven, eight, go one, and, two, and, three, and, four, and, five, and, six, and, seven, eight. Go one, two, three, and, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Good. Moving on from here. You're going to roll your body. Chest goes out to the right. One, two. You're going to step down with the left
leg and wave at the same time. Step on your toes because you're going to turn your body around. One, and then push down. Give me a little bounce on two, and then you're going to bounce again and switch the legs.
Three, and, four. Try that again. Here we go. Six, seven, eight. Roll one, two, three, and, four. Good. One more time. Five, six, seven, eight. Go one, two, three, and, four.
You're going to do a cool little glide going forward. The bigger you step with the right leg, the cooler the glide will look because you want to travel down. You're going seven and eight, okay?
So the way I do that is, first let me show you the legs. You're here. You went five, six. I'm stepping forward as much as I can. I'm staying on my toes. It's almost like in a moonwalk position so I can slide back.
My left leg is really back, so I'm going to kind of take it around and bring it all the way here and put it together in two counts. So just the legs will go seven and eight.
Arms. I'm going left arm up, right arm down. Here, stop. Okay? Left goes up, the wrist points down. Right arm goes down, the wrist points up. And then in the middle you switch. Connect them together.
Okay? Let's connect it together. This is five, six, seven, and eight. Good. Try again. Five, three, four, five, six, seven, and eight.
Good. One more time. Three, four, five, six, go. Seven and eight. Good. Seven and eight. We're just bringing it down, holding it here. Okay?
Let's take it back. Let's go back on the eighth count. Let's go from the top of that section. Let's walk it. Six, seven, eight. Go one, and two, and three, and four, and five, and six, seven, eight.
Go one, two, three, and four, five, six, wave, seven, eight. And one, two, three, and four, five, six, go, seven, eight. Good. So let's repeat that last eight a couple more times and I want to finish it up.
and, seven, and, eight, and, one. Good. So listen, guys. This part might get a little tricky. I know it
might be a little harder than the first section. So just take your time. Okay? Rewind the video. Watch
it again. Listen. We all learn in different pace. So if you need to slow it down, there's nothing wrong
with that. Work on the step. The goal is to actually learn the choreography, not speed through
it. Okay? Let's take it back to the top of that second section. Walk it once or twice. Go all the
way to the top. Do it together. You can see the dance video. The link is in the description box.
Turn it on. Listen to the music. Match the steps. You're ready to dance. Okay? Here we go. Second
section first. We are here. Six, seven, eight. Go one, and, two, and, three, and, four, and, five, and,
six, and, seven, eight. One, two, three, and, four, five, six, wave, seven, eight. Go one, two, three, and,
four, five, six, seven, and, eight. Go one, two, and, three, and, four, and, five, and, six, and,
seven, and, eight, and, one. Good, guys. Let's speed that up. Let's see how it looks. Here we go.
Five, six, seven, eight. Go one, two, and, three, and, four, and, five, and, six, and,
seven, eight. Go one, two, three, and, four, five, six, seven, eight. Go one, two, three, and, four,
5, 6, 7, and 8. Go 1, 2, and 3, and 4, and 5, and 6, and 7, and an 8, and 1.
Good guys. Let's take it back to the very top. Walk the whole thing. See how you
feel and if you remember the whole thing. We'll do it slow, and then we'll try to
do it a semi-tempo, and then that's it guys. Just give it a go with music, okay?
Here we go from the top. Slow just to remember everything. 6, 7, 8. Walk 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Go 1, 2, and 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Go 1, and 2, 3, and 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Go 1, and 2,
3, and 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Wave 1, 2, 3, and 4. 1, 2, 3, and 4. Step 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
And 1, and 2, and 3, and 4, and 5, and 6, 7, 8. Go 1, 2, 3, and 4, 5, 6, 7,
8. Go roll 2, 3, and 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Roll 1, 2, and 3, and 4, and 5, and 6, and 7, and 8, and 1.
Alright guys, so that wasn't super slow, but it was in tempo. It's kind of in the middle. Let's
speed it up a little more than that and see how you feel, okay? Here we go. 5, 6, 5, 6, 7, 8. Go
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Bounce 1, 2, and 3, 4. Go 5, 7, 8. Go step, step, step. Step, step, step.
Hit, hit, double up. Here we go. 1, and 2, 3, and 4, 5, 6. Here comes the wave. And boom,
cat. Hit, hit, hit, and boom, 2. Hit, hit, hit. Step 1. Grab 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. And 1, and 2, and 3, and 4, and 5, 6, 7, 8. Go boom,
that. Boom, boom. Hit, go 5, 6, 7, 8. 1, 2, 3, and 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. And 1, 2, and 3, and 4, and 5, and 6, and 7, and 8, and 1.
