Keala Clarkson has been caught acting cold toward her live audience and new crew members off-camera,
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
Season 5 of The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered on October 16 after making the move from the
Universal lot in Los Angeles to Studio 6A in 30 Rock over the summer.

During a taping of her show on October 19,
The U.S. Sun has learned about the daytime talk show host's shocking behavior behind the scenes.
Kelly acted cold towards the audience from the moment she stepped on stage,
an insider told The U.S. Sun.
She said hi and waved to the audience and then took her position to record the first segment.
Then, throughout the whole taping, she didn't even bother acknowledging the audience and rather,
had her team come out multiple times to fix her hair and makeup.
Kelly Clarkson shows off drastic weight loss in tight denim jumpsuit in NYC,
the insider continued.
One fan legend had to shout to get her attention because he was a super fan
and wanted to let her know he came all the way from Brazil to see her show.
At the end of the show, after rolling for an hour and a half,
the 41-year-old's exit off the stage was just as unamusing as her entrance.
She just said bye as her band played music loudly over her,
and she did a quick wave and then turned her back to walk away, the insider remarked.
Kelly's behavior toward the audience is a complete
180 from how hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consolos treat their audience.
During a recent taping of Lev with Kelly and Mark,
a source told the US Sun that the couple made everyone feel welcome,
coming up to the guests to take selfies and sign books.
Plus, Kelly went as far as opening up about her wardrobe malfunction.
In addition to not acknowledging the audience,
the insider said that the American Idol alum very rarely interacted with her crew.
Some of her crew were new hires and some also made the move to New York
to continue working with her, the insider revealed.
She was mainly communicating with the stage manager and her hair and makeup team
and the guests that were there that day.
It was obvious to the audience that some of her staff did not make the move from
Los Angeles to the show's new studio.
For one, the audience handler said it was her first day on set.
She was very nervous and kept telling the audience that she didn't want to screw up
and get fired, the insider spilled.
Another newbie was a member of her band, the saxophone player.
The insider continued,
the musician was someone the band director found while scouting talent in Central Park.
He was asked to come play for the Kelly Clarkson show,
but it's unclear if he's been hired full-time or if they are just testing him out.
The report of the singer being cold on set comes months after Rolling Stone
released a bombshell article about the toxic work environment.
In the story, 10 current employees and one former employee spoke out
and said that they were overworked and underpaid.
They also said working at the show was traumatizing to their mental health.
A former employee shared,
I remember going up on the roof of the stage to cry, being like,
oh my gosh, what am I doing?
Why am I putting myself through this?
Another anonymous former employee spilled,
I think, executive producer, Alex Dude is a monster.
I have a friend who's an executive producer who warned me about taking this job
because apparently she has done this on every show she's worked on.
Speaking out,
The following day after the article came out,
Kelly addressed the claims in a statement released on her Instagram.
She began,
In my 20 years in the entertainment industry,
I've always led with my heart and what I believe to be right.
I love my team at the Kelly Clarkson show,
and to find out that anyone is feeling unhaired and or disrespected on this show is unacceptable.
She continued,
I have always been and will continue to be committed to creating and maintaining
a safe and healthy environment at the Kelly Clarkson show.
As we prepare for a move to the East Coast,
I am more committed than ever to ensuring that not only our team that is moving,
but also our new team in NY is comprised of the best and kindest in the business.
Part of that build will include leadership training for all of the senior staff,
including myself.
The Voice alum concluded,
There is always room to grow and ensure we are all being slashed
becoming the best versions of ourselves in any business,
especially when it comes to leadership,
to ensure that any notion of toxicity is eradicated.
