✅ Can a Mother Dog feed 12 puppies?

❎ Hello my friends. Belgian Malinois Linda gave birth to 12 puppies. Will the dog - Mom be able to feed them all without outside help? I am not a veterinarian or a dog expert, so I do not have an exact answer. But in my opinion, this is impossible. Dog mothers have an average of 10 milk nipples, the two front ones are almost always empty.
In our case, we did not tempt fate and fed the puppies goat's milk from a bottle with a nipple from the first days! Goat's milk is a good replacement. My little Belgian shepherds refused to eat the dry milk mixture bought at the pet store!
Don't let it scare you that my dog is very thin. I fed Linda well and a lot! Firstly, this is a Malinois, all dogs of this breed are very thin and their "ribs are visible". Secondly, I could not influence her maternal instinct, no matter how much I fed the dog - she gave all her strength to lactation.
