Dr. James Goll

Hi, I'm Jen Mallon. Welcome to Come Home. We are in a war. It is raging against us and we need a battle plan and a strategy. Today, I have Dr. James Ball. He's a seer, a prophet, an intercessor, a teacher, and he's an author. And he's going to help us. This interview is fire. Well, I promised that I had a legend with me today. I'm so tickled pink, I could just pinch myself. Dr. James Ball, you have mentored me from afar. You have blessed the body of Christ. You have been exemplary in your walk, especially when you've gone through the Valley of the Shadow. You are such an edifier. You are one of the strongest prophetic voices from the past 30 years. And thank you. Thank you for your life, your ministry, your yes, your legacy, and for your new book, The Triumph. Yeah, thank you. Here we go. There it is. There it is. Yeah, it's the Comprehensive Guide to Spiritual Warfare. And boy, do we need it right now. Yes, we do. There is so much in here and you've broken it into three sections. And by the way, you've written 50 books. You've been to over 50 nations, probably over 50 books. So you are just a book birther. And yet God keeps tapping you on the shoulder and asking you for more. So how did this one come about? So as I look into today's teachings for the body of Christ, and when then I look, because I am a father in the global prayer and prophetic movements in particular, and when I take a step back and I look into the strengths and then the weaknesses, I remember the foundations that I was taught. And I go, oh, wait a second. So this is about answering your question. Why did I write this, The Triumph, Your Comprehensive Guide to Spiritual Warfare? And so years ago, we were taught the ABCs and the XYZs on the finished work of the cross of Jesus, the seven words of Jesus on the cross. It is finished. But not only that, but how to apply the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The book of Revelation says that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and we testify by what He has done, and we overcome. See, people want to be overcomers, but they don't always have been given the practical application steps. And we overcome the accuser of the brethren by testifying what the blood of Jesus has done. So sometimes people are declaring, I'm an overcomer, but they don't know what the cross has done. They don't know what the blood of Jesus has accomplished. And let me take it for a moment. Are we aware that in the book of Leviticus, and I'm just using one example of spiritual warfare, the priest would dip his finger in the blood of the bull and the goat and dip it seven times. Well, what's that all about? And because then it's a shadow and an invitation then into the New Testament, because Jesus shed his blood seven distinct times and ways, and there is a correlation of a benefit of every time that Jesus shed his blood, there is a benefit that by his shed blood, we have peace through the blood of the cross. We have, by his stripes, we are healed. And so many things. And so I, this is just one example, then, that I'm trying to lay these foundations. And I am extremely biblical. And I also will weave in narratives to help us stay awake. And so, but that's just one example that I'm trying to take strengths from yesterday that my generation was taught and then bring it forward for this generation. And this generation has got zeal. And this generation believes in the supernatural, but it needs the foundations to be added to their zeal and their high-level gifting in the supernatural. Yeah. Well, Dr. James, you do that. And you do it so comprehensively and so theologically, because you're right. There are so many people that want the signs, wonders, and miracles, but they have to understand the genesis of those things and how to wield their sword correctly. And they also need to know who their enemy is. I went to Florida State University. I worked for Coach Bobby Bowden for three and a half years. Wow. In the late 80s, early 90s. And I'm setting up something for you to talk about. Yes, I understand. Before we had the internet, before we had Google, before we had computers, we would, the Garnet and Gold Girls, we would cut out articles about the opponent. There you go. And we would paste them all over the wall in the locker room. And the week before that we would play the opposing team, the players came in and they learned all about the enemy, all about the person they had to overcome, all about the person they had to have triumph over. Good job. And you do that in the book. Because I think, you know, Dr. James, people don't know their enemy, how bully he is, what a terrorist he is, how he doesn't play fair, but you teach us. So unpack that a little bit. Yeah, thank you so much. That is exactly right. That's another one of the areas, see, that there's a gap in today. So I start out actually in those foundational places. And so I talk about Lucifer's fall. Well, who's Lucifer? And so I talk about creation because this is ABCs. This is your comprehensive guide to spiritual warfare. So I talk about in the beginning God and how God created. And this is going to be so simple, but I know you understand. God is the only uncreated being. That's right. And he created the archangels. He created Gabriel, a messenger angel who oversees all of the messenger angels. Right. He created Michael, who is a warrior angel and a guardian in specific over Israel. Yeah. And he created Lucifer, who it appears when you study particularly in Ezekiel and Isaiah, he was a musician. He was a worshiping angel and over a type of worshiping angels. And he compared himself with the others. And he compared himself with himself. And then he said, I will arise and I will be like the Most High God. Well, it was impossible for him to be like the Most High God because the Most High God was uncreated. And Lucifer was subjected under the creator and Lucifer was created. And Lucifer with hubris, let me use a different word, excessive pride in his eternal heart. Yeah. It says that he arose, he rose up. And when he did see pride, I talk about this. Pride is the root of all rebellion. It's true. I talk about Lucifer's rebellion. How are you fallen from heaven? Oh, shining star, son of the morning, you have been, listen to this, thrown down to earth. You who destroyed the nations of the world. And so one of these three original archangels, Lucifer, gets cast out because of pride. The book of Revelation then picks this up and he is called the great dragon. And it says, and with his tail, he sweeps his tail and sweeps a third of the stars. Well, when you compare words, stars are also a reference to angels. And he sweeps a third of the stars of heaven with him. Oh, this is actually a brilliant, amazing Bible study to do and somewhat simple. So I go through Lucifer's rebellion and it's a warning to all of us about pride. And then I look at the results of Lucifer's rebellion. And then I bring it home, the snare of pride and insecurity. And I bring the lessons of what in the origins, in the beginning, and I bring it home to us. What is there for us to learn? And of course, there's a whole lot about, you know, fallen angels and things like that. But the snare of pride and what? Insecurity. And one of the ploys of the enemy is to try to get us to compare ourselves to someone else. That's right. Is to try to get you to feel like someone else is better than you. Yeah. And to get you to covet someone else's gifting. It's true. And then, or to, out of insecurity, rise up and think you're better than anyone else. And then not want to serve because, after all, you're the one who needs to be served. So I bring this home in a practical way of how then the enemy tries to speak these lies to us. That's right. In insecurity and pride. And both those things are lethal. And you break it down very comprehensively and where it can be, where you can identify it. Because, Dr. James, if we can't identify it, we can't confront it. We can't confront it, we can't conquer it. Yeah. Say that again. You did a great job. You're really articulate. And we would do really good, you know, just like right now. Because it's so complimentary. I can bring the principles, then you do an excellent job of then repackaging it. That's because I've been taught so well on so many of your webinars. And by the way, I just want to honor you and thank you publicly. You were phenomenal during the lockdown. So many people could have lost it spiritually. Many were on life support. And you just fed us, fed us. I mean, my email. Every other week you had a webinar. And you gave away your life's work. You did it for free. And just thank you. Sometimes, you know, you do things and you don't even know who it impacts in the body of Christ. You'll know in heaven. But I just wanted to tell you thank you. But what I was saying is if your book helps us to be able to identify insecurity, then we can confront it. Then we can conquer it. And then guess what? We can be triumphant over it. And then we are overcomers because we testify of what, how, we, out of what the blood of Jesus has done, what the cross has done, what Jesus has helped do in our lives. But we must declare it. And as we testify, or let me use another word, as we share. That's right. Out of our hearts. Yeah. Sometimes we can, people can come across a little haughty. Yes. So let's, let's, let's, let me dial this down a little bit. Hey, as you simply share the good news that has happened in your life, conversationally, with someone else, it is amazing what your words of encouragement will do. Let me tell you a story. I used to compare myself to these high-level prophets, I thought, who got addresses, words of knowledge of social security numbers. Yes. And things like that. Now, it doesn't mean that I don't get details sometimes, because I do. Yeah. But I get them out of strategic alignments and purposes. But I was complaining to God. I was comparing myself. And I was going down into the pit. And I was just going, oh, see, I was, see what I was doing? It's called the downward spiral. Yes. And I was doing it. I was doing one of the devil's tricks. I was getting caught. I was comparing myself to someone else. And I just went, oh, all I get are these, listen to this, little crummy words. Oh. No, no, no, but this is going to be good news. Okay, good. And I said, all I get are little crummy words. And then the Holy Spirit captured me. And he said, oh, is that right? So you get little crummy words? He said this to me. Did you know that your crumbs are someone else's next meal? Oh, wow. Huh. Because, you know, Jesus said, I mean, it's in the Bible, that even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master's table. That's right. And so what if you feel like, feel, that doesn't mean it's true. That's right. Feel like that all you get is little crumbs. Then give your little crumbs. Because you don't know if you're little crummy that you think you're little crumbs. But the Lord says, your little crumbs are precious jewels, and they are someone else's breakthrough. They are. They're miracles. Yes, they are. They might be the key that unlocks the door. That's right. They might be that one last word of encouragement that tips the scale. Yes. Hey, folks, we are in a battle. Yes, we are. And we are not to give up. If anything that I know that I can say that I have to give to you is, I am a person of endurance. Yes, you are. I will not give up. And I want to say to you, it is called the triumph, but it's Jesus' triumph. Jesus endured the cross. And I want to say to us, in effective spiritual warfare, you still have to pick up your cross daily and follow him. There is still a cross made, tailor-made for everyone, and there is one made just for you. And you have to pick it up, deny yourself, and follow him. And when you do that, get this, you have actualized authority, and you will not be treating the name of Jesus like it's a rabbit's foot. It is not a lucky charm. It will have actualized authority. And when you speak the name of Jesus, demons will tremble at his name, because you are walking the walk. And then when you talk his talk, demons tremble, because in the book of James it says, submit to God. Did you know it says that first? Yes. Submit to God. And then what does it say? Resist the devil. Oh, but what some people, they leave out submit to God, and they just say resist the devil. Uh-uh. It's submit to God, resist the devil, and then what does it say, Jen? He flees. He runs. And who does the running? He does, not us. The devil does, not us. And you wouldn't know literally what it says? Submit, if you submit to God, we must surrender. I surrender all. You must surrender that area that you are getting attacked under, and you've got to surrender it to God. Then you stand up, you stand firm, and you have actualized authority. You speak what the blood of Jesus has done, and you say, by the blood of Jesus, I am forgiven. By the blood of Jesus, I am cleansed. By the blood of Jesus, I have been redeemed. By the blood of Jesus, I am sanctified, set apart unto a holy calling. By the blood of Jesus, I have peace. Oh, right now, the anxiety has no place on me. By the blood of Jesus, I have peace through the blood of the cross. That's in the book of Colossians. By the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, you see, I am sanctified. That means set apart unto a holy calling. Do you know that I declare these things every day? And by the blood of Jesus, I have access to the throne of almighty God to approach his throne with boldness, to receive help and grace and mercy in a time of need. Hello, God. It's a time of need. So I receive, and right now, I want you to receive grace. Yes. Another measure of grace. Right now, you can receive. Okay, now, can I dial this down right now? Yeah, I can. Right now, you can receive another measure of mercy. And then, you now have authority over the accuser of the brethren. Because why? You are testifying what the blood of Jesus has already done. And so, we declare over your life. I declare over mine. He has no authority over you and over your family line. And we say, hey, we submit to God. Here was the context. We submit to God. And now, we stand. We resist. We put on the full armor of God. We take up the shield of faith. We have now the sword of the spirit, which we are using, which is the word of God. We resist. Yes. And one of the things is, we're resisting the spirit of depression right now in the name of Jesus. In Jesus' name. And how much time do we have right now? We've got to land the plane. So, if you want to just start praying over against that spirit and taking authority. And I just declare in Jesus' name, with the sword of the spirit, we say depression must break. It must lift in the name of Jesus. And then, it says, and the devil will flee. But you know what it literally means? And he will run in terror from you. So, right now, we're not running. The devil is fleeing with his bags of terror. He is taking his bag of depression right now, and he is fleeing with it in Jesus' name. And we say, devil, take your bag of depression and run with it now in Jesus' name. Because we have submitted to God. We have taken the sword of the spirit, and we have resisted. And you aren't just going to walk away. You're fleeing, running in terror from God, from God in us. Because greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world. This is James W.
