St. Vincent & the Grenadines vs Bonaire | 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League Group Stage

Decision day in League B. Group A has arrived from the Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador. It's Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Bonaire ready to blow the whistle today. It will be Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to kick things off. There is the opening whistle and we are in motion. Slightly nervous last few. Attack for Bonaire now. Their first time on the attack and from outside the area. Great save made by Lemus Christopher. It's well worked by Bonaire. Laid off perfectly. Trying to feed it in and then finding a teammate. It's lobbed off the bar. Bonaire so close again to the opening goal. Finishing at least in those play-in spots. First corner for them. Swung toward the backside and volleyed right on in the first save of the game for Denior Cecilia. Saint Vincent with a cut back and then across the face a goal and it's the opening goal for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. They have to win. They have a lead in the 19th minute. It's Dayel Spring on the score sheet and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and eventually taken by Martin who's pulled back into the middle has turned over and slammed off the goalkeeper. Rebound is loose still. There is the halftime whistle from Jose Torres and so Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Maybe not a vintage performance from them so far. They're doing what they had to do. It is Bonaire to get things back underway in the second half. The whistle goes and off we go again. It will be Shaq Adams over the wall but just wide. Play goes on. Here's Oleks Anderson. He's always going to get to that ball first and Anderson into the box on his left. Squares it across the face. What a save. Incredible stop by Denior Cecilia. Down the right side comes Steven Pierre. Tries to chip the keeper. It's off the post. Second ball is bundled in. Flag stays down. Goal counts. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Two goals ahead and a must win. Bonaire continuing to knock. They played so well at points today. This ball into the middle and it's an own goal and Bonaire do have one back. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are not there yet. Not at all. They've been threatening all afternoon. Underlapping runs and it's lifted into the middle and a diving header spins into the net and the two goal lead restored for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Diel Spring has his second of the day. Struck with the right and it's off the underside of the bar. Still alive on the doorstep. Left footed strike. What a save. Cecilia again. Vincent able to take it back and there is the full-time whistle. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines do what they needed to do today. They had to win to give themselves a chance.
