5 Ships That Went Missing In The Bermuda Triangle. Cyclops, Rubicon, Atalanta, Freya, Rossini. One of the most mysterious places on Earth is the Bermuda Triangle. There ships, planes and people disappear without a trace. In 1951, Evard Van Winkle Jones called the area "the devil's sea". In this video, we have collected 5 ships that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle.

1. Rossini
The story of the Bermuda Triangle began after the Rossini incident. This is a French sailing ship, which in 1840 was found drifting near the capital of the Bahamas. All the sails were raised on it, all the necessary equipment was available, the ship was not damaged, its cargo was intact, but there were no crew. No records were found in the logbook to explain the reason for the crew's disappearance. As it turned out, during the investigation, the Bermuda Triangle was not involved in the incident. "Rossini" ran aground near the Bahamas, the crew left it in boats, and at high tide the ship was carried away by waves into the open sea. Nobody knows how long it drifted, but they found it in the unfortunate place. During the "free voyage" the inscription was erased, distorting the name of the ship - "Rosalie". After this incident, "Rossini" were considered a ghost ship, and the place where it was found was called witchcraft.

2. Freya
On October 20, 1902, the German 4-masted merchant ship "Freya" without a crew was met in the Atlantic Ocean. The weather in those days was fine, there was no storm for a long time. What happened to the people is still a mystery.

3. Atalanta
The Atalanta is a British training sailing vessel. On the last day of January 1880, it was in the Bermuda region. There were 290 people on board (officers and cadets). Atalanta did not arrive at its destination and did not return to its homeland. Nobody saw it again. The fate of the people and the ship is still unknown.

4. Cyclops
The naval ship Cyclops went missing in March 1918. It left Rio de Janeiro and was heading for Norfolk. There were more than 300 passengers and crew members on board. The last time the ship got in touch was not far from the island of Barbados, and it was not possible to contact it again. All searches were unsuccessful. There were many different versions of the disappearance of the "Cyclops", but what actually happened to the ship, we will never know. The ship is still missing. As President Woodrow Wilson said, "Only God and the sea know what happened."

5. Rubicon
In October 1944, the American ship Rubicon disappeared near the Bermuda Triangle. After a while, it was discovered by the US Coast Guard off the coast of Florida. The ship was in excellent condition, but the ship's equipment disappeared without a trace. Only one living soul remained on board of the Rubicon - the ship's dog. The secret of the "Rubicon" has not yet been solved.
