I am so honored to say that I am here with the amazing stars of Wicked, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Thank you, ladies, for this beautiful opportunity. Thank you so much, Taylan, you're wonderful. Let's get started. Yes. Cynthia. Yes, ma'am. I have followed you and your journey for some time now. You are fashion. You are music. You are Broadway. You are the big screen. You are inspiration. What would you say to 10-year-old you at this exact moment in your life? I would say to my 10-year-old self to keep going, to believe in herself, and that she's doing okay. She's going to do well. Yes. I'd say that. And never give up. Never give up. Keep going. Keep trying. That's right. Yes. Ariana, you have been manifesting this role since a very young age. Take us through that first reaction when you were asked to play Glinda. Glinda. And who were you most excited to tell and why? Oh, my goodness. I mean, I think that exact moment was the most overwhelming moment of my entire life. I've never felt that level of excitement, joy, gratitude all at once. I was absolutely out of body. I was most excited to tell, of course, my mom and to find out who my Elfie was and to call this one and say congratulations and to hold hands and meet and start our journey. As sisters, you guys are literally sisters. It's true. You're like best friends. You guys are literally meant for each other. Just know that. Cynthia, let's talk about Elphaba discovering her true power. That's right. If you could choose a magical power, what would it be and how would you use it in your everyday life? I actually really like Elphaba's powers. She has the power to see the future. She has, like, visions. And if I could help her learn how to control it and to funnel it in the right way, I would probably have that. Not so I could see my own future, but so I could preempt what people needed to be able to help. And obviously, I love the power to fly. And what we decided is that she has a power of gravity, so she can remove gravity, have gravity, whichever you want to. Fun. Yeah. It's a fun one. Convenient. LA traffic. That's what I'm saying. I would keep that for sure. I feel like I would love to fly. It's just so magical, and you could just go anywhere you want to go and really be free. And I think that's just the beauty of flying and amazing powers. Young Ariana in Glenda's closet. What is she grabbing? Or should I say, what did you take with you? Oh, gosh. I mean, young Ariana and 31-year-old Ariana stole a lot of things from me. I would take my penoir, my popular penoir, my Ozdust ballroom dress, my pink bubble dress, my pajamas for What Is This Feeling?, my bubble dress for Movie 2, my She's One uniform, my She's Two uniform, my She's Three uniform. Wow. Oh, yeah. Elphaba's She's One uniform, Elphaba's She's Two uniform. Oh, I did steal my cardigan with the hood that I whisper, not whisper, but that I am looking at you in the field with the hat and the tulips and the poppies. And yeah, there wasn't much that I wouldn't steal. I didn't. I did. Okay. We'll save you a pair of our PJs. We'll save you some good shiz cardigans or something. I think I would have taken everything. Yeah, what would you pick? The bubble dress. The bubble dress is pretty good, yeah. And pop in the bubble. Yeah. Magical. I just want to say. I'm so happy you're here. We love you. It's so great. It's exciting. We all know now, pink goes well with green. Yeah. Well with green. Cynthia, what is something that most people don't know about Ariana and would have to see it to believe it? I don't actually think people know what a great producer you are. She does a lot of the production on her own music and music in general. She's very good with the technical part of making music. Thank you. So if we're in the recording booth and we need to edit and comp and cut and splice, she's beyond. Some of the best work I've ever seen comes from her. That's one thing that I think people don't realize. They don't realize how genius she is when it comes to the fullness of making music, not just the vocals. That's one thing I don't think people know. I did not know that. Thank you. Ariana, what is something that most people don't know about Cynthia and would have to see it to believe it? The way you constantly champion everyone around you and take care of everyone around you. It's the sweetest and funniest thing in the entire world. She will move so quickly to take care of anything for anyone. If there is a hair out of place on someone, if there is a bow tie that needs straightening, if there is an accident. One time, there was a broomstick that hit me in the nose. By the time I opened my eyes, Cynthia was here. She was like, do you need eyes? Are you okay? By the time my eyes had opened, I don't know how you got there that quickly. I don't even know if you were in the room. She heard a doink and came flying in by the time I opened my eyes. She's just the ultimate, most caring, nurturing, generous, thoughtful person. Looking at all times for everyone else, looking out, making sure everyone's okay. Yeah, I love that. It's really true. Yes, we know you're the most talented being on the earth, but her generosity and her thoughtfulness, I'd say. Wow. It's funny. You've got to be careful what you say. That's true. Yeah, if you're like, oh goodness, my throat's a little sore. She'll be like, do you need a lozenge? And then 30,000 Dredder's pastilles will come flying in. It's the sweetest thing. What I really got from this film and this interview is the way you guys complement each other through your voices, kindness, and your magic. It doesn't even only show in the film, but in real life.
