Drametse Ngacham or the "Dance of the Drums of Drametse," is known to be originated in
the 16th century at present day Drametse in Mongar district. Drametse, is about 89 KM from Mongar town and 30 KM from Trashigang. It was founded by Ani Choeten Zangmo, granddaughter of Terton Pema Lingpa. She is an epitome for human enlightenment who abandoned worldly desires in pursuit of spirituality.
