Pacific Championships 2024 | Kangaroos v Tonga XIII | Match Highlights

The finals underway and the opening collisions. Blake comes rampaging back past the 20 metre line. Australia from one end to the other. Test match, 10 metres away. Less than a metre from the line, Harry Grant. Six more tackles. They've only used three tackles on this refresh set. Comes back to Dearden with that settling run. Seven away. Just outside the left-hand post. Now Lomax. He can never be accused of letting the game... Lomax can, he's always... Dearden, so is he! Trabojevic waiting. Turbo with the afterburn as he's gone. Let's talk about Tommy Dearden down the left side. This try here, this is his tenth play. On the inside. Tom Dearden, Isaiah Yodes. And now Trabojevic with a catch and change of direction. He's going to try and muscle his way... Video review, we have no try. Lehigh helped a lot. He's got his left hand underneath the football. Dearden again, flat. Out the back, Moses. Intercept ball! Sioni Katoa. He used to be an absolute flyer, but he's pulling up here. He looks lame. He would have caught him on the pony during the week at Flemington. Sammy would have got him. It's still alive, though. Especially with those white pants on, Bill. Oh, no! Katoa's dropped it. Stirring defence by the Australians. Could all break this time. Roller here, roller in behind. The chase is on. The try is scored. Hamali on a kawatu. Has he got Tommy back in the gap? Yeah, nice play. Right underneath the post here. One for the line. He's not going to get there. Look at the scramble. I think it's a try. Elie Katoa remains in possession and grounds the ball in the end zone. Decision made. Game on. Now Moses has got himself in behind the play here. Across to Hamaso. Codes up and over. Surely it can't be a put down from there. Not like the one earlier. Taffere says he's scored. Out of the field of play. Look at that. Oh no. Has he dropped it? He's dropped it. Australia are the champs. 2014 on a memorable afternoon at Combank Stadium.
