“The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party Should Be Part of the U.S. Education System” — Veteran International Journalist

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP held a rally in Flushing, New York, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party published by The Epoch Times and celebrating 438 million people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations (the Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers).
Veteran American television journalist, political analyst, and producer of the podcast Mike of New York, Mike K. Cohen, delivered a speech and accepted an interview. The full translation is as follows:

Even a blind man knows: the CCP must end.
Hello everyone, I am Mike Cohen. I worked for many years as a journalist in Asia. I was born in Asia, and my father was born in Shanghai. Through my family, we saw the CCP early on — how its violence and oppression extended beyond China’s borders.
Today, I’m not wearing an anti-CCP hat because I want the people from the Chinese consulate to see my face, and to know that Americans will fight you worldwide for freedom and democracy. Even those of us who cannot see still know of your existence, and we know your end is coming.
Ladies and gentlemen, good morning. Today is Sunday, a day of worship for Christians like me. If this were China, and we said, “God bless you,” without permission from the state, all of us — including myself — could face arrest. We would not even be allowed to gather to worship God because the Party does not permit it. They do not want people to worship anything but themselves.
So what do they worship in Beijing? They worship profit and money. They pretend to be communists, but they are not at all.
Now I want to stray slightly from my prepared remarks, though the essence is the same. Unfortunately, I suffer from glaucoma, so my vision is not what it used to be.
I want to speak clearly about the Seventh Commentary, which addresses the CCP’s death policies. Not far from here, there are doctors working for the CCP who sell the organs of political prisoners, Falun Gong practitioners, and others whom the Party decides can be used for organ harvesting. That’s why I call the CCP the “Party of Death.” They pursue only death — but never their own. They sell everything, including blood, organs, skin, and eyes. If I lacked a conscience, I could buy eyes somewhere to replace the ones that no longer serve me. But I will not do that, because I refuse to see my fellow human beings suffer.
I also spoke about the Ninth Commentary, which is particularly important for parents here in Flushing. If you see the vices, crimes, gangs, and drugs affecting your families, it is because the CCP is selling the precursor chemicals to produce drugs like methamphetamine and fentanyl.
I once spoke with an agent from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and you can look up congressional reports online that state clearly: in the United States, out of every $100 in organized crime profits, at least $30 goes to China. One-third. That money ends up in the CCP’s coffers. That is why they are now the largest criminal organization in the world — no longer just a political party.
In my remarks, I also said very directly that even the blind must realize that some things invisible can still be discovered, if we are willing to seek them out. Even people without eyes can see a free future without the CCP.
So today I say to you: God bless you. You are in America. If anyone here is a “snakehead” working for the CCP, extorting money from you because you paid them to come here or to work here — do not be afraid. Report them to the authorities. That might even help you stay here legally. Expose their crimes. Show their wrongdoing. This is America. You have not only freedom of speech, but also freedom of action.
Together, we can end the CCP.
God bless Flushing. God bless the people of China. God bless the United States of America. And God bless you all. Thank you!
