Enrico Fermi

Get more bang for your buck with Enrico Fermi and nuclear fission. As you see in this picture, when a larger nucleus represented by the big red and white cluster is split by a neutron, it separates into little parts called nuclei, causing a simultaneous release of energy, like this explosion here. Nuclear fission has helped develop technology like x-rays, radiotherapy, electricity from nuclear power plants, and advances in warfare technology. Enrico is in charge of a project called the Manhattan Project, where he contained nuclear fission to create the atom bomb to be used during World War II. To end without Fermi's discoveries, who knows how World War II would end? There would be no radiation therapy for cancer patients, no x-rays for broken bones or injuries, and no efficient electricity from power plants. So vote for Enrico Fermi and nuclear fission.
